My son has gone to Beary Best for about 10 months now and I am relieved to say that I honestly don’t have any complaints! Being that this is my son’s third daycare to attend, I have never felt such a relief after dropping him off as I do with Beary Best. I can tell that the teachers love my son and all of the other kids in his class and care about their well being. They immediately hug him and ask him a personable question when he comes to class. My son also requires a lot of attention and reinforcement to stay out of trouble. In his Pre-K class, they keep the kids in three small groups throughout the day which I have noticed works great with not only my son, but the entire class. They are able to get the attention they need and they are able to better keep the kids under control. My son always acted up during free time when the entire class was running around; Beary Best doesn’t do that. Another difference I noticed in Beary Best and the other two comparable school my son went to is that I’ve never seen the teachers sitting down chatting during outside time. They are always outside playing with the kids! This is a huge plus for me! In the 10 months that my son has been enrolled in this school, he has learned how to write, read site words, general information on countries such has China, Germany, and Italy, more Spanish than I know and he is starting to pick up on math. Their curriculum is very strict but interactive. Now, for their summer program, you will need to call them for that because as my son would say, «It. Is. EPIC.»

The lunch/snack menus are reasonably healthy and included within the cost of tuition. Special activities, like splash day and puppet shows were a plus. There is a HUGE and unnecessary push for pre-K, like it’s the equivalent of applying at friggin’ West Point. Some of the teachers are beyond fantastic, some aren’t. Ms. Kim and Ms. Neeka(P1) are awesome! I’ve witnessed some of the not-so-good ones scream at the kids. A lot of lecturing and finger pointing which doesn’t really work for a 2 year-old. They seem to have a high turnover with staff. The front office staff/management are very bitchy and condescending… if not outright rude. This isn’t an awful preschool but we switched to a Montessori style.
