Regency Property Management

I honestly feel scammed by this company.
Our experience started out fine. Moved in, all was good.
At some point, our property manager changed (never let us know that), and in our 1.5 years there, maybe had 3 or 4 small maintenance issues (think garbage disposal), all of which took over a week to get a response and/​or get it taken care of. I wasn’t really pleased with our new agent (I will not name names for now).
We got a notice that the owners «had other plans for the house» early this fall. Kinda sucked, but whatever. We found a place and actually moved out 30 days earlier than we had to.
My husband and I also moved out a full week before the end of our month was up so we had a chance to really clean the house. We honestly both spent probably 20 hours cleaning as best as we could. We had our walk through, no major issues or any charges were noted.
From here, it is kind of a long mess. I don’t want this review to be TOO long, but basically our agent made it seem like we would be getting our statement and deposit within a week or so of moving out, then I didn’t actually receive it until 2 days after the 21 days (the legal amount of time they have to give you your deposit) after we moved out. And it was just a «good faith estimate» that included a $ 300 cleaning bill… Again, we cleaned VERY well. My dad is a real estate agent and said that houses of similar size in Orange County get cleaned for $ 250 at most, and they are actually filthy to begin with.
I wasn’t happy with it, but she said that it was just an estimate and I should receive the final statement with receipt of the cleaning and any potential remaining money within 2 weeks because the services had not been completed… Well, one thing about that… 8 days after we moved out, I drove by on the way to an old neighbors’ house and saw 2 cars with out of state license plates on them in the driveway and they already had holiday decorations on the door/​patio… so obviously people were already living in there… Our walk through was 3 days after we moved out, so that means that they had to have cleaned the house in that 5 day window, and at this point we were over 3 weeks since we moved out and they claimed that the services weren’t completed… Sorry, but I am not paying for cleaning if someone already moved in… (I didn’t fill them in on that info until recently, but let me continue).
Over 2 weeks pass since we receive that estimate. I have to email my agent twice to ask what is up. She eventually responds and says that the cleaning was «only» $ 250 and I will receive the difference in the mail with the receipt shortly.
Finally receive it, and I was not happy… The «receipt» was labeled «Invoice», was hand written, listed things that I KNEW were perfectly clean (like the fridge, the tub we literally used once, stove, the baseboards that my husband spent hours on his knees cleaning, etc), was made out like it was charging Regency, had no official company name on it, and the biggest kicker is that it was THE SAME HAND WRITING THAT ALSO ADDRESSED THE ENVELOPE TO US… Seriously?
I really feel like the «invoice» for the cleaning was completely forged by our agent. There was no date on it, but again, the cleaning would have had to taken place in that 5 day window and if it did, there is no way it would have taken us over 5 weeks to receive the receipt and final price for it. I also really don’t believe that the cleaning could have been $ 250… I feel like if we didn’t clean at all, we would have gotten charged the same amount…
The customer service SUCKED, then this happened. I wrote an email longer than this to their person in charge of disputes on Monday (I am posting this on Friday) and I have heard nothing back from them. My dad says to go to small claims, but I am not sure $ 250 is worth my time. But I said I would leave reviews, so here I am…
Maybe I am one of few to get a bad experience, but when an invoice looks forged and the dates don’t add up, and I basically have to pull teeth to get answers, I can’t imagine this is that rare. I honestly feel like most people get the good faith estimate, never follow up to ask for the receipt, and never get any additional money back. I do feel that if I didn’t follow up, I would NEVER hear from them again, and I can’t help feel that they do this every so often to get an extra couple hundred dollars here and there…
I wouldn’t trust them…

I’m glad you went out of your way to a get a hold of me, it shows you do care about your customers. I just want to say thanks for fixing the situation.

At first this place had me so upset because of the way my apartment was so nasty and alot of things were just unacceptable. But… they will go above and beyond to make your situation better asap if you let them know what’s going on.

Once again the office lady came through… I like when people take their business seriously. It makes me feel like they care. I appreciate their concerns… Thumbs up regency!

Originally I had a bad experience with them. But they are willing to go above and beyond to make things right. At the end of the day it wasn’t their fault the house I was renting went up for sale. All I can say is thank you for making things right! It would have been nice if I could have found another property through them.

