The only thing painful I found about being with Dr. Jack, is she stopped taking my insurance and I had to find another dentist.
She doesn’t over book.
She doesn’t try to sell you services or procedures you don’t need.
Wonderful dentist.
If she takes your insurance go. You won’t regret it.

They are amazing here. I’ll admit I don’t have a lot of experience with different dentists, but I had to find a new one because I’m on my school’s insurance, and used Unilocal to find this place. I’m so glad I did! Dr. Downing no longer works there, but Dr. Jack is so nice. I’ve only been there twice so far, but both times have been great. They got me in quick and didn’t waste my time. Sandy cleaned my teeth and she is extremely friendly. She’s very easy to talk to, and while there are occasional «I can’t reply because your hand is in my mouth» moments, it’s okay because she makes you feel really comfortable. I definitely recommend going here if you’re looking for a new dentist.

New to Fresno. I found my go-​to dentist here. The best thing about this office is the staff feels entirely trustworthy.
A while ago I went to get a routine check-​up done at a local dentist. They took my x-​rays and did a brief look at my teeth and said I was going to need a bunch of work (multiple fillings and «deep cleaning» in essentially my entire mouth) and that they’d have to reschedule me. They didn’t even bother doing a basic cleaning. I didn’t go through with it and decided to get a second opinion.
The staff here is uniformly professional. My appointment started right when it was scheduled. Linda, the dental hygienist, was wonderful, as was Dr. Jack. Both of them explained everything they were doing and what NEEDED to be done, as opposed to what might theoretically be possible. They said I didn’t even have cavities, much less that I needed fillings, and all I needed was a more thorough than normal cleaning, which they did on the spot.

I recently changed over to Dr. Jack now that Dr. Downing has retired. I have been a patient here for over 15 years. Dr. Jack and staff explain all procedures with clear explanations so there are no surprises or doubts. Now my children are also patients and enjoy coming here. Have never had a negative experience here.

This is a review for Dr. Jack Berglund as she provided for my care. Everyone here is super friendly and professional; they make you feel comfortable and know you by name. If you’re a little anxious about dental care, this office seems like they would be great at holding your hand and making you feel at ease. The quality of care is also excellent – no wait, quick, and detailed. Can’t rave about this office enough!

Just finished my first appointment with this office, had x-​rays, an initial exam and cleaning. It was great! I’m usually scared of going to the dentist, and they made it not so scary :) I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a dentist to come here– I’ll be back for all of my future work!

Dr. Downing has been my dentist for as long as I can remember, and Sandy has been my dental hygienist for the same length. I have never had less than a positive experience here, and the staff is very friendly. Also, the staff is very timely. I’ve never had to wait for an appointment. I would highly recommend this dental office to anybody looking for one.

This fresno dentist and his practice are excellent. This was my first time here and I was very impressed.
I showed up on the dot and I was sitting in dentist chair 10 minutes later.

Love them! Too many dental offices these days try to pad charges and run up the bill. Not here. Good old fashioned honest dental office that knows what they are doing.

professional, top of the line equipment and an excellent amount of experience make this the BEST dds in Fresno, hands down! I’ve been going here since 2000 & they’ve never failed to do a perfect job. After I didn’t have insurance, I still would only trust Downing & Jack to work on my teeth. My recent tooth extraction may have left me one tooth less, but it didn’t completely void my account. I recommend anyone in need of any dental work to come here.

I’ve been going here ever since we moved to Fresno. The staff is nice, Dr. Downing is nice, there really has never been a downside in 14 years!
Don’t think that I haven’t been exposed to another dentist — I have accompanied friends & family on their trips to the dentist and none of them have come close to the professionalism as the staff here. I’ve witnessed unpleasant things at other offices that I’ve never seen at Dr. Downing’s.
