DEAD, deader and deadest. We were the only people in there and it felt creepy. We walked in and there was someone at the host station on the phone who didn’t acknowledge us. We got sat at the corner of the Hibachi table and when I moved to the middle the waiter was hesitant and said we would have to move when ‘other’ people got sat. 1st of all, we are the 1st people to arrive so we should get to chose where we want to sit at the table. 2nd of all, *newsflash*, there are no ‘other’ people. No one else came thee entire time we were; we had a 2-person show in the dungeon atmosphere. Smelled dirty. The chef was just okay but can you blame him, doing a ‘show’ for 2 lone customers in an otherwise dead-empty restaurant at lunch time?! Poor guy. Did I mention how dead it was?

My family has eaten here a few times and order sushi to go frequently just because it’s close to home. If you’ve never been to another hibachi grill before, I wouldn’t recommend this place for your first experience. This location is lacking in their entertainment area in my opinion. Food is sub par. My main issue is that this location is extremely dirty from the moment you walk in. I don’t know if they ever vacuum the entry way rug because it’s filthy every day when they open. Hostess area has paint missing all over the walls accompanied by spider webs. The kicker is, try finding a chair where the vinyl seat is not completely tore up. Bottom line,(in my opinion) food ok, show ok, restaurant is in dire need of a cleaning and new furniture. Not a place to entertain new guests.

Fun! I haven’t been to a hibachi place since I was a kid, so this was exciting. And I was very pleased to find out they had swordfish. Of course it was absolutely delicious and a giant portion. Great show, and the cook was fun and interactive. I was a little hesitant before I came based on the Unilocal reviews, but I’m glad I did. It was worth the visit — the atmosphere was great, the show was great. The salad beforehand was good and I loved the(peanut?) dressing. The fried rice was fantastic, but I do think it’s an extra charge versus if you get the steamed rice. It wasn’t too salty or anything. It also included shrimp in all the hibachi meals, so probably best to get something other than shrimp for your meal.

Not bad, not great. The«show» one expects while a meal of this type was being prepared was virtually nonexistent. We ordered steak and chicken hibachi special. The steak was good, very tender. The chicken was overlooked and almost crunchy. All the food was under seasoned. I usually pour one of the side sauces over my meal, but both sauces in a connecting plate/bowl combo made that impossible. There was no dessert offered, not sure if it is even a menu option. You receive more value from your dollar at Benihana or Kobe in Addison.

My kids love this place, as they tend to like simple food, and also like the ‘fun’ of hibachi. However, I have always struggled paying over $ 100 for a meal for a family of four, but the convenient location and kids enjoyment has lead us to return every few months. The hibachi chefs are always nice, and give the kids special attention. There is rarely a wait when we go too, which is nice. Service outside of the hibachi chef tends to be a little shaky though. Over the weekend we all got a meal plus decided to try an extra order of noodles. We were never going to eat all that food, but for $ 7 extra, what the hell. When we got the bill, they added another $ 6 because we shared the noodles. The meal was fine(read: average) as normal, but moving my $ 105 bill to $ 111 because we shared an extra order of noodles seemed odd. I asked the server if that was intended, she said yes and wouldn’t budge. Penny wise, pound foolish. I won’t be going back.

It is very reasonably price for hibachi and sushi. Nothing special but not terrible. We’ve. Walked in at closing and were served as if it was opening. I really enjoy this place.

No big frills here. Don’t bother ordering mixed drinks because there is no alcohol in them. Overpriced and won’t be back.

This experience at Kobe was definitely our last. Let’s start with the food! Our sushi was definitely not very fresh and the appearance of some pieces left us questioning whether to eat it at all. We didn’t! We felt the same way with the ginger and wasabi. The wasabi was tasteless(I thought that was impossible) and the ginger had dried edges and varied in color. As for our main meal, it was definitely below average. My chicken was overcooked to the point I didn’t even eat it. The steak was flavorless and overcooked as well. This was the case for 6 out of 7 of us at the table. We also found it quite alarming that when asked what the best meat was they said NY strip. I guess he wasn’t aware filet mignon and Kobe steak were on the menu. As for the service, it was worse than the food. The waitress was rude, abrupt and scarce. I asked 4 times for a water with my chardonnay and she never brought it. I had to go to the bar to get my water, as well as the refills for the table. She stopped me on one trip to asked what I needed and when I told her my water and refills she argued back with me that she already brought it. I explained she brought one child a refill, but I had asked 4 times for a water and still haven’t received it, nor had anyone else at the table. I got that water from her right before the check. Myself and my son would take turns going to the bar for our drinks. Our sushi(4 rolls) was received after the hibachi food was cooked and served. One child with allergies asked for fried rice with no egg. It had to be cooked in the back and brought out. It was received with egg. Hello allergy! When we pointed it out to her she started yelling at the hibachi cook. They loudly exchanged words(we didn’t understand their language) and she took the plate back. The hibachi chef, while very nice, spoke very little English, served the food to the wrong plates and was responsible for overcooking the food. Some of his«showstopper» skills turned into epic fails, but he was not rude. We can chalk that up to being a newly hired. All that for $ 225!!! Eek! Me thinks not!