Wow, the ladies at the desk really need to work on their body language. If I could, this wouldn’t get any stars. I had asked about details on a house. When she didn’t understand my question she rolled her eyes with frustration. I’m sorry your mind was not able to process the information I was asking. They are way too into looking pretty for the job rather than actually doing their job.

Been renting from them for a little over six months. I’ve never had any problems with them. Staff is friendly.

Quality service is what I get at Regency Property Management. They currently manage seven of my properties. The staff are always helpful and friendly, my tenants get excellent service quickly! I have never had any issues with them. I know I am getting the best service in Fresno when it comes to having my properties managed! They work hard to keep my tenants happy! I always recommend Regency to my friends who own properties and are looking for someone to managements.

DONT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I should have taken my first experience with the lady who showed my roommates and I the house as a red flag. We set up an appointment at 9am, 9:20 comes around and still nobody there. Another older lady was there to look at the house aswell (she didn’t have an appointment). When the lady to show us the house finally arrived she scolded us for walking in the house to look at it, even though there was painters there that had let us in, not even apologizing for being so late. She totally profiled my two friends and I for being young college girls and didn’t even bother to show us the house or give us any information about it, when we were the ones that set up the appointment but was more then happy to show the house to the older lady. So unprofessional. I’ve never been profiled like that before. We ended up getting the house and unfortunately that was just the start of our issues. The girls at the front desk and the managers are very rude with big attitudes. We had a set meeting with Marlene and she never showed up nor did she call. Joelle, the other supervisor was even worse. Talked down to us and lied numerous times. They took weeks and some times months to even respond or come out to fix issues we had wrong with the house, I had to constituently remind Joelle that nobody has came out to look at the house. I can’t even begin to write down how much stress this property management put us in and I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone to use them. Clearly more then half of the people writing these reviews agree. Save your trouble and pick a different company to manage your property.

Horrible experience with a bunch of liars. My husband and I inquired about a property to find out that they still had it listed, but it was rented. A week later on Thursday they called to set up an appointment to view the property saying that the original rents pulled out at the last minute. I asked if there were any other people who have put applications in on this property. Jennifer said no one, that they were giving the first viewing since we had the most interest in the property. So we drove 6 hours on Saturday to see the property. We viewed the property, it was dirty and needed repairs but we still wanted it. So, we put in an application. Before we handed Jennifer the money for the application fees. I once again asked if there were any applications in on this property, Jennifer said no and if all goes well with the credit check and the reference check that the property will be ours. Well hell!!! We got a call yesterday (Thursday which way past the three days they promised to take to process the applications) from the wonderful Marlene, who has bad customer service skills to say the least saying that they already had an application from that Thursday (the day they called me to set up the appointment) and they are going to give the property to them. Really??? Are you kidding me??? Stay the hell away from this company it is not worth the heartache and headache and all the hassle. They do not return calls or emails, just a bad business to deal with. I hope they rot in hell!!!

Horrible horrible! Please do not sign a lease with them. Management is all over the place! The place I rented was not even complete when I moved in. Service sucks! I lived there for a year and had to move out. Manager on site was crazy and always arguing every damn day!(previous manager was quite but new manager was way too much). Place was not even clean when I moved in and at the end of my lease I still owe this place money! Come on!!! I already deposited 600 before moving in and I cleaned up this place before I left. I was hoping the only good thing that will come from these people is getting some deposit money back but nope! They still want my money. They will charge you for every little thing! Heavy carpet clean! Are you kidding me? The carpet was not even attached to the wall! Also I was charged for not cleaning the fridge! Ha. I remembered clearly cleaning it. Gezzz! Yes there was bug! Lots of them roaches. Before you decide to sign a lease with these folks please beware! I have more stories to share but will stop for now. ZERO NADA STARS FOR REGENCY HUNGRY MONEY NO MANAGEMENT!

I have been renting properties from Regency for a little over four years. And found myself quite impressed with their new office! I walked in and was greeted by a lovely girl with a bubbly personality. I never have any issues with a service call that I place it’s always resolved quickly! I have three other fiends who rent from them and have never had any issues! This business has the best rent rates in town! I recommend them to ally fiends who are lookin on rent or have their property managed! The best in Fresno for sure!

Worst customers service ever!!! The reception lady has the ugliest attitude ever and very very unprofessional!!!
