This company is VERY slow in doing anything except signing a contract. They also billed my insurance company for work they did not do. Received an estimate for a roof in November 2015 for $ 8900+. At that time, they stated I had hail damage. Insurance claim made, adjuster shows up, sure enough, hail damage and related damage to den. Signed contract for that work plus additional work in house. Gave them the insurance check of $ 7400+ at that time(Dec 2, 2015) and Brian stated«We will get you scheduled in the next couple days». After hearing NOTHING for THIRTEENDAYS, I called and asked when do we get a roof? Brian called back that day and gave me a choice of two days, I chose Dec. 17th. Roofers show up and got with it, roof done in one day, looked good. The next day, Brian called and asked how the roof was, good job I told him, he states that he was going to invoice the insurance company. Okay was my reply, thinking he was invoicing for the roof since it had just been done. A couple days later my insurance company calls and asked about the work because they had an invoice from RR&C. I said the roof was done but not the gutters, insurance company states okay, they will pay the invoice minus the gutters and send them the invoice when the gutters were completed. On January 4th, I call Brian and asked when can we get started on the other work? I can come over this evening at 4:30 to discuss our options. He finally shows up at approx 6:30 and we discuss what needs to be done. We were going out of town on January 17th and the wife and I both told him we wanted to get started ASAP. Brian states«Give me at least a couple days» to get back to you. I asked about getting the guest bath portion started(total gut and remodel) and he said he could possibly send his guy over to get started that Friday. I was surprised when we received a large check from the insurance company on January 8th but figured I would ask Brian about this when I heard from him again(expecting his call since he said«give me a couple days») NEVER heard from him again until January 27th(!) when he left a voice mail saying he wanted to get started on our«project». At that time the wife and I both felt that he wasn’t interested in us and since we were on a tight schedule(trying to get work done to sell the house), we would fire him and take care of finding people who we could trust. I had also called the insurance company to ask about the check received and learned that it was in fact a payment for the invoice sent by RR&C. I was NOT comfortable with this as I felt it was fraudulent to invoice for work not completed and reinforced our decision to fire these guys. On January 31st, I sent a text Brian and told him we had a problem with the ridge vent on our roof, his reply was he would take care of it. On Monday, February 1st, a guy shows up at the house and starts measuring for something. I asked who he was and he stated that he was the gutter guy for Regency Roofing and Construction. I told him he wasn’t going to do the work as I was not interested in continuing with that company. He told me at that time that he didn’t really want to do the work as he hadn’t been paid for his last job, further reinforcing my decision to cancel my agreement with RR&C. I had a phone conversation with Brian on February 1st and told him of my decision to cancel our contract due to not being comfortable with him billing for work not done and for NOT communicating with us for 23 days. As you can imagine, he was not happy. The insurance company had estimated our roof replacement at $ 11,500 and Brian had accepted that figure to do the work(remember the estimate of $ 8900 in November?). Imagine my surprise when RR&C sent me an invoice for $ 12,600+ for the roof as a «settlement» to get out of the contract we had signed. We paid the difference out of pocket on February 16th just to be rid of this guy and his false promises. On February 19th I sent a text message to the«account rep» Kevin, about the roof repair. I sent another text on February 25th asking when we could expect the repair. LOOONG story short, the roof was finally repaired on Friday March 18th! In talking with the roofer on that day, he stated that it took him several weeks to paid for the roof they put on in December and he was EXTREMELY surprised when I told him that RR&C had received a check for $ 7400+ on Dec. 2nd. I realize that I am only ONE data point, but based on my experiences, I would NOT recommend this company for anything. After signing the contract, Brian never did anything he said he would do when he said he would do it. Buyer beware. We got more accomplished in 3 weeks than he did in 60 days.
