I would like to start this review by saying that if you can request a hygieneist then I would highly recommend Ike. She was top notch! I was in for a procedure. That was a deep root cleaning Reccomended by another Person a few weeks prior. But I did not think it was. Something I truly needed and I explained my concerns. So Ike went beyond. What most others would have done and took the time to re-access the original diagnosis and. Said she did not see any of the plaque that They saw 2 weeks prior and that she would do a very thorough cleaning and I would be great. I was beyond happy as a mother who is paying for college. Every Penney counts right now and I can’t tell you how much more confidence this gave me in. Coming back to this Dental Office. Thank you Ike for the wonderful and kind personable service that you gave to me! If you request a person at this office I would definitely request Ike! She is. Fantastic!

Dr. Nelson and his team are great. Not only is everyone extremely professional they are all very personal. To me this makes a huge difference, as I felt like a person instead of just a patient on a assembly line. A friend had told me they have been going to him for years and I see why. If you are needing to go to the dentist try him out you will be happy!

My husband and I both had appointments back to back… they did an amazing job coordinating so one of us could be with our 4 kids and 1 of which is special needs… i would recommend this office to anyone who wants a painless dental experience!

I was squeezed in on an emergency basis last week. To make a long story short, Dr. Nelson could have very well charged me a boatload of money but instead took the blame for a 6 year old crown and is now replacing it at his expense. He said it was a possibility that he may have thinned out the old crown slightly when he put a new crown on next to the old one. This is not something I would have known, nor did he know for sure that it was his fault, yet he took the high road and was willing to take the blame and replace the crown at his expense. I know other dentists do not do that for a 6 year old crown. If you are looking for an honest dentist Dr. Nelson is truly the only one I trust and will continue to go to.

I did not have a pleasant experience with this dental office. Desk personnel dropped the ball with my follow-up appointment(didn’t have it on her schedule), then offered her apologies for my misunderstanding. Hello? I’m sure the doctor does fine work. He didn’t seem to be looking to do procedures that weren’t necessary. Front desk personnel can make all the difference sometimes. There are too many other dentists around to stay here.

My first(and last) visit to Nelson & Associates was on 12÷28÷09. I am new to the North Dallas area and selected a dentist on their staff because she was listed as an in network dentist and the services would be fully covered by my insurance company. This dentist provided excellent service, but the problem with Nelson & Associates began after my visit. When the explanation of benefits arrived, the insurance company had reduced the benefit payable by 20% for use of a non-network dentist. When I called them and provided the name of my dentist, they said that if she had been listed as the service provider then the coverage would have been 100%. However, Dr. H. Arthur Nelson was listed as service provider and he was not in network. They suggested that I have his office correct the filing. When I called Nelson & Associates and asked for the correction, they indicated that their practice was to file all charges under Dr. H. Arthur Nelson’s name, and that I owed the balance due. When I pointed out that by correcting the filing they would receive full payment, they still refused to make the correction. When I stated that they had filed falsely and possibly fraudulently, they threatened to turn the invoice over to a collection agency. Apparently they were not concerned about laws preventing immediate use of collection agencies for disputed medical charges. So, I have paid the invoice to avoid the hassles. Thankfully, no significant work had been done so it was small. But you have been warned. The ironic thing is that if they had corrected the filing, the insurance company would have paid them more than they billed to me.
