This is the best Mexican food I have found in Frisco. I have been searching for good Mexican food in Frisco for over a year. I keep coming back to Tupy’s. The store is well managed. The service is generally very good. The food is consistent and good. This is solid Tex-Mex comfort food. It is nice to have this restaurant near me and I’m glad they are in Frisco. Try the Mexican flag, it never disappoints.

This has become my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant. The salsa has some heat and the chicken relleno with a little sour cream sauce, a little verde sauce and a little queso is the best I’ve ever had!

Fairly awesome. Interesting and slightly unique menu items(guisa and such… Check out the menu).Food is great each time I have been here — about 4 times. The servers are nice, very friendly. Food is great. They aren’t afraid to give you a decent share of avocado! Everywhere else is a tiny sliver. The drinks are good… you get your money worth. So why not 5 stars… it is SO bright in here for Saturday night dinner. It wasn’t so bright when we got here. Someone(manager, I think), actually turned the lights brighter(about 8:30 on Saturday night?). I asked the hostess to turn them back down, but they didn’t. Its like the«lunch» brightness in here on a weekend night.

VERYBASIC. After a couple of bites, everything seemed to taste the same. My fiancé and I assumed that in such a nice location, that this place had to be good. Once again, another local Mexican food disappointment. The chips and salsa are good, enchiladas are not bad, stuffed jalapeños are handmade, but no flavor, fried taco and tostada had no wow factor. Taco Cabana has more flavor, unfortunately. I should’ve known because there’s not many pictures posted. The food looks better than it tastes.

Strong and yummy Margarita’s, check! Delish, satisfying and filling Mexican comfort food, check! What else does one need? My sweets and I have ordered takeout from here and dined in. The service is always great and you will leave with a full belly and a smile on your face. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Their menu is huge and has great options. I love there combo selection. I always get a Tupy taco which is a must. The prices are very reasonable. Almost too reasonable for how much food you get. Man I miss Texas!

I’m writing this review while in the restaurant because our waiter has been missing for the past 20 minutes and I’m pretty sure I’m stuck here for the rest of my life. The queso is nothing special. It’s just queso. Not spicy in the slightest, not memorable. My wife ordered the beef nachos which tasted suspiciously like a bandaid. Now I’ve never tasted a bandaid before, but it smelled just like one. It was very greasy and dripped off the chip. I ordered a beef enchilada. Again, not memorable. It was ground beef in an enchilada with queso on top. La de da. What I hated though was that the rice and beans were all up in my enchilada’s business. I mean maybe my enchilada didn’t want to be touching them. Maybe it didn’t want their bean and rice cooties. Did they think of that? The house chips were very thick. Crispy and crunchy. I’ve now been here over half an hour waiting for my waiter. Behind me on my right is six professional women screaming at the top of their lungs getting hammered. From one female to another, you’re embarrassing our species. Simmer the eff down. On my left is a table of children. Just children. Why? Because their parents got a separate table. If your parents don’t even want to sit at the same table as you, you know those kids are bad. On another note a man with a long trench coat just walked in. When is it ever appropriate to wear a trench coat anywhere? The same exact song has been playing for the past hour I’ve been held here. I’m losing my mind. I want to go home. Just let me go home.

For a busy Friday night, they were quick to get people seated and taken care of right away! Our server was top notch, and persistent. He answered questions and was patient while we figured out our order. With how packed the place was, they were quick to get our food out. Which was pretty good! My roommates and I are new to the DFW area, and have struggled with finding a good mexian restaurant that meets all of food and dining needs. Yet, we found just exactly that here at Tupy’s. We all three agreed that we would definitely make this a regular stop for Mexican. If we all could speak spanish, we woud thank our server and staff in thier native language, expressing our gratitude for all they provided to us. This was definitely an experience we well never forget! Thank you, gracious, we appreciate you all, the service and the food! Until next time! :)

Food 5 Service –1 So So disappointed today, server Juan should not be waiting tables. Bad attitude, 0 customer service skills, no awarness to refills, slow & to top it off just plain looked & acted pissed off. Tried repeatedly to make things easier for him but to no avail, he just wanted to frown. Thank goodness the food was its usual awesomeness. I will be back but he will not be my server

