This is a chain burger joint and typically is pretty decent. The first order a few months back we got burgers, fries and shakes… well the milkshakes made us both sick… next visit just burger & fries we were fine. Maybe the crappy health standards are a Frisco/Texas thing. Not used to having any issues ever until we came here and we are from Las Vegas… with more restaurant choices than one could dream of. noticed NO dept. of health grades anywhere in sight of food establishments here. can’t wait to be gone! We will visit smashbuger in Las Vegas. never had any problems there!

This place gets 5 stars for good burgers but I took away 4 stars for super greasy fries and a filthy dining room. I walked in and it looked like chucky cheese inside. French fries, straw wrappers and napkins as far as the eye could see. I saw at least 6 tables that needed to be bussed. Someone put used cups all along the wall that divides the seating area from the line. Ewww! They were severely under staffed and no one was was available to clear the tables of wrappers & what not. The counter by the fountain drinks had soda all over it. There were no soda lids and the lemons were non existent. It was wretched. Never going back.

Went here a couple of weeks ago. Quite possibly the worst service I’ve experienced at a burger place. Tables were dirty and when I asked a server if she wouldn’t mind bussing a table for us, she was visibly annoyed, didn’t acknowledge me, didn’t even look at me, swiped the table left to right a couple of times and stormed off. Clearly a couple of the servers were upset at each other and the patrons were affected. Food took forever, the vibe wasn’t positive and altogether an unfortunate lunch experience. I was hoping the food would be great — I’ve really enjoyed Smashburger before, but the quality of food and service at this location didn’t represent what I have experienced at other SB’s.

Came in at 9:30 and girl helping was leads enthusiastic when I told her it was my 1st time and wanted to try the spinach, goat mash & cucumber. The burger was tiny and tasted ok, would go some where else.

Everyone already knows that Smashburger is a great place for a quick, tasty burger, but the staff here is what makes this location. When moving into our new place, we went in 20 minutes before closing with 5 people & made sure they were okay to still serve us(being in the food industry, I know what it’s like to work a long day and have a large group come in right when you’re ready to go home), and they happily welcomed us in and let us take our time. Friendly as can be! It was a great was to end a hard day. Props to the manager for hiring good people with great customer service skills. We will be back soon.

So disappointing! This place used to be a family favorite but within the last few months it has gone terribly downhill. Fries were stale, fried pickles were too salty to enjoy, the bathrooms were gross, toilets had been scrubbed in ages, and opened my burger to find a hair sitting on my jalapeños. This location needs some serious help quick!!!

Been here a few times and thought it was decent. Today they were serving up McDonald’s dollar menu quality food, but at 5x the price. Cold fries, burger that tasted like it was cooked 5 hours ago.

Food is fine, they always mess up with the multi grain bun. The service is continuously terrible even though it looks like they have new staff every time we come. Smash fries are amazing.

My review used to be 5 stars but after what I believe is a change in store management positions, my opinion has since changed. I came in on a Saturday night for a new Deluxe Burger, and a Smashburger combo(Sweet Potato Smashfries). I was in a rush so I ordered takeout. Usually my food takes 10 minutes at most to be prepared but it is always fresh and hot when I get it. It had been about 3 months since I had visited this exact location though. I ended up waiting for 45 minutes for my order. Turns out the Sweet Potato fries were the culprit when I asked what was taking so long. The fact that they made me fresh fries is not why I’m upset. Here is why this was a bad experience for me: 1. I was lot told upon ordering that I would have to wait such a long time if I wanted Sweet Potato fries. If someone had told me they needed to make fresh ones, I would have opted for regular fries. 2. I was not asked if I wanted my burger since it was ready before the fries. Mind I was sitting in a booth with nothing but my soda absolutely hungry. The reason I did take out in the first place was to get my food and go home faster! 3. When I complained for the bad service, I was given the option of a free shake or coupons. Since I’m lactose intolerant, I opted for the coupons. I was handed 15 Coupons for $ 2 off a chicken sandwich. Thanks, but I go to SmashBURGER for BURGERS. I will not even have an opportunity to use these coupons. 4. When I finally got in my car and was halfway home I noticed I got 3 burgers even though I ordered 2. Cool! An extra. All is right in the world again. I wish — but it was someone’s extremely personalized BBQ, Brisket, Bacon and Jalepeno sandwich that no one in my family wanted. Now I just feel bad for the person who actually ordered it and didn’t get it. I will give Smashburger another chance but not the location on Lebanon.

