Wagner & Jones LLP was founded in 1996 and quickly became one of central California’s most prestigious law firms. The firm represents individuals in severe and catastrophic personal injury cases and in a variety of types of employment cases. The success of the firm has been based upon achieving significant financial recoveries for injured individuals and those individuals who have been discriminated against or harassed in the workplace. The firm is dedicated to achieving the desired goals of its clients through its tough, rigorous, and ethical litigation practices. While most cases are resolved through settlements that meet the client’s desired goals, those that are not are brought to trial, most often with significant verdicts in favor of its client.
History
Established in 1996.
Wagner & Jones LLP was the first law firm to successfully sue a reality TV show and win a verdict at trial. The case, Zelnick v. Paxson Communications Corp. (Candid Camera), was tried in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. The trial was featured on the front page of the New York Times and was aired on Court TV. The case remained a Court TV favorite and was a consistent rerun.

Business Owner
Nicholas «Butch» Wagner is a prominent trial attorney who has been practicing personal injury law for 25 years and employment law for over 20 years. He has achieved multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts in many employment and personal injury cases. Mr. Wagner’s is a 1980 graduate of St. Xavier University where he was the class Valedictorian. He is a 1983 graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School.
Mr. Wagner moved to Fresno, California from his home town of Chicago in 1983. Mr. Wagner is licensed to practice in all Courts of the State of California and all Federal Courts and has been so licensed from 1983 to the present. He also became licensed to practice in the United States Court of claims in 1990.
Mr. Wagner has argued before the California Supreme Court and has also given testimony as an expert witness before the California State Assembly on employment law issues.
