Piccadilly Inn Express

Good value for the $$. Was 60.00 bucks. Very convenient to airport. Access thru an inside hallway. Room was clean n spacious. Bathroom clean with vintages of the 90’s. Dial phone next to toilet so u don’t miss a call. Bed was comfortable. A/​C thermostatically controlled. Standard free breakfast coffee, juice, waffles. Limited seating. I took back to room. Lots of hot water, good water pressure. Room has small refrigerator and microwave. WiFi was okay. For a short stay or extended would really recommend this property.

I was told Piccadilly had decent places in Fresno, I did not expect much and I got less. First I chose this place because the airport location didn’t have a king size bed but the one next door did. We started with our first room the key didn’t work so we got a new room (not a big deal). The new room has dirty walls, mildew on the shower curtain (hair hanging from it), the bed had two top sheets (no mattres sheet) so all night we had to readjust so we weren’t directly touching the mattres, the bed has three pillows (keep an even number), no floor towel, no fan or ventilation in the bathroom. Do not stay here!

Good value. Horrible coffee. Great towels and shower. Very noisy A/​C. Beds 7 of 10. Smooth efficient check in.

Terrible place to stay. Area surrounding is sketchy. The inside looks like it’s straight out of a 1990s Las Vegas casino hotel –patterned carpet to hide who knows what… ugly fake chandeliers. Just ugly.
Our non smoking room had a terrible smell of ash tray! The smoke detectors were bagged off. No towels. Guests’ before us had their room service glasses sitting in the hall on the floor when we arrived.
The ONE STAR they earned was for the dual shower heads (during a drought) blasting water pressure which is unheard of at hotels. Many use water saving devices but not this place. They also had the best black out drapes I’ve experienced. Not a ray of sunlight in the room!
I would not stay here again due to the service as well as the shape of hotel and sketchy surroundings.
If you are interested in this knowledge– the shell gas station that shares a parking lot with this place has the cheapest beer I’ve ever seen. Stock up if u enjoy beer.

Nope nope and nope. Stayed here because «80% recommend.» Failed to meet my already low expectations. Wouldn’t recommend. No bath tub, in a tiny room

Staff is friendly and nice… they let my wife stay a little past checkout for no extra cost so I could finish up a test for the state prisions. …very nice place… could use a little update but im not complaining. …used

Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Rooms were clean. Good price for the hotel a night. I will come back. The maids don’t bother you if you have the do not disturb sign on door which is nice. You get a good nice sleep.

Value for money. Averages about 75USD a night (I got it for 70USD online). I believe its the cheaper choice for a hotel near the airport (Really near).
The place is really clean and the size of the room is reasonable for a couple and a small kid. Security card to access the hallways and your room so that’s an additional plus to security. Nice room with very good internet speed. An external computer for public use in the lobby as well.
Breakfast provided. Self service waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, pastries (Juice and Coffee/​hot water available as long as lobby was open). Drinks and snacks sold in the lobby too. Lobby is open until 11pm at night and open for breakfast at 6:30am I believe [Unsure about opening hours])
Stayed here for 2 nights before I moved into my apartment down the road. The staff were really friendly and helpful, provided a lot of useful information about the town to help me settle down. Free pick up from and to Fresno Yosemite Airport.

Sufficient for my needs when I was just passing through and needed a place to crash. Nothing fancy but clean and the offer a limited breakfast.

I’m not going to sugar coat it. This was an absolute last resort due to the inability to find another hotel since it was graduation weekend… Simply put, this place is a sh! thole. From what I’ve experienced in the past, it really is not that difficult to provide a clean and comfortable atmosphere for guests, the Piccafilthy has failed.

