FTX Performance Training and First Street CrossFit (FSCF) we promote functionality and modernization in exercise.
Functional fitness may be among the latest buzzwords in gyms these days, but for good reason. It’s about training your body to handle real-life situations. Isolating muscle groups and confining our joints and their movements to that of a machine does not teach our muscles to work together synergistically. The importance of functional exercise is integration. It’s about teaching all the muscles to work together rather than isolating them to work independently. At FTX and FSCF our programming for our personal clients and for our group classes involves functional training and core to extremity training which we believe go hand in hand.
