Called for an appointment and was told by answering service first available was 24 days; next available was 45 days. I was transferred to the local office(I intended to pick up my medical records) and got an answering machine. Message gave limited operating hours, i.e. 2 – 5 p.m. on Monday. The message said a telephone call would be returned in up to «48 hours.» Because the office is only 2 – 3 minutes away and(surprisingly) open all day, I took a quick drive. Waiting room was empty. The person at the desk(receptionist?) asked what I needed.(Where was she 2 – 3 minutes earlier?) I requested my medical records. She offered to do so for $ 35. I thought she was joking. She stated the $ 35 fee was the«rules.» I asked who made the«rules.» The doctor. If my next dermatologist requests the records, I was told they would be sent free. Hmm. Let me summarize. I can’t get an appointment for three weeks minimum and elect to switch to another dermatologist. I can leave a message to retrieve my medical records, but it might take up to 48 hours to get a return telephone call. Because I’m the patient, I would be charged $ 35 out of my pocket for my medical records. However, a doctor would get the records at no charge. Unprofessional and very frustrating.

I just moved here to Frisco and am clueless on which dermatologist to go to. One thing is for certain, this is not the place. Horrible phone skills and attitude as well. When I just asked simple questions they acted as if I was inconveniencing them. maybe their doctors are good but as far as first impressions go not worth my time to pursue any further with these folks
