Just discovered this place and I’m so glad I did. Food was great and you can tell every ingredient is of very high quality. Good coffee and friendly service. What more could you ask for? Two thumbs way up.

My family was in Jacksonville for the first time and wanted to eat somewhere that we don’t have in Belleville, IL, so we at here on June 11, 2016. I LOVE this restaurant! I ordered the five and dime, mac n cheese, and coffee. After trying the maple coffee, I bought a bag to take back with me so everyone in my office could have it. When we questioned what kind of gravy they use, we were given a couple little plastic containers so we could sample it, and we ended up eating both samples before our food arrived because we enjoyed it so much. When we were about done with our meal, we were given 6 pecan biscuits for dessert; my son is allergic to nuts, so they made a biscuit with frosting special for him. I loved everything about this restaurant and I would sign up to be the first person in the door if this restaurant ever opened up in the Belleville area.

This place is delicious. Ordered the five and dime biscuit and had the gravy on the side. The coffee is freshly roasted and is amazing. The price is a bit high, but they use high quality ingredients. Overall, great breakfast.

First, I love the San Marco location. But as this location is more conveniently located, I decided to roll out of bed for the goodness that is all things Maple Street! No problem! Same consistency in the awesomeness of the food, staff, service, and cleanliness! On my last visit, they even threw in a free dessert– just to be amazing! Great to know I have two equally great options when I’m craving MSBC! Thanks for not making me pick a side! Of course I’ll be moving on to other locations, but for now I’m in good hands at Fruit Cove(and San Marco)! Sweet!

I just recently made my way to this awesome restaurant. To call it just a biscuit is an understatement. It’s a meal that you need a knife and a fork to eat. The chicken biscuit with pickles and whatever else was on it was to die for. They have friend green tomatoes and if you read my other reviews you know I can’t resist fried green tomatoes. They are very good as well. Lots to try on the menu. You have to go there. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Closed on Sunday’s.

My husband absolutely loves this place! His favorite is the five and dime and mine would probably have to be the chicken club. Every time we come in there is great customer service and it’s always really clean! I love the seating that’s inside but faces outdoors! That’s probably my favorite place to sit :) only bad thing is that they’re closed on Sunday’s and that’s usually my day off(Bummer)!

This was my first time at this location. It is far larger than the others but still had the amazing charm of the others that makes you feel like you are in a shop in the mountains. The food is always on point with the fluffy biscuits, juicy fried chicken and spicy sausage gravy. It is to die for!!! I would eat it everyday if my wallet could stand it. When family comes to visit I always take them to a MapleStreet because its unlike any other place they’ve been. Go get some and see, you won’t be disapointed and they are popping up with new locations all the time.

So my family and I ate at the San Marco location only to find out here was one closer to where we lived-so we tried this one the next day. We are definitely fans and love the different variations of biscuits. The staff was very friendly, restaurant nice and clean. There’s inside and outside seating. We will definitely be making another visit.

All I can say is wow! I have wanted to come here for about a year or so, but my wife was never really that excited to go there. Today was our day off and she suggested we go because she felt like biscuits and gravy. I don’t think I could have enjoyed this place more than I did. The Loaded Goat features a fried chicken breast and goat cheese on a fresh biscuit. It was simply perfection. Flaky, warm, tangy and so well seasoned. I could eat that sandwich every day. My wife went for the biscuits and gravy with a fried egg and it was far and away the best I’d ever had in my life. The gravy, which is usually sausage flavored glue had a velvety texture that was so flavorful and delicious. The egg was unlike a normal egg as it was so fresh and full of flavor. What are they doing here? I’m stifled by how such simple food can be done so well. Great location, great décor and a great super friendly staff. I loved this place!

