Camden Panther Creek

So extremely over priced! The pool is literally always closed. If it’s sunny out, it’s closed. The front office is either never open but when it is, they never answer the phone. The one girl in the front office wears such low cut shirts. it’s so inappropriate, I went to sign the lease with my father and she was practically flashing him bending over the desk for long periods. The maintenance is quick and responsive, the apartments are quiet but the drive to get to these apartments is definitely not worth the money. They price the apartments like it’s in a good location… not in the middle of no where. I can’t wait to move out.

So far so good! Upsides: dog waste stations all around, came with a washer and dryer, and a good maintenance team. The downsides are a $ 30 valet trash service you can’t opt out of and the lack of parking spaces. While I don’t mind the trek back to my apartment, I do wish there was more lighting across the area as it’s very dark and it makes me feel a little unsafe. Other than that, I am quite happy I ended up here! This community is quiet and well kept.

There are plenty of better options in Frisco. This place is a complete rip off. Don’t waste your time with a Camden property all the care about is robbing your bank account with their high rates and excessive fees. Go anywhere else but a Camden property.

I once gave this place 5 stars but today is a new day. I have officially given up on this place. As soon as we can afford to break our lease, we will. I will be calling corporate as soon as they open and speaking with them also. They have yet to help with anything, clearly showing that residents are not important once you sign your name on the dotted line.

I love living here and had no plans to move. I’d probably give this place 4 or 4.5 stars, but since the other review was randomly terrible I’ll go with 5.
The Good
— I have lived here 3 years and a few months
— I’ll be relocating for work, and have selected another Camden property because of my positive experience here
— Solid construction; all of the fixtures/​walls/​paint/​etc. in my apartment are still in the condition they were when I moved in – it almost still looks brand new
— The maintenance staff is great. You submit requests online and they have always fixed my issues within a day
— The grounds are always in top shape. They replant everything once or twice a year, and paint something major yearly. One year they retiled the entire pool; one year they painted all guard railings and fences; this year they painted the entire complex a darker color to not show dust as much
— Dog crap is picked up every morning… I walk through grass to get to my car most days and have not once stepped in anything in the 3 years I’ve been here
— The area near the complex in Frisco has grown significantly. Lots of retail have opened up (Walmart, Petsmart, CostCo, Home Depot, Chickfila, Raising Canes, etc.) since I moved here which is convenient. It’s still quite up here though since all of that is a few miles down the road. The road leading to Panther Creek Parkway has also been converted to a full six lanes since I moved in
— The leasing center staff are always very nice and a pleasure to work with
— The pool/​spa are awesome, and the fitness center is a pretty good size
— The neighborhood near the complex is very clean and friendly… I assume it’s pretty safe too. I walk my dog and/​or run daily, as do quite a few folks.
The Bad
— Parking is TERRIBLE. Absolutely terrible. I recommend getting a garage or covered spot if you can afford it. I haven’t and have to walk across the complex to my car most days
— My car was towed for parking in the leasing center. I parked there due to my gate key not working and didn’t move it until the next evening because I work from home. Since they just assumed I was being a jerk, they towed my car. I’m still irked about the entire thing… the towing company was far away and it caused major disruptions to my schedule, but in the end they covered some of the costs due to error
— The valet trash leaves a mess. Even though they occasionally pressure wash the pavement, there are stains and it smells bad at night when everyone has their trash out in the halls. You also pay a fee for this service. They also don’t always take every trash bag, refuse to pick up anything that doesn’t fit in the small trash can, and have left notes meant for my neighbor on my door. I understand that picking up all the trash and walking up/​down the stairs is a tough job… but I’m forced to pay for it so I wish it was better
— My neighbors have changed 3 – 5 times since I moved in… some were super noisy and not so clean (maybe that’s why they moved so quickly??). Most residents I meet are friendly and low key, but for some reason my next door neighbors have been rough

Awful experience! The apartments are very nice from the outside and the people are very nice when you first go to look at the apartment complex but after that the service is horrible!
1) No one answers the phone at the rental office!
2) I have a dog and I pay a monthly pet fee, and I pick up after my dog. But there are unfortunately plenty of people here that don’t pick up after there pets and the maintanance/​grounds keeper does not do a very good job cleaning things up. I’m always trying to avoid stepping on dog feces when I’m walking my dog!
3) We just had a bad ice storm and the rental office made no attempt to clean up the ice, or put any salt/​sand. Its been 5 days since the storm and the roads in the complex are still icy!
4) I set up a automatic payment of my rent on THEIR website when I moved in. Apparently I set an end date of 1 year for the automatic payment. I didn’t realize this. And I didn’t get any notice of the automatic payment ending. Today when I got home there was a letter of notice to vacate on my door! Saying I have 4 days to vacate my apartment because I haven’t paid this months rent! Crazy! I got no other warning from them of the non-​payment before this!
So glad I’m moving out of here next month! I pay too much rent each month to put up with this nonsense!
