If Comcast didn’t have a monopoly, I wouldn’t use their service. I use them because I have no other option for the service that I need.
Today when my cable modem went out, the customer support rep had the nerve to ask me if I had a power outage because maybe that was why my service was down. Then when I asked to speak to his supervisor he told me that his supervisor was not available.
I got off the phone and immediately called their corporate office at 215−286−1700 and was speaking with a human being within 30 seconds of dialing the phone, instead of the 10 minute or longer wait when you call their 1 – 800 customer «service» number, and I asked them to have management review the recording of the call and also figure out what they need to do in order to provide me with reliable Internet service that actually works for 6 months in a row without going down once.
I’m not holding my breath on that one. I don’t think the Comcast management team in Southwest Florida is competent enough to provide a working service.

Had to give at least 1 star to post this, if not it would be minus 5 stars! I had comcast hooked up 2 months ago with the new xfinity 1 box. Supposedly the best thing since sliced bread. It’s a data monster. Sucks data like a 2 year old on a juice box. Signal not strong enough to support to TV. I have had 7 technicians called to my house because my TV keeps freezing up then tells me it has lost signal and then switches back to previous channel. Had amplifier installed and still no change. In a nut shell, Direct TV is the best and if your thinking about switching don’t do it. Comcast service representatives are the worst people to deal with out of every representatives I have every dealt with. Pay a little more and go with Direct TV.

If I could give this company a «minus» star it would rate
«minus 5». I just returned to them for Internet access after leaving them 4 years ago for another carrier. Nothing but a nightmare for what should have been a simple transaction. Ignorant, non-​caring employees who flat out lie to you. The employees are interested only in upselling to get their spiffs. No wonder they have the very worst customer satisfaction of almost any company in the US (not just cable providers).
What is equally sad is that we in Florida pay the highest «communication» taxes and fees of any state
and get zero support from the regulators and lawmakers (what else is new).
If you have ANY alternative to this company,
you will do yourself a favor by choosing that alternative.

I could go into detail but you would be reading this review as long as I was on the phone. At least 90 minutes! Trying to get service. How bad is that for customer service. We are forced to use xfinity because our building requires it. It was a really bad experience and I still don’t have service!

I wish I could give zero never met a bunch of incompetent stupid people that have no idea what they doing in my life! I had service with them for two years now I moved in your house they claim I have all the money from 2009 nobody talk to nobody understand English the worst customer service ever if you have a chance pay double somewhere else don’t get them !!!

I just looked at my ebill and realized I have been charged for Playboy and Streampix for six months that I NEVER ordered. The best they could do if they listen to the recording 6 months ago when they realize I didn’t order them is to credit me for 60 days. My bad for not checking my bill but Real Bad for Comast to add those to my bill. COMCAST SUCKS!

Ordered service before coming to Florida. Installer was on loan from SC. He came on Monday ¹²⁄₂₉ but did not have the box needed for DVR. He could not get out WIFI to work on our tablets or Kindle. Called Comcast who shipped the DVR box. Called help line several times for help with Wifi they could not get it to work. DVR box arrived ½ but when it was connected did not work and Comcast could not get it to work. After many hang up and over 2 hours nothing was accomplished! Set up appointment for tech to come out ¹⁄₉. We contacted Verizon and Kindle who tried to get our tablets and Kindle to work but it was a cable issue. Tech came out ¹⁄₉ and fixed both problems in 20 minutes. If you call Comcast insist on a tech!!!

Typical Comcast. Wait wait wait. Bring «War and Peace» to read. We have waited 50 minutes already and still 16 ahead of us.

We waited 2 weeks after or actual appointment before we got any service. This company does not have any communication between there departments. We put in a complain to customer service, to a manager, who told us we would hear back from someone in 24 hrs and never received a call or apology. Very unprofessional.

