Great personalized service by the owner, Lou Rodman. The store has a great selection of not only Barstools but Dining Room Tables and Chairs. I LIKE his policy of not being undersold by anyone, including the Internet. I got a great deal on some quality Barstools.

If you can’t find it here, then you can’t find it anywhere. They’ve got TONS of rectangular tables, oval tables, square tables, round tables, pedestal tables, four-​legged tables, add-​a-​leaf tables, poker tables, bar tables, glass tables, laminate tables; pine, oak, cherrywood, hickory, and more. They have patio sets with tables or fire pits, swings, loungers, and umbrellas.
They have a contract with the Amish (their work is featured in the first ¹⁄₃ of the store when you walk in), so you can get any finish matched with any edging, size, stand, wood/​material, and pattern. Since its custom-​made, it may take a while, and it may cost a bundle if you don’t get it on sale, but the work is quality. The majority of the rest that isn’t Amish is still made in the US, so you’re supporting our economy by buying from here.
Chairs mostly come separate (unless matched with a table for sale) and are also custom – mix and match height, legs/​stand, back pattern, arms, cushion or none; material, pattern, and thickness.
Service is excellent; the salesperson is helpful but not pushy, informative and hospitable. They have a free, fully-​stocked coffee, water, and tea bar you can visit as you fill out paperwork or just look around.
It’s wonderful to go in, try everything out, and customize what you want. If you can afford it, I highly recommend this place. If you don’t think you can, they may have an overstock item or sale going on, so check it out, anyway.

Went into the store looking for 2 barstools from Mr. Rodman who seemed very helpful upon working with him initially, PRIOR TO THE SALE transaction. Was nice to see he finally had a fairly good selection of other than «made in China» merchandise. We were interested in Leather top stools and he explained that he carried «The REAL Deal Leather» Should have known at that point to ask very specific questions about his knowledge on REAL Deal Leather. My mistake. Well AFTER his statements that the leather could be just wiped clean with water if a spill happens, I again made the mistake in assuming that his Real Deal Leather had a protective substance of some type applied to the leather surface, as Mr. Rodman knew that we were going to use them daily around food/​bev. Well Not the case. The leather product was apparently Aniline Leather which is Leather treated with an aniline dye with NO other pigment finishes applied to seal or protect your investment in «The Real Deal» OF course AFTER Mr. Rodman got paid, from home, I telephoned him to inquire about what product he suggest I use to seal the leather he sold me. THAT“S WHERE THE ANGRY MR. LOU RODMAN SPEWED OUT!!! How rude and unprofessional he was to me on the phone in his ranting and belittling rage! Before hanging up on me, He stated in his 30+ years in the business he’s never heard of anyone wanting to seal or protect leather! Well, well, well Mr. Rodman that speaks volumes about you, and your business practices for the past 30 years. Take a hint, if you are going to sell the «Real Deal» learn about it. Guardsman product line might be a good place to start as they know about people who care and want to protect FINE furniture, IF… Mr. Rodman, that’s what you’d like to sell.

We were recently passing through town to visit relatives and saw a billboard. We have been looking for barstools for over 6 months now. All we come across you can tell they are going to fall apart in a couple of years but still priced relatively high to do so.
We had at this point almost given up until we gave the billboard a shot. We came in to see tons of options of high to higher quality choices to choose from. After viewing the area we started to notice some of the really high quality chairs and tables. Some are made in Russia but a old man I believe and lots of amish furniture as well. The quality of these pieces are so well done it blew us out of the water. We focused on one style and worked out the details and paid the man. This kind of quality will probably outlast our bar. The kind we chose hand made european beach wood with mortice and dowel joints it is so heavy we can barley lift it, absolutely amazing quality well worth the price.
He had it shipped and in our house (in Vegas) within a week, we have already referred a friend for his family and we will be back when we need more items.
Lou is very friendly and knows his product, there are a few levels of product within the store but the quality of the higher end stuff is worth driving from wherever you are.
We will be back!

