Established in 2006.

Spiering Photography has photographed more than 100 weddings around the country, mostly in Northern Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley and Washington DC. Photographer, Craig Spiering, shoots weddings and portraits using an unobtrusive, photojournalistic approach – focusing on the natural beauty in each unique person and situation.

Business Owner

Craig Spiering is a former military photojournalist who launched Spiering Photography in 2006 and photographs weddings and portraits with a particular energy and dedication to honesty, as well as an artistic sensibility and desire to capture natural beauty. Winner of the 2013 WeddingWire Bride’s Choice award, Craig is personable, fun and easy to work with.

Craig is an amazing photographer. If you don’t know it already, he photographed a very notable wedding a couple of years ago (and perhaps others as well; I wouldn’t know because he is discrete) of the Archduke Imre and his wife Kathleen.
The photos he takes, in particular of Catholic weddings and churches, are absolutely outstanding. He truly is able to capture the essence of the moment, regardless if it’s a wedding.
I highly recommend Craig.

Craig flew to Arizona to photograph our wedding and I must say he is worth every cent. He did an incredible job capturing our most special day; from directing us and the wedding party for our group shots to the photographing the touching moments like our first dance. He was unobtrusive and wonderful to be around plus a lot of fun! He flowed with our guests and was so professional too. We have seen the pictures and they are incredible– artistic and varied with a perfect balance of people, light and scenery. You will be so pleased with Craig’s pictures, I know I am!!!