I have never been to this particular Comcast office. This is a comment on Comcast as a company/​calling center. I recently moved from Ohio to Florida in January and started my Comcast service in February of 2014. In October, I had to move to a new location within Florida due to bad management/​one real creep at my old apartment. That is neither here nor there. I explained my situation over the phone to a woman at Comcast’s call center. I told her I did not want to pay for the installation charges when I moved to my new apartment, because I had just paid them only 8 months prior. She sounded very understanding, said Ok, she would write a note on my account and I could call back after I moved and the charges would be taken off of my account. She said there was no way to remove the charges until after the installation was performed. So I move in to my new apartment… I get the bill…$ 127. $ 70+ in just installation fees. Ridiculous! I think I paid $ 30 – 40 the first time. I call Comcast after I get the bill and I could have sworn it was the same woman I spoke to before I moved. I explain how I was told the charges would be dropped and that there should be a note on my account. This time the woman sounds defensive, has no idea what I’m talking about, and says she will write a ticket for the department that takes care of such things. A week or so later I get a bill for $ 179 dollars. I don’t mind paying my bills. I have always paid them on time, usually 2 – 3 weeks early. But I do mind being LIED TO. And I mind being put off. Comcast’s website has no where to submit general complaints (only complaints about their website) which I also think is crappy. That just shows how much they care about providing good service.

If I could give one hundred negative stars I would. This has to be the absolute worst customer service ever. I was told a technician was coming today between 1 – 3. No one showed. I called, and they said they had nothing indicating I was on the schedule… They asked if I had a ticket number, and of course I did not as I had no idea I needed a ticket number, nor was I offered one. So, I was then told they could do tomorrow between 10 and 12, and I said fine, however, last second I asked for that magical Ticket Number…, She then put me on a long hold, coming back and telling me tomorrow is full, no ticket number to give. All a big Joke!!!
Comcast is the Absolute, bunch of complete idiots.

Don’t even bother with this awful company… My cable has been out for two weeks. They were supposed to come out that first Sunday, but didn’t. I called, complained. ‘We will be out there on the 10^th. When I confirm the appt the night before, they moved the appt to the 23^rd. 2 more weeks without? Gee should I call and complain? Why bother? Nothing changes! A company of idiots probably ran by idiots!!! Century link I will give u a shot. Comcast is the FACE of poor customer service!

Problem with Comcash is it’s too big and now barely cares about you the «consumer». You will notice that the box they give you crashes monthly or more. This requires you to call their hotline and go through about 6 various phone menu options and listening to extra info, takes nearly 5 min. Then you are connected to an Indian with a thick accent only for him to ask you to repeat all the info you just typed into the dumb menu system! Come on this is the digital age! Speaking of digital. a few years ago you used to be able to get HD channels over the cable line direct to your tv. NOW. You have to pay Comcast for an adapter that you have to plug into your electricity, and pay $ 1.99 p/​month… AND NOT Get HD anymore! &€%#@!
Problem is your kinda stuck with Comcash. Basically they have a direct line into your home that gives very fast web speed, satellite be damned.
Best advice I can give is to complain a lot about your bill and demand them to lower it or you will walk. Ask for extras and stuff, it’s all negotionable.

Comcast could be the worse company I have ever had to do business with. Not sure what location but I live in Venice. A Comcast subcontractor «drilled» a hole to run a new cable to our building due to the old cable having breaks in the cable. They drilled right through our sewer line causing a blockage twice. We had to have a company run a camera into the sewer line to see what is causing the repeated blockage. The Comcast cable!
Now we have raw sewage leaking into the ground! Took five days for the Comcast tech to get here and then he said it was not their cable. I saw the subcontractor drill the hole and run the cable.
After some time he did say that there was some work done at our site but still not sure if it is their cable. They will send out a construction crew in another couple of days. Meanwhile the sewage continues to leak! We do not want to fix the pipe until Comcast agrees it was their fault and will pay the bills! So far it’s over $ 1,500.
No sense of urgency on Comcast part whatsoever.
Just a piss poor company!

Worst cable provider experience ever… I’ve had Fios (best), Direct TV, Time Warner and none are as unfocused on the customer as Comcast.
An absolute battle to resolve an issue, the ordering of services does not prepare you for the «complete’ billing that follows. Install charges, Hardware changes, Pre Pay for service, and just plain all around lack of any desire to resolve an issue, much less any clear understanding on the customer service end to figure out why you are calling.
Would set up a dish if I could. New home choice will definitely be dictated by avoiding Comcast, their that bad.

Do NOT even waste your time or your money using this service. It takes you hours to give them money ! ! ! I needed wifi for a rental unit. The wait was awful just to get information. The staff is totally overwhelmed. I could not get thru on the phone# that I was given to cancel the order. They could not find the record of it when I returned to the storefront. I went to Best Buy and bought a mobile hotspot and it’s great… take it with me when I travel anywhere. Shame on Comcast for not giving better service to Seniors too.

