Mimi Wagner grew up on Friday Harbor, attending kindergarten through high school on San Juan Island. She graduated from law school in 2000, and returned to Friday Harbor in 2005 after a judicial clerkship and practicing with a highly regarded (AV-​rated) law firm in Denver, Colorado. She joined Bill Weissinger at the firm in 2005.

Bill Weissinger has practiced law since 1982. He worked in the Boston, Massachusetts area for 8 years, first with a prestigious law firm, and then as in-​house counsel to a large diversified public company. Bill opened his law practice on San Juan Island in 1990.

In April, 2015, Mimi and Bill were joined by attorney James (Jamie) Grifo. Jamie graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2011. In July, 2015, Mimi purchased the firm from Bill, who moved to an «of counsel» role in the firm in which he works about two days per week.

Mimi joined the firm in 2005, coming from the highly regarded (AV-​rated) law firm of Montgomery, Kolodny, Amatuzio & Dusbabek, L.L.P. in Denver. She tried cases for the Montgomery, Kolodny law firm in Colorado state courts and worked on litigation before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the Environmental Protection Agency, Region 8. Mimi was a member of the Thompson G. Marsh American Inn of Court in Denver. Her experience includes civil litigation, such as commercial litigation and environmental litigation, as well as real estate, real estate related litigation, estate planning, and related areas. She also worked on the Colorado Bar Association’s Estate Planning Handbook and forms book.