The Five & Dime. The End. I really do need to open up and try other biscuits but I just can’t help but get only The Five & Dime. I like that they do things different with having a question of the day or month that they yell out for their customers to pick up their food at the front. It gets interesting what other people have as answers.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place before. This is the best breakfast spot ever! I always get the five and dime, which is a homemade biscuit with fried chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, and topped with a fried egg(I get mine over easy so the yolk runs everywhere), & sausage gravy. When my husband and I first started coming here, we kept one of the menus and began checking off all of the things that we tried. Now, I can’t help but to get my five and dime and let him keep getting all of the new items. This way I know I get my favorite and I also get to try the new stuff, too ;) Sometimes they will walk around giving away those little sweet biscuits which is such a treat. It’s hard to save room for all of that though. Trust me you will need a nap after visiting the Maple Street Biscuit Company. To help alleviate the need for a nap we drink their maple tap coffee when we are there and take a bag to grind at home. If you visit the Julington Creek location, you will see how they prepare their beans because their set up is right in the open.

OMG! Are you kidding me? I had to come to Fruit Cove to find this amazing restaurant?! What a marvelous little gem; perfect biscuits, gravy, eggs, coffee, etc., etc. Great concept, great execution, wonderful breakfast. Might have to move to the Jacksonville area just to be able to eat here a few times a week! PLEASE open one of these near Tampa… soon!!! Thanks fellow Unilocalers for your reviews about Maple Street Biscuits; never would have found them on my own.

This is a cool restaurant we discovered(through Unilocal,of coarse) while visiting family in Jacksonville. When we walked in, a man greeted us and explained the ordering process and the different items offered on the menu. We ordered at the counter and then sit and wait until we’re called. Rather than giving your name, they ask a question. The day we were there they asked«what was your favorite Christmas present?». Then they call you up by your response. There were some pretty funny responses. There were so many items I wanted to order but I decided to go with the Five and Dime. Wow, am I glad I did! It was delicious! The Five and Dime is a Flaky biscuit, all natural fried chicken breast, pecan wood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese topped with sausage gravy with a little kick and a fried egg on top. We also ordered«Bob» hashups that were very good. They had pulled pork, red and green peppers, mushrooms, cheese, and a fried egg on top! Yum! Next time we’re in Jacksonville I’ll definitely stop by for breakfast again! v

What a treat this place was! Hardy, home cooked, southern food is where it’s at! Service: 4⁄5 This is a seat yourself kind of place. You walk in, order and pay at the register, then find an available seat. What’s really cool is that at the register, they ask you a question like«what’s your favorite Christmas song?» and use your answer to give you your food for pick up. When we came, it was pretty busy and our order got backed up because the fried chicken wasn’t ready for us. Definitely took a little longer than I was expecting which was disappointing because I was starving. But when we brought it up to the worker they expedited our order which was very nice! Food: 5⁄5 We had the«David» hash up which was their potatoes with bell peppers, chunks of ham, cheese, and sausage gravy. It was amazing. We also shared the«squaking goat» and«the five» which comes with home made biscuits and fried chicken. The goat has fried goat cheese and pepper jelly which was my favorite. Who knew this would taste so good? I would say this is a must have. Price: 5⁄5 this is relatively cheap for what you get. The food is $ 6-$ 8 for a lot, totally worth it. Price:

I love this place. I went about a year ago while traveling. I was excited when I move to Jax it was so close. We went and ordered the BLT, biscuits and grave with a sunny side up egg and had pups with mushroom gravy. We went in hungry and left extreamly satisfied. Biscuits were flaky and flavorful. The bacon crispy and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. My boyfriend had a large plate of flavorful gravy with a slight spice to it. A nice over easy fried egg ozzed all over when he broke it open. Coffee is fresh roasted on site and real mugs are available for self service. We sat outside and enjoyed the cool fall morning over looking a water feature. I also highly recommend the homemade apple butter. One can’t slather enough on the biscuits. …or spoon… finger…yum. enjoy!