Avoid COMCAST in Punta Gorda, FL — They «bait and switch»!!
After (2) hours on the phone with a Comcast Sales Person, we thought we had agreed on a bundled Phone /​TV /​Internet /​Security package for our new home.
When we confirmed the installation date, we were told that it had to be moved one week because the Security Package required a special Tech Rep for the installation.
When the Tech Rep arrived on the new date, he said his order did not include the Security System and that he wasn’t qualified to install it. Also, he said, that he knew what we wanted, and had ordered from the Comcast Sales Person, but that it wasn’t available at our new home without first having another company hard-​wire in a code-​compliant, whole house, smoke detection system ($ 2 – 3,000)!
After talking to the Tech Rep for an hour, his Manager for ½ hour, the Regional Sales Rep and his Manager for an hour, all who came to our new home, we cancelled the order. They told us that they had to personally talk to us at our new home in order do a correct install. (i.e. the Comcast Sales Person was totally wrong in what she promissed)
We’ve now referred the issue to Comcast’s VP of Customer Service to see if he can untangle the mess (i.e. lies) or if we have to go to Verizon or CenturyLing/​DishTV for service.
AVOID COMCAST! They «Bait and Switch», then demand you pay by Cashier’s Check at time of installation!

Great … connected to Xfinity 3 ways … four days ago … I have NO tv signal … they deny me access to their on line help because they say I don’t know the answer to my «secret question» … for an account that I did not set up. My installer did NOT leave any manuals, instructions or other directions of how to run the equipment. Now after three days … I have no TV … no access to my online account, an account «security question» I don’t know the answer to? Goof grief, who knows when I will get TV access again ??? Comcast does NOT seem to care and treats thlis as NORMAL. My someone «HELP» me … because it seems that Comcast only cares about me paying their bill ! Can they really get by with this horrible service?

Wish I could give this horrid company no stars. They deserve ZERO! We arranged our internet and tv service three weeks before our move. I must add that the idiot that took our order was just that– an idiot. She had an attitude you can’t imagine because I asked for a different person to take my order based on the fact that she didn’t understand that the word terrace was an actual word that could be attributed to an address.
Cut to the chase. The day of our install a very nice contractor (private contractor that does not actually work for Comast) shows up. He proceeds to go over our order and tells us that they have not included a wireless router in our order. WTF? We went through hell and high water with this company at that point. We need our internet service for our business and Comcast admitted (while on the phone with the contractor) that it was their mistake but again had an attitude and told us it would be another 5 days before they could come out and bring a wireless router and that we would be charged another $ 50 fee for install!!#*#(&#(@*&#(&#(8
After much hating of this horrid company, we got our own router and had it installed.
Move forward to later that night. Our Infinity HD TV service was installed. We watched it for a day and it honestly looked like CRAP! Horrible channels and horrible picture. I mean honestly, when you include a few dozen QVC channels and a few more government access channels and voila — you’ve got a huge package of junk from Comcast. Not to mention they charge you $ 18 per receiver and for every piece of garbage you use. AND– suppose it breaks when you are renting it– they come out and STILL CHARGE YOU FOR IT!
We did more research and called DirectTV. They came out the next day — right on time and with the correct order and equipment. They installed our TV service and the picture was incredible. It was like night and day AND we had double the channels with true HD (1080) and gave us NFL ticket for free for the season and 3 months free of a premium package. Comcast calls their service HD but it is only 720. DirectTV also allows you to control your recordings through your smartphone, ipad or computer. Comcast has NONE of that. They are years behind.
Today, we went to return the loserbox and found it interesting to hear so many people complaining as they returned their loserboxes as well. When we cancelled our service, the girl behind the counter had the nerve to tell us that she would have to raise our rate on internet because «We are a cable company– Not an internet company.» Looks like we’ll be looking for an alternate internet company before our thirty days are up as well. And actually, it’s not that fast. It’s all a big façade that Comcast tries to portray.
We were willing to deal with the horrible employees that answer the phones — but not the HORRIBLE actual service you receive. Don’t waste your time or money. They are such a ripoff. And let me say that I wrote this while deep in a cross country move. I want to warn people this much!
