My installer was excellent! He arrived on time, was professional, friendly and informative. Got my system hooked up — got me going online and answered all my questions and concerns. Needed a little assistance with my password and getting signed into the system (my issue, not Matson), so had to contact someone back at the office who was also very helpful. Matson has the BEST customer service !!

Have had matson alarm for years. Alarm stopped working. They could not get a service tech out for a week. Then they stood us up. They finally showed up the next day and fixed the alarm, and we asked the tech yo plug in a camera for us, he said he could not. Awesome! Thanks for all the help. We offered to pay, we just needed a simple connection made. They just really seem like they don’t care.

I have a business account for 10 plus years and finally switched my home as well about couple years ago when we updated our business system. And at home we got the automated tuxedo keypads because of the automation. Set up was great Michael Matson was the person we dealt with, transaction was pretty smooth. But their customer service has taken a toll big time. I have Been trying get my total connect fixed and get updated for a week now (multiple calls) every time i call I am told someone will call back, but no one does. And this time I called them again, but their customer service was something I haven’t experienced before. I don’t expect anybody to flip a switch and fix the issue, but there should be a process and an genuine EFFORT to fix the issue, which was obviously missing in this case. They have made it uncomfortable to even call them anymore and They protect my business and home! Time to re-​evaluate.

Positive experience from my meeting with Avi to the installation with Dash. Very knowledgeable and helpful on all of their products. Will definitely refer friends and family.

I contacted a Matson technician (Larry E.) while he was installing alarm system next door. Based on his (& the neighbor’s) recommendation, I had the company respond to install a system. From the consultant (Shirley F.) to the service technician (Mark) to the representatives that make phone contact whenever the alarm has activated (by accident so far !), I found they are consistently prompt, courteous, and efficient. I made the initial decision also based on a local, reputable firm that is within arms reach if I had a problem (not a call center two states away) & have not been sorry. JOHN G.

I have had Matson Alarm Service for years and they have been responsive to my needs. However, this last service call was the reason I plan on staying with them. He was prompt and did not leave until the unit was working properly. He was dedicated, professional and friendly.

Watch for the contract. It automatically renews itself and it is very difficult to cancel. Also they will charge you for service — even though they «own» the equipment and is responsible for the upkeep. One of our window sensors failed and we could not arm the alarm even though I tried everything they suggested on the telephone. When they came, they opened and then closed the window and the sensor worked. They charged us $ 80 for the service basically claiming we don’t know what we were doing — even though we followed all their instructions on the telephone.
I will try to cancel the service as soon as the contract is up — I need to set an reminder to cancel at the exact date otherwise the contract renews itself. One can never be too careful about their crazy contract.
Would not recommend this company.

It’s unbelievable that more people haven’t Unilocaled about this place. Warning to anyone thinking about doing business with them: READ THE FINE PRINT IN THE CONTRACT! They were just fine until we tried to cancel due to moving to a new home. Since I didn’t cancel the «one year» contract by the 365^th day, the lease automatically renewed for two-​two year consecutive terms, making it actually a 5 year contract! They will shove the contract down your throat, guaranteed. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a company in my life. Needless to say, I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Matson has been in Bakersfield and Fresno for as long as I can remember. The salespeople have been knowledgeable and follow up. It’s great to do business with a local company. We have been extremely pleased with this company they have done a great job. My entire family has there service. Thank you Matson

Found these guys with a top rating on the Better Business Bureau website. From the best we can gather, this is the only place in Fresno that does it all (installation AND monitoring).
Some companies will install the equipment but lease the monitoring service elsewhere (Linkus, Safeco) while others monitor themselves but have authorized dealers install the equipment (ADT, Braodview). This runs the risk of confusion in the event of a false alarm/​event (who’s at fault? the company who installed it or the company monitoring) We felt more comfortable to have everything under one company and have been pleased with the customer service.
We accidentally tripped the alarm in the middle of the night and there was a phone call within 15 seconds — we were very impressed with the response time.