It’s been eons since I’ve been truly impressed by a Mexican restaurant — oh yes I am a Queso, Chips and even a big Caldo de Res fan! I go at least weekly somewhere in the Austin north area but I have not experienced flavor like we had at Tupy’s in Frisco, Tx in years if ever. From the chips and salsa(no queso this time) to the servers opinions on the vast menu my dining partner with some prompting chose away from his norm and ordered West Texas Enchiladas which are Pancake style enchiladas layered w/ground taco beef, cheese & onions w/two fried eggs on top & smothered in chile con carne-sans the onions(dang)…let me tell you he loved it and I sat there and ate 1⁄3 at least– it was impossible to stop!!! All of it was deeeelish but 2 things– the seasoned ground beef and the chile con carne – //rich, dark, pure FLAVOR… and then the tortilla, cheese and fried eggs– nice soft runny yolks-it was an experience!!! I had the Chili Rellenos ***** Lightly fried poblano pepper in an egg batter, filled w/ranchero chicken or ground taco beef, topped w/chili con queso or ranchero sauce, served w/guacamole, rice & borracho beans-Meat choices Ranchero chicken or Ground taco beef, Sauce of chili con queso and ranchero and/or sour cream. I started at one end and before I knew it I had devoured it-my way was ground beef, and all the sauces. It was so lightly battered and fried and it tasted like the pepper had been smoked. It was just kicking good! The service was attentive, drinks refilled promptly and in my opinion they have the whole package. I feel compelled to mention the menu — it speaks to the Dominguez family, talks about the history of Mexican Food and offers recipes!!! And frankly if you start on on the 3 pages of offerings you are going to find some incredibly interesting dishes. I plan to find my way back to Frisco just for another experience!

Great people, great enchiladas! We chose to sit at the bar, and not wait 15 minutes for a table, although that was a very reasonable wait time, we were interested in watching some sports on their tv with our margaritas. Bartender was very welcoming, and we enjoyed the chips and salsa; though there has been a quite a bit of debate and opinion, they are both good. Maybe different, as in not as thin as some places, but very good, not too salty, and the salsa has a nice little kick to it. We got the house margarita, which was good, but I watched the bartender make some flavored ones(mango and strawberry), and I might order one of those next time, as I noticed they were handmade, and looked delicious. The Mexican Flag enchiladas. yeah, I think so. Been eating Mexican food for a long time, in a lot of places; can even make some killer ones. but Tupys’ gives me a run for my money, as theirs are very home made tasting, and they are generous with the fillings, cheese, and sauce toppings. The Flag has 3 different ones, and we loved them all. Come to Tupy’s for real Mexican food, great service, and a relaxing place to enjoy them!

Seriously, I don’t understand the other reviews! I freaking loved this place and so did my bf. When we first walked in, we were nicely greeted and sat at a table. We were brought chips and salsa. I was worried the chips would be too salty and the salsa would be watery like the other reviews claimed. Ummmmmm, the chips were not salty and the salsa was not watery whatsoever– that salsa had so much flavor and a spicy kick to it! We loved it! We both ordered the sangria and it was also delicious!!! It had this strange like carbonated sprite taste– not sure if I’m describing this correctly but we loved it! I ordered the 12in burrito with Queso sauce. and bf ordered the two cheese enchiladas. Mine was ginormous and I wish I could have eaten it all but it was so damn big and delicious! My bf loved his cheese enchiladas, he said they were cheesy and meaty just the way he liked it. I am looking forward to coming back here and ordering more yummy sangrias and tasty dinners.

My favorite Mexican food. Coldest beer in Frisco. Don’t like the Tupy taco, but their regular tacos are great. Interning thing is they put a little bit of Italian dressing on their Taco lettuce. Strange but really tasty.

Not impressed at all. My fault because it was my idea to try it. I will admit that service was great but no matter how amazing that was… it could never substitute for the food. Chips and salsa was forgettable. At Tupy’s they serve corn tortilla chips which isn’t bad but the salsa was watery and lacked flavor. BF had some chicken enchiladas and he complained it was salty. He is pretty sensitive to salt but I’m not and when I tried it for myself it was literally a salt bomb. I ordered the special Tupy’s tacos and tried one beef and one chicken with double rice. Honestly they reminded me of Jack in the Box tacos you can get for a dollar… The beef was extremely weird in texture… I couldn’t tell it was real meat because the texture was very mushy… maybe they mixed it with refried beans? If so that explains the texture but not cool they are cheating you out on meat. The chicken one was pretty good though and had flavor. The rice was nothing special either. i wasn’t happy with my meal and I felt bad that my BF paid for something I didn’t like. Would not recommend nor come back.

My wife is a teacher in Frisco and a bunch of her little kiddos rave about this place so we decided to check it out for ourselves. We ordered the smallest size of queso to try and was not too impressed with their queso. We ordered a chicken enchilada plate and the fajitas. My wife really loved her enchilada so much that she told our waitress«Muy Bueno!». It must be a good enchilada to make a white girl start speaking Spanish. She told me she would give it 5 stars. I on the other hand was not super impressed with my beef fajitas. They were very average to me and for $ 13 I would like my fajitas to be above average and for them to come with some rice. $ 1.50 extra for side of rice. I would give them three stars. I’ll be back because my wife loved it and I’ll try the famous tupys tacos that I see so many people posting about. Service was good.
