Arrived early for a 9:30 appointment but wasn’t see till after 10:00. Dr Taylor was kind and knowledgeable and knew right away what my problem was and suggested a reasonable treatment. The staff was extremely friendly and scheduled my follow up for a month later with my desired date and time. I’m super excited to see what my results will be in a month.

I haven’t been to Dr. Taylor yet which may seem odd but I felt compelled to recognize his office staff as they are a direct reflection of him. The staff is personal, caring, friendly and yet very professional. I look forward to meeting him at my December appointment. Thank you Cheryl in the office for providing great service. I didn’t think there were many offices left that were focused on true patient care and service! You proved that there are! I can only imagine that the tone you set comes from his commitment to serving patients.

This review is not actually about Dr. Taylor, who was fine in my experience. This review is about his staff. My husband has an infectious skin disease which requires regular dermatologist care. Dermatologists have saved his life. One morning he woke up with what he thought was a breakout of the disease. He called Taylor’s office, who was treating him at the time. Taylor was unavailable, so he talked to the nurse practitioner. In our view the nurse practitioner had issues understanding the problem, and is most likely not competent. She was unable to understand the medication that my husband was taking and the dosage. She also randomly accused him of canceling an appointment about six months ago(the relevance of this accusation is impossible to identify). She dismissed him and told him to just go see a general practitioner or go to a emergency room. We explained to the nurse several times that we have been through this before, and that general practitioner would not be able to recognize the issue. It is a somewhat rare condition and requires a specialist. And we explained that we would like to avoid the hassle and expense of the emergency room if we were not sure it was indeed an emergency. The nurse did not seem to care, and hung up on me. Outraged, and concerned that this woman was in charge of patient care, I called back and asked to speak with the office manager. In my opinion this woman was even more confused and incompetent. She seemed to not understand how phones worked, and asked me how it was possible that she was talking to me right now if the nurse had hung up on me(I called back… obviously!?) I told the office manager that I had concerns about the nurse practitioner’s ability to provide competent and sympathetic patient care but the office manager did not seem to care either. I asked for the name of the nurse practitioner so I could check if any complaints had been filed against her but the office manager refused to give her name, and then hung up on me. It is more than irresponsible to refuse to give out the name of your caregivers, it is SCARY. Does this nurse have such a bad history of patient care that the office does not even want their own patients to know her name and find out about what’s she’s done? Needless to say, we have found another dermatologist with a more professional, caring staff and transparent office practices.

Dr. Taylor has been our dermatologist for three generations. Well, actually it was his father who started it all! My mother and I were patients of the senior Dr. Taylor over 50 years ago. My daughter and husband started visiting the younger Dr. Taylor about 25 years ago. I too have been his patient. He is an excellent physician and the office is very professional. I guess my question would be: is one of his children going into the business?

Absolutely the BEST Dermotologist in Fresno! I love Dr. Taylor! I’ve been going to him for several years now for all my skin problems haha. He is super friendly very good at what he does. Its a little hard to get an appointment if you are a new patient, but he’s worth it. The office staff is so nice and funny too!