We came in for a late dinner, an hour before closing and it was pretty much empty. We both had hibachi(shrimp/scallops and steak/scallops). The portions of scallops were very generous. The food was pretty good, atmosphere could be a little better. We could tell the hibachi chef really knew what he was doing. I wish I had asked for his name, because I think the chef makes a world of difference on our experience there. We would come back here again. Ahi Tower — wasn’t good at all. Not sure if it was just the person who made it today, but it was the worst I’ve ever had. It was very bland and the sushi wasn’t cold.

First time and potentially last time here. Nothing went wrong, just if you want to spend $ 100 for a family dinner, so many better options. Let’s start with the drinks; the mixed drinks my table had tasted of no alcohol. My Tokyo iced tea tastes like coke, no sour or any alcohol taste. The food was… meh. Again it wasn’t bad. the chicken was chickeny(slightly overdone and funnier), the steak was beefy, if anything the shrimp was the best part of the meal. I guess when you cook everything in margarine/butter and lots of soy sauce, it all tastes the same. It wasn’t cheap(hibachi is an experience after all), wasn’t memorable, and not an evening i would repeat. Take your hard earned $ elsewhere.

We have been here several times in the hopes that each time would be better. Not so much. The food and service are OK at best but the restaurant is very dirty. I do not think the restroom walls have ever been cleaned. I don’t know if saying anything to the staff would make a difference as it might be the culture but we will not be back until we see better reviews.

I have been here probably 5 times now. I hate asian food but love this place. I can only speek for the teriyaki chicken and fried rice. I love their’s. The wife loves this place and so do the kids. One time I am going to try the kobe beef and review it. Overall great place. Cooks are always fun to watch.

I am Kobe Steak &Sushi 5 stars for one reason… Service. Maybe we lucked out but we got the best server ever. First we arrived at 8:30 pm. I was scared it’d be a crap shoot but I really wanted to try to Kobe steak. I have been a steak eater for a very long time and couple years back I got on to the Japanese beef bandwagon. I tried ukiakashi steak and fell head over heels. A buddy claimed Kobe is where it’s at, so went to his place and love every bite. So I found a steakhouse near meat that claims to serve Kobe. I insisted to my girlfriend to get the filet and I would do the pepsi challenge. I was blown away with both cuts. I had both my boys with me and trust me they are a handful. Our waitress brought them the«cheater» chopsticks and kept there lemonade topped off all night. I had read a couple if reviews regarding the portion size of sushi so, me and the girlfriend ordered 3 rolls to start the ball rolling. They were delicious but I can say they were a bit small. The check came and I had some sticker shock $ 150 bit I was quickly reminded of the value I was given when our wonderful waitress boxed all of our take home lickity split. She was awesome and the boys want to go back for the very entertaining cook and the relentless and courteous service. Please try this place plus kids eat free on the weekends!

I made reservations for a party of 7. We got seated an hour after our reservation time. Even after being seated we still waited 20 minutes at the table before we could get our drinks order in and a Chef. The Chef was funny and made tricks to enlighten the night. The food was okay. The appetizers(sushi) never came nor did the drink refills. Our waiter was horrible. We complained to the manager and even asked her if she could please help us get drink refills, she did not apologize nor got the drinks. I don’t even think she spoke English! Needless to say, I will not be returning and I recommend you don’t waste your money for that type of service.

We love it here. My wife and kids are regulars about once a month. Always very good and serve lots if food. Always enough to take home for tomorrow’s lunch. The sushi is ok. Not their focus so not great but good. The show is as good as the food. We always leave relaxed and well fed.

This place was as good as the reviews led me to believe! Our server was great(even if he kept dropping things that he was flipping around, lol, as well as some food here and there) and very attentive. On a Saturday night, we were seated right away and only had to wait about 15 min to start being served food, since our hibachi table was already full. The food quality was like what you get at most hibachi restaurants, although our server was a little heavy handed with the salt. I didn’t love the teriyaki sauce because I prefer my sauce a little sweeter, but that’s personal preference, and overall the food was still great. This was the first hibachi grill that cooked the meat before the vegetables. Surprisingly, this was a nice change since it meant being able to get hot vegetables soon after being served the meat, so I was able to enjoy all my food together instead of eating all my vegetables then being served my meat 10 minutes later. I would def come back again!

We came here on a Wednesday during the lunch hour so there were only the 3 of us and 2 other people there. The chef put on an amazing show. We all ordered hibachi so I can’t answer for the sushi there. I ordered the Swordfish, which tasted good, but had a little bit to much lemon on it. My husband and mom both ordered the hibachi chicken and both found the chicken very good. I heard the other couple at the table commented that their steak and calamari was very good. I would definitely recommend the fried rice.

I’m starting to look like one of those Unilocalers who only posts 5 star reviews but I swear this was a surprise. I had read all the Unilocal reviews and was expecting to have OK food and OK time. I was pleasantly surprised! If you like hibachi, then you will like Kobe. Of course it is a lot of fun because of the atmosphere, but the food is great too. I ordered filet & shrimp combo, it came with onion soup & salad as appetizer. Just a tip there fried rice is extra. Too bad they don’t have brown rice for us healthy nuts. The filet was so tender and the show was entertaining! Soo… Definitely come here for the food.