The Piccadilly Inn Express has potential. Its location near the airport is convenient to travelers and central to all Fresno. Its design provides an extra level of safety, with card key entrance to the enclosed halls in addition to the rooms. The free breakfast is nice, with all manor of breakfast rolls, English muffins, bagels, yogurt, DIY waffles, juice, and tea. And its staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating. But there are too many issues that prevent it from an A-​Okay «3». First, the rooms need major updating. This is NOT for aesthetic purposes. It it for cleanliness. Upon our arrival, we entered a room that smelled like the human sweat of previous inhabitants. We isolated our issue to the comforter and blanket. After notifying the front desk the next morning, the comforter and blanket were switched out and the room smelled clean. Special shout-​out to our awesome housekeeper Carmen for doing a stellar job. It is not her fault that she has old linens to work with. Second, some of the outlet plates are loose and need to be tightened. It causes devices to not charge properly and the lights to flicker. Since outlets are limited in the rooms, it is imperative that those available are usable. Finally, the soap provided in the shower is the antiseptic hospital kind. If the place smells institutional, it’s because anyone that uses this soap will end up smelling that way! We resolved this by requesting a bar of soap from our friends that live in town. All of these are little things that will ultimately make a huge difference for hotel guests, once corrected. For my part, I’ll likely opt for the Piccadilly Inn Shaw next time we visit our friends. It is the hotel I meant to book when I booked this on Expedia. It’s more expensive but worth it.

I am very disappointed. I booked this for my mother who is handicapped and cannot walk well. I said she must have a downstairs room and they said they would accommodate her disability need. When she arrived, there were none available. THEY HAVE NO ELEVATOR! It was very dangerous and scary for her to walk up the cement steps dragging her luggage up. When she told them she had concerns about walking up the steps, no one offered to help her carry her luggage up.
She left her car at the hotel for her trip (part of the fees we paid) and they said she would be shuttled back and forth. There was no instructions on how to get a shuttle (which means they call you a cab) on the way back. She could not find the hotel phone number by calling information and none of the other Piccadilly hotels in the area that she called gave her the number. She ended up paying for her own cab.
To add insult to injury, when she arrived for her return night stay, they had no more downstairs rooms again! She insisted and they had to ask another guest to move upstairs to accommodate her. They told her, «Everyone requests a downstairs room.» We specifically said both times that this was a disability need.
Once she finally got to her room for her return stay, her key didn’t work!

For $ 80+ a night it doesn’t meet expectations.
I read other reviews on multiple travel sites and Piccadilly Inn Express did stand out above the competition. The price was slightly lower than the comparables when using a AAA discount, but I expected higher quality. This felt like a $ 65 a night room.
When arriving — rude young lady at desk playing with her iPhone. Made me feel like I was imposing by giving the hotel my business. Did not give me accurate directions to my room, proper use of the ancient keys, check-​out time, policies… List goes on. Just poor service from the young lady at check-​in.
While staying.
First, my door would not unlock. The key cards are outdated and are tricky to use. You have to leave the key in the lock when turning the handle.
Second, I was welcomed in my room by the smell of the previous guests bathroom use. There is no bathroom fan, steam from the shower and bathroom odor stays in the room. Takes a while to eliminate the steam.
The appearance is very dated. Mauve paint and old wallpaper trim. Dirt and stains on the walls.
Bed is uncomfortable.
Pillows old and worn out.
No channel guide. If I am from out of town I have no way of knowing what the tv stations are.
Bathroom floors, walls, shower insert, were horrible. Stained, damaged, dirty. Two piece shower insert had mold ring you could see from sitting on the toilet. Just not up to par. Torn shower curtain from ring.
Not enough towels.
Provided toiletries — pump shampoo and body wash in shower. Same with hand soap and lotion.
Could not sleep. Light coming through 1″ gap below door. Extremely noisy. Noise from outside and hallway is extremely loud. Could hear heater/​AC from nearby rooms. Loud refrigerator.
Tv is newer, but there is no way to know what the channel line-​up is. And poor cable/​satellite quality.
Great location, close to airport. Just needs updating in the rooms, better service, and serious cleaning. Little superficial things make the room feel rundown and unkept.

Good value for money. This hotel is very close to airport. I liked that fact that they pay for a person taxi to and and from the airport.

A decent airport motel. Nothing more, nothing less. Easy walking distance from the airport (just across the parking lot), and they provide airport transportation (this means they’ll call you a cab and pay the fare). Friendly front desk staff and very convenient.
Stayed here two separate nights. First night I had booked a king room and they put me in a two doubles room because the power was out in all the king rooms? Second night I got a king room, but the HVAC unit in my room had no thermostat control so the heat could either be «on» or «off,» which required choosing a setting before I went to bed.