This was my first time at this location and it was so big and nice! It was very clean and soon as I walked in I smelled the coffee! Yummmmmm! I haven’t been in awhile so I’ve noticed how the menus has changed and they’ve added some more delicious stuff. The first few times I went I always got the farmer. Which is a biscuit with chicken breast, bacon, cheese, and apple butter. It was really good! But today one of the workers(I hate that I don’t recall his name) told me about some top choices and he really guided me in the right direction because that hash up dish was so good! The potatoes were so seasoned, the peppers and onions were delicious. The ham was DELICIOUS! I can not wait to go back. Oh how I’ve missed Maple Street!

You guys, eat here. The experience to start is so cool. Instead of taking your name for your order, like soooo many other spots, they have a question of the day for you to answer and they call your order by that. HOWCOOL? On the day we went, the question was: «What’s Your Favorite Movie?» — So I went with a top 3 of mine, Good Will Hunting. The coolest thing about this was when they yelled out Weird Science, I gave props to that chick because I adore that movie. It was a cool interaction. So this just set me in the mood to love this place in addition to hearing so many great things. — The décor is very farmhouse, rustic picnic style and so clean. — They have iced coffee at their drink station, yes please! I have never seen that as an option before. — I went with The Farmer: Flaky biscuit, all natural fried chicken, pecan wood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese topped with fresh house made apple butter. Simply delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the biscuit was fluffy amazing. There was a ton of apple butter so I took some off but it mixed perfectly with the bacon. — Covered outside seating was key on this gorgeous day. — Smokey Mountain Mac-N-Cheese — Five cheese baked macaroni with cheese cracker crust. So dang creamy and the Cheez-It crumbles on top made for the perfect crunch to the cream. Dang, now I am craving this and I am writing from Orlando… please send chicken and biscuits.

I have been here before during a Unilocal Event. At that time i bought fried green tomatos. That day i thought they were the best ones i ever had. Perfectly well crafted. Batter was out of this world. Taste was excellent. I even bought another side order to bring home so everybody would taste them. I had been craving the fried green tomatos from this place all month. So this morning i decided to go get me a couple of orders to satisfy my cravings. I got to this place and order two side orders of fried green tomatos. 1 it took the order at least 15 mins to come out 2 i took them home and what a dissapointment. Batter was falling of and it was drenched in oil. Is like they were fried at a lower temperature than 350 degrees Batter was overpowerd with black pepper I was dissapointed with my orders. Ill try them again some other time. Maybe they were too busy today but that is no excuse to serve an oily fried dish

Yes so happy they made a Maple Street closer to where I live! This is a beautiful free standing building(good job Mark!:)) painted green, so you know when you see it. When you go in, it is bright airy, open, and huge inside! Alot of space to enjoy a really delicious biscuit… and they do them right, crispy on the outside and flakey buttery on the inside. I went with the squalking goat– biscuit, fried chicken, fried goat cheese medallion, pepper jelly… oh my gosh so good!!! These sandwiches are so big how do you get it all in your mouth? I have my technique! lol I eat the top biscuit with the innards, then eat the bottom biscuit with some Jelly or Jam… delish!

Biscuits baby! This is the brand spankin’ newest of the Maple Street locations(as of this point, plans are definitely in the works for more) but you can still expect the same quality and awesome biscuit here. The popularity and growth of our local and beloved biscuit joint has been unmatched with anything else I’ve seen here, and it’s so amazing to see some local boys do so good. This store is a bit bigger than all the others, and seems like something JC might have needed! It’s just behind the main plaza, so if you take a left on Race Track, you’ll see it on your left hand side. Big, bright, clean and airy, this location offers outside seating, with a lovely view. What is super cool and unique about this one, is they roast all of their coffee here.(I knew the coffee was excellent, but didn’t realize they roast their own!) You can see the process taking place in the store, which is open for everyone to see. Very neat! And just like the other locations, you can expect the same favorites(it’s hard for me to order anything but the Ralphie Deluxe… THATGRAVYMAN!) and super friendly service with a smile. Open M-T for breakfast lunch, and dinner on Fri and Sat, and just perfect for biscuits«just like my granny used to make» quick bite. :)
