Solis Mammography

This facility is very warm and inviting. You’re greeted promptly and acknowledged right away. You can tell this group really goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
I had my third yearly mammogram today and it was a very quick visit. There are individual dressing rooms and lockers. The check in, patient paperwork process is completely electronic and administered via iPad. The wait in the general reception area is fast and I’ve experienced waiting no more than seven minutes max.
Upon disrobing and waiting to be called, there is another small waiting area where you sit until called by the mammo tech. The wait has been no more than ten minutes and there could be other women waiting to be called as well. It depends on how busy they are. It’s awkward and the women are flipping nervously through magazines. Some may start to tell you their life story etc…
My appointment was at 1:30 p.m. and I was in my car and down the street by 2:05 p.m. Solis offers 3D imaging for $ 99. If insurance covers the cost, you’ll be reimbursed but expected to be paid up front. The results for today’s visit were emailed by 4:00 p.m. I’ve waited no more than two business days to receive prior results. If more testing or questions arise, you’ll receive a call versus emailed results that you access through their secured site.
I can’t say enough good things about this facility. It’s definitely a cut above with respect to technology and customer service. Given the nature of the business, you’re handled with care.
Sometimes the patient reps who check you in can be a little loud. No harm intended. If you’re a private person like me, you may have to tell them to lower their voice. Beyond that, I’d recommend this Solis location to every woman I know.
