I was there on Friday May 6^th 2011. The car-​salesmen who helped me was Jason. Who has to be one of the most shadiest salesmen I dealt with ever! (ironic he mentioned he used to be a general-​manager for Denny Hecker) Long story short I was about to buy a 2005 Impala with a $ 1000 down, for $ 248 a month this was a bit out of my price range (I wanted $ 200 a month) but I needed a car badly. Due to me being in a car accident a couple years ago, I was considered «high risk». So my car insurance wanted $ 200 a month. I couldn’t afford a car payment of $ 248 and car insurance of $ 200 a month on top of that. I told Jason this, and that I would have to come back when I had more funds to put down. He refused to give me my $ 1000 back and gave me some lame excuse that «only the check writer is authorized, to give money back» when Brandon (the other sales-​guy) took my money so fast, you would have thought he was sprinting for the Olympics!
The next day I had to drive 32 miles from St Paul to Fridley before work to get back what I should have got back the day before! I get to the place, and Jason tells me that the «Check writer”(owner) wasn’t there and that he wasn’t authorized to give me my money back. I told him «I gave you guys cash so why not give me my cash back, so your saying you can take my money and not give it back?» and he started spewing some bullsworth about attorney generals, courts and being sued, and that they absolutely needed to give me a check, to put it on record (when they took my cash off record). The guy must have thought I was born yesterday, I’ve been a salesmen for 10 years and I knew he was stalling. I remained calm and told him that I want my money back. He then tells me he texted the owner and continued to stall and ask me «why do you need the money back so fast? you going to another dealership? why not go to work, and we will mail you the check and you’ll get it by Tuesday?» I replied back saying «I’m not leaving until I get my money», at this point I knew I was being scammed! Jason then made me go wait in the lobby so he could call his «check writer».
At that point I contemplated calling the police. 5 minutes later, his assistant Brandon came and said «its your lucky day, I guess the manager came early and wrote a check, we just couldn’t find it» with a lying smile on his face. I grabbed the check and went straight to the bank. Luckily it cleared. I will never go to that place again, Jason is a poor excuse for a salesmen, very dishonest and shady (what do you expect from a former Denny Hecker apprentice?). The fact that I had to miss an hours work on top of that go back the next day with gas being $ 4.00, just to get whats rightfully mine back, is absurd, these guys are shady stay away from them!

Here’s a trashy used car dealership to avoid. A lot of cars were damaged, they even tried to sell me a car that still had glass shards inside! Apparently someone shot at it the other day and shattered the driver’s side window. They explained how to clean it out if I wanted it. They only had 1 decent car and then refused to negotiate and immediately got angry that I brought it up at all. They’re still in business by selling cars with problems and getting people with bad credit, bad loans.
