This aquatic B&B provides the perfect getaway for a trip to Friday Harbor. It is conveniently located right off the ferry terminal and steps away from dining locales and bars. The family who runs the B&B is extremely friendly, accommodating and sweet. We had french toast, berries and sausage for breakfast as we awaited our ferry for the next leg of our adventure. We stayed in the Aft cabin and hardly knew we were on a boat. The boat has a table and chairs on deck which is ideal for spending the evening sipping on local beer or wine! This is also a much more affordable option than others in Friday Harbor – a must do!

We had the pleasure of spending 4 nights on board the Slow Season in the forward stateroom and it was magical. It made our stay in Friday Harbor all the more special to be on board such a beautiful and comfortable boat. The bed was very comfortable and the salon was a great place to relax. Libby made a sumptuous breakfast each morning and we had every convenience. Her French toast with vanilla sauce was out of this world. Laura and Eric are wonderful hosts and go out of their way to please you. We hope to be back soon. One caution I would mention is that you have to be able to navigate steep steps as is normal in a boat. We will be reliving our wonderful memories for a long time.

If you’re looking for a unique and relaxing weekend getaway, look no further: Wharfside B&B delivers. This is a real boat, moored permanently to a dock right in the middle of the harbor. Everything is boat-sized, so if you’re very tall you’ll be ducking your head often. But don’t let that worry you: this is a family business and the owners go out of their way to ensure that you have a great time. You’ll feel the stress melt away once you’re aboard, and the from-scratch breakfasts, served on deck in good weather, are delicious(thanks, Libby!)…and you’ll quickly feel like a local as you watch the harbor wake up around you.

My husband surprised me by booking two nights at the Wharfside B&B in Friday Harbor. I was not sure what to expect and I was delightfully surprised by a wonderful experience! Laura owns and runs the B&B and she is so kind and an amazing cook! She cooked us two of the best, most delicious breakfasts I have ever eaten. Her berry stuffed pancakes with her grandmother’s special cream syrup is absolutely delicious! My husband and I highly recommend a couple of nights on the boat. It’s an adventure and out if the ordinary. Laura is a great hostess and you will have a memory that will last a lifetime.

We really enjoyed our stay on «Slow Season«. It was a great experience to spend a night right in a marina. The couple who own the boat are very concerned with your comfort. They were a pleasure to talk to and we enjoyed their company very much. I will caution that this is a real boat from an earlier time so if you are tall you will spend your cabin time laying down or very bent over as it is tight and there isn’t any ceiling height in the sleeping quarters. If you go be sure to stop and see the resident otter who hangs out by the seafood market at the front of the dock. If you look down off the side of the dock you can see and touch the anenome attached to the wall but keep an eye on the jellies.
