Great place to have some fun with friends! Instructor was awesome And owner is very accommodating. I booked a large party for a friends birthday party and they were able to fit some last people in at the last minute. Love the fact we can bring our own food and drinks! Planning to return for a date night :)

Super fun! The set up for the event was easy and made it so simply to set up the event for our National Charity League. It was an event where we could bring in food and drinks and make it a true party.
The ladies that walked us through our painting were helpful and encouraging to all of us. I highly recommend this for your next event. It was a blast!!!

Have been to Painting with A Twist in several different locations. I picked location based on what I wanna paint. I hope the owner takes my advice to heart because he was a real sweetheart. Our artist was a little lame. He was dull. Most of them tell stories or talk about why the do painting with a twist or what they do. He was boring. Then his assistants just sat there and kept giving him feedback about the customers, mind you, we are customers.
Also no music playing in background. It was blasting and fueled the atmosphere… then when the session started the music stopped and the energy dropped instantly. I was bored not by painting, but by the energy in the room. I don’t blame owner or anything. I just hope he can take the feedback and make some adjustments. Very important to keep the energy level up in the room!!!

Daniel was a doll. We did a bachelorette party here and it was tons of fun. Plenty of room for 10 people. Very attentive and knowledgeable.
The only thing I will say is there is no drinking water available. I wish we would have known this, then we would have brought some for the non-​alcohol drinkers in our party. But other than that it was perfect! Great paintings for total beginners or expert level artists.

This place is great! I moved from Colorado and was looking for one of these places. Tried the one in grapevine (meh) and the one in Plano (meh) but the one in Frisco is my favorite. Not only do they sketch out the more complicated designs for you (i.e. a wine glass) but they help you whenever you ask. I will be the first to admit I have no talent when it comes to painting but I enjoy having fun with friends. I took friends here for my birthday and everyone had an awesome time.
We have had various instructors all of which were nice and patient. Usually when we go, Robert is helping out and bless that poor man’s heart because I ask his help on everything and he is always nice about it.
Suck at painting? No problem
Need help on a tricky part? They can help
Guy friendly? Absolutely. I’ve brought guys and they loved it.
If you see a painting around the place that you want to do, they will work on getting that onto a calendar for you which I think is awesome of them to offer.
If I had any complaints, it would be that the last few times we have gone the lock has been broken on the women’s restroom.
If you plan on going more than once, ask them for a punch card! I take mine every time I go now.

I went to Painting With a Twist for the first time last night. We hosted my aunt’s birthday party and the staff was gracious and so helpful. They allowed us to bring food and drinks and made the painting class super fun! Some of us were worried about how well our paintings would turn out, as there were a good handful of us that are not artistically inclined. They were very reassuring and at the end of the evening, we were so proud of our masterpieces. Thank you to the staff for your kindness, helpfulness and for how much fun you made the evening for us. Robert was an excellent instructor!

UPDATE: I was contacted by Jim, the owner and he was very apologetic about our experience at Painting With A Twist, expressing concern about whether our daughter had a good time at the party. He wanted to correct the issue and offered a full refund of our party, he also said «thank you» for the review and they have instituted some major changes with their business to insure the same things don’t happen again.
I think his actions show genuine concern for reputation and good customer service repair. Thank you Jim for contacting me.

A good date night activity. The paintings are set by the day so go online to see what the project will be for a given day.
You show up, put on a smock, the paint and brushes are there, and drink while you paint (BYOA).
It is pretty difficult to mess up when painting here. The painting I did already had the basic outline pre-​drawn. The instructor will walk through each step and there are several people floating around to help.
The amazing thing to me is that each painting still looks unique based on how you mix colors, add accents, etc. I’m by no means artistic and I was proud of the work I produced.

Hosted a GNO here and enjoyed! Jim is so super sweet. He seems like the kind of person I could go fishing with on the weekend…
BYOS: all the girls bought wine. They provide cups for you & have corks for your bottles when you leave. We all have our reserved seats when we arrived, and the instructors were nice.
Laid back, fun, easy going good times.

Came here once for a birthday.
Loved the staff and the set up, they were really friendly and took very good care of the group. The step by step instructions were easy to follow. Although, my complaint is that they lack creativity in their painting choice. We had a harvest moon theme, which is kind of boring because the highlight of the painting is a big circle. I think they would attract more people with an edgier choice.

I could not get over what a crack up the instructor and helper were. Thank you so much for making my PWAT experience memorable! I’ll definitely be checking out this location again (although I usually go to the Dallas location because it’s closer). The guys that work here make you have a fun experience!

Just go. Your friends have been all like, «Dude, you should come with us» for months. They’re right, you should.
It’s like this — you show up with your bottle of wine or your 6 pack of beer or your bottle of Grey Goose + mixer or your coca cola or your chocolate milk. Don’t bring a cup — they have them there. The dude who runs the place is this super nice guy who greets you at the door and offers to open up your bottle for you and hands you an apron. He shows you where you’re supposed to sit and it’s always with your friends (just buy your tickets together online OR if you already bought your ticket and your dude-​bro has not, just have your dude-​bro call up to the place and tell them they’re with you. Boom — done.) Your canvas, paints, paintbrushes — they’re all already there just waiting for you to get your art on. Chat, drink with your friends until the guy is ready to go.
You can’t paint? BFD! The guy seriously walks you through it, step by step. Even if PHD’d in painting, you’re at the same pace as everyone else (it just means you finish your part faster and get to drink more.) And at the end, even if you think you’ve done a crappy job and it’s never going to look like the thumbnail you saw on the website, it comes together and also you’re probably a little drunk so it looks AHHHHMAZINGGGGGG (but no seriously, it will look amazing.)
The downside is only this: it is a bit too pricy to be doing all the time. $ 35 + the cost of whatever you brought to drink (and you may want to bring a snack or two also — this is a 2-​hour class) comes out to just about $ 50 for yourself, and if you’re bringing a date (DUDES — DO THIS) it could end up being about $ 100 or more. But I mean, that’s what you’d be paying for that stupid steak dinner at that incredibly boring restaurant your mom suggested anyways so it’s like, whatever.
Just do it. Just go. It’s awesome. I promise.

Like Madonna says, «express yourself»! We had a great time. While the artist du jour instructs you how to recreate the sample, you are encouraged to use creative license. It is BYOB and BYOF (Bring Your Own Food). Recommend a couple bottles of wine, at least, or a couple of six packs. They have a small cube fridge for use but I encourage you to bring a cooler to sit next to you — much more convenient and the fridge can fill up quick. Go with a small group of friends and share the experience. Now I’m thinking to start Body Painting With A Twist

P with a T is awesome! The staff was incredibly sweet and generous towards my husband and I on our recent visit. I emailed for reservations ahead of time as a fun thing to do while my husband was home visiting from Iraq and the owner, Denise, responded the next day saying that our class would be comped!
Upon arrival, the staff had already reserved seats for us toward the front and even introduced my husband with warm welcome before class. I was so touched by their generosity and these folks are genuinely really nice people who are in it for the love of art and teaching others to paint. The class was a lot of fun and very easy going and we took several breaks for snacks. The other students were also really friendly as well and even offer us homemade cookies.
I really look forward to coming back and they also made a great gift for Mother’s Day.
Note: Their location does not have a big sign in front, but its located right next to the Sears store.

My daughter returned today with a large painting of a dog that she did herself. 1.5 hours and $ 25 later, a result that lasts a lifetime. And she said she had a blast.
