Hertz Rent A Car

I needed to switch vehicles because the trunk would not lock. Even though the vehicle was rented at another location the young man was very helpful. In a driving snow storm we were helped into a replacement vehicle and on our way. I found this location to be very helpful under terrible weather conditions. helps others learn about great local businesses.

Bad experience just like everyone else is saying on here but mine was not as much with the location in Frisco as it was with Hertz as a company. They show you a discounted price for things online just so you will click that button and place the reservation. What they don’t tell you is that there is a $ 200.00 deposit. When I asked the gentleman at the Frisco location why that was not clearly stated online and he said it’s in the fine print. They also told me they could not cancel my reservation because it was made online. So I called the 1800 number and cancelled it. Only after I asked if there was a fee for cancelling did the lady tell me there was a $ 50.00 fee. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she said she would direct me to the group that can explain the fee. I sat listening to hold music for about two min. and then the line went dead. I sent an email on 1÷14÷2016 letting them know my experience and they have yet to respond and they took the money out of my account for the rental I never got. I feel like I was totally tricked. I will never use Hertz again and I will never recommend Hertz to anyone. So disappointed.

Basically called for a car and the guy on the phone answers somewhat slack-​jawed, «We aren’t takin reservations if you want to go one way.» I didn’t get to the dates or how far or for how long or that I’d pay for one way — just no. Kind of pathetic — even a kind sorry and an explanation would have sufficed. Called Enterprise — they happily picked me up, charged me for one way, and now we happily use them.

I found that they were not very helpful. The staff was unapologetic for services they charged for which my reservation promised for free. I found the car they provided to be adequate, and on check out everything was smooth and easy, so it was a mixed experience. Stating more on the website about acceptible payment and services available according to location would have cleared up all issues before they started… would likely have been a five star experience if we had not had to run around a bit extra before we left.

This Hertz location is absolutely terrible, do yourself a favor and go to the Enterprise up the street.
We were getting an insurance rental after being rear-​ended and instead of billing the insurance company they billed me, totally screwed up my credit. We spoke with the manager, Ryan, and he was thoroughly unhelpful and kept harping on the fact that they use separate systems for individuals and insurance companies. Great, you use two systems, doesn’t change the fact that you screwed up and used the wrong system and screwed me. Don’t use Hertz, Enterprise is better than Hertz, Hertz is awful. I wish there was a way that I could select a negative number of stars.

I would give 0 stars if I could! They are rude and mean! They are liars! Even when I asked to talk to the manager he was a jerk and accused me of being a liar. I couldn’t believe how terrible the customer service was. I wanted to cry they were that mean to me there. Drive to silverhorne the next town up and rent from enterprise. Worst place ever. Ryan was a liar and his manager whatever his name was was a complete jerk.

Terrible customer service and the manager there only cares about the revenue and even at the expense of loyal customers.
I went there to pick up a PREMIUM reservation I made over the phone and was downgraded to a full size because I wasn’t willing to pay $ 75 EXTRA a day for a Subaru Legacy which is also a PREMIUM car. The reason was because they can make up to $ 200 a day for that car from other customers so they didn’t want to give it to me.
I’ve spent over $ 10K with hertz over the past couple years and it is ridiculous that they couldn’t honor my reservation because they could make MORE money from someone else. So the only thing they could do is downgrade me into a full-​size Nissan Altima that was completely buried in snow.
I would avoid renting at this place because of the reasons above but also because they are under staffed and they will put you on hold if you call and never answer back.