The burgers and chicken certainly looked smashed! Not exactly all the appealing at first, but if you prefer a thin patty burger, than this place is perfect! They also advertise using 100% angus beef. The prices are right, cheaper than most burger joints. They have an exceptional menu variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, shakes and salads. They also serve my favorite kind of french fries(rosemary, garlic & olive oil). I had the baja chicken salad and all the ingredients were fresh and largely portioned for $ 7.99. Inside is small with booth seating, and the patio is currently under construction, which doesn’t leave much to look at, but they are expanding it. Any time I can have a meal for two under $ 20 in Frisco, that’s a winner for me!

The food is fresh and the service is great! After about 10 visits, my food has always comes out hot and delicious! The cashiers are always friendly and helpful. And, I really like the buffalo fries and buffalo burger. The restaurant is a bit small and I wouldn’t recommend for a big group but there are a couple of tables in the back that can seat 8 – 10.

Fast, fresh and tasty, what more could ask for in a burger joint? Try the smashfries, they are delicious. I tried the jalapeño bbq burger, it was pretty good but a bit messy.

Its ok, but not what I look for in a burger. The taste is just not there. The patty is kind of crunchy, dry, lacks flavor and that is with cheese and bacon! The multi grain bun is good. The olive oil and rosemary are very good. Better than all the fast food chain McD, BK and Wendy’s.

I came in today with my husband to have a quick lunch and one of the managers was so rude. I think his name was Ron. The girl in the check out was very sweet and helpful. This location has been constantly disappointing me. Fries come out cold, burgers come out a bit cold. And fries come out extremely greasy. There needs to be a change in management for sure and I am not the only person who constantly complains. Whenever I have gotten to go orders, they always get them wrong. Very disappointing. Like the Dallas location WAY better.

I’ve been saying it for years, and I’ll say it again: The place is called Smashburger, not Smashburger and Fries. It’s been many moons since my last visit to this location, and today I was there with a friend for lunch. I saw a new(to me) offering of spicy buffalo fries, featuring the original fries with a dry Frank’s Buffalo coating and ranch dressing. I picked those, along with a jalapeño BBQ burger that was really calling me from the menu, in red letters, even. Upon arrival, the burger was not«big» as I had requested, but the situation was quickly remedied with a replacement. The jalapeño slices were fresh(not pickled), grilled and delicious, lending a bright and spicy note to the burger. The egg bun was fantastic as always, and the meat was big, thick and juicy. Overall, a very good burger. The fries, not so much. The promised buffalo seasoning was a very sparse sprinkle that seemed to adhere to only a quarter or less of the fries, and didn’t really pack a punch. I ended up leaving most of them there. Still, the burger was awesome. Go there for the burger.

I wish I could say we had a great experience like the other people who gave great ratings. I thought everything was«eh».we ate most of it but won’t be back. Everything was just super greasy but bland. Smash burger fries were pretty good but not worth it to go there. The restaurant was very dirty as well which sort of made it even harder to enjoy my meal. I was disappointed that they used a store bought gluten free bun. It was clearly just in their fridge. They could have at least grilled it a little… I wish I could say it was a 5 star but definitely not for us.

Our favorite burger joint in Collin County [Apr 2015]. We have tried all the competition; old and new ones and Smashburger stands out(including their other location in Plano.) Limited seating indoors and outside so on crowded Sat or Sun lunch hour the staff has to hustle to clear tables. Service was very prompt even when very busy. Be nice to crowd behind you and have your choices in mind BEFORE getting to cash register. Either pick from menu or select your own combination. Caffine-free diet Cola-Cola at fountain. I like the large diameter straws for the drinks. For something different try the SMASHFRIES, tossed with rosemary, olive oil and garlic. Their buns Classic Egg or Multi-grain make the burger very tasty. Groups should go and realize they may not all sit together. UPDATE: Jan 2016. Still a favorite burger joint. It is going to be very busy after The Star is completed in Aug 2016 nearby. That is the Dallas Cowboys and City of Frisco joint venture [stadium, practice field, etc.] next door.

Generally very good burgers and chicken, but I was a little disappointed with my visit today. We showed up today for a late lunch, well after the lunch rush. In short, the kitchen was slow, the fries were cold, and there was a trail of fries, wrappers, and other assorted debris from the front of the store to the back. Will be back, but would hope that this fast-casual burger joint will look better than an interstate McDonalds.

I want to give these guys a great review but they keep hiring teenagers who just don’t care. The Cashier that waited on me sunday, july 20th afternoon had long curly hair in his face; he kept flipping all around and kept rubbing his nose while he took my order. Is there any training for employees when they go to work here? If they do not want to work, give the job to someone who does.

Solid burger with good flavor. The egg bun is quite tasty too. The smash fries are okay but I prefer the regular fries. And I just tried the sweet potato fries and they were some of the best I have had so I think I will order those from now on. I have had the classic chicken sandwich before as well and it was pretty good too. The service was friendly and seemed genuine.