Just purchased my brandy home with my wife and was looking for a dining table. Had looked at other stores but the store had the best quality at the most reasonable prices. It was a young boy that assisted me and he was great at explaining the features of the table, include extenders.
This place was recommended to me by my parents who also purchased a dining room table. Highly recommend and will continue to refer other friends and family court looking for quality wood furniture.
It’s also conveniently located on Blackstone just a couple of minutes down from Riverpark

If you need constant hand holding and coddling, then maybe Lou’s is not the place for you. If you want quality furniture at a reasonable price, then you’ve come to the right place. Lou doesn’t employ a large sales staff, it’s just him and his wife. If it gets busy, you may have to wait a little bit to get some of his time. That was okay with me because there was a lot of delicious things to look in the showroom. We were very happy with our purchase, delivery, and the quality of the furniture from Lou’s.

My wife and I have made two purchases from Lou in the last year. Both experiences were great and we are extremely happy with the furniture and the service. I highly recommend Lou for his great selection, delivery crew and customer service.

Lou helped us when my husband and I went in looking for chairs (left after buying a table and chairs lol). He was nice, greeted us, told us if we had questions to let him know, but never hovered over us like most pushy sales people. He was knowledgeable about the tables, answered all of our questions. Gave us space and respected our privacy when the conversation moved that way and hubby and I wanted to discuss privately. Great prices, wide variety to choose from, nice stuff. One good thing is that if you’re buying chairs, he will actually let you bring them home and try them out to see if you like them before purchasing… great idea! Was my first experience there and will definitely refer friends and family there.

I am not the easiest guy to work with but Lou was great! He was very patient and boy does he know his tables/​chairs. My wife and I went back numerous time to make sure we were making the right decision and Lou walked us through the process more than once. No reason to look anywhere else for tables and chairs in Fresno. We will definitely be back and will recommend Lou to anyone.

Spoke to Lou himself, and I have to wonder if he has an anger management problem. His tone over the telephone was rude, sarcastic and extremely unprofessional. I am always looking for the latest furniture places to tell my friends about, but I will NEVER be referring any of them to this store! You never know who you encounter in customer service. Any good business owner knows that any person you meet, or speak to could ALWAYS be a potential customer. He just lost my business and other potential clients as well! Hope he has someone else other than himself working the phones!

We had a great experience. Many different chairs and barstools to choose from. We even had a barstool custom made, and it came out great. This was not our first experience with Lou and it won’t be our last. They now have some nice outdoor furniture!

I was referred to Lou Rodman’s by a neighbor after admiring her gorgeous new dining room table. I had been thinking about purchasing a new dining table, so I went to Lou Rodman’s to check it out. I was amazed at the amount of choices that I could actually see in person and not in a picture. When entering the store I was greated by Lou and was left alone to browse the store. No pushy commission hungry salesmen here! I hate being followed around any store! I had my eye on a high top kitchen table that I spotted right away that had matching quality barstools! Knowing my husband, I had to do my research. I went all over checking prices, styles, quality, etc. I later went home and searched the web, and was confident to know that I had found a great buy and happily took my husband back into the store. He was hesitant and did not want to deal with a furniture salesman following him around the store and wanted me to know that we were only going to «look» at the table and he wasn’t promising me that we would buy the table that day. My husband was shocked at the friendliness of Lou, the owner and I didn’t have to say a word. My husband loved the table and it was delivered the same day! Everything worked out great and I feel GREAT when I buy LOCAL! I send all my friends to Lou Rodman’s and they have felt the same.

My experience was exactly as reported by other more than satisfied Unilocal reviewers. Great guy. Easy going, appropriately friendly, incredibly helpful in figuring out what would work best for the customer, not just his bottom line. His showroom is packed with quality options beyond what I’ve ever seen before. I am a frequent online shopper. After this experience I am more likely to shop local in the future.

Love love love Lou Rodmans! We bought our dining table and chairs here a few years back. We browsed first before asking any questions or purchasing. The owner of the store Susan, Lous wife helped us. I loved how she acknowledged us while we were browsing but was not pushy. She let us know what sales they had at the time and let us know to feel free to look around and if we had any questions just let her know. She did not follow us around or make us feel uncomfortable. I like how she acknowledge us but gave us space…
After looking she said thank you for coming in and we went to other stores to compare prices. Lou Rodmans not only had the best prices but the quality of the furniture is far far better! The other stores wood was very cheap and splity looking and the sales man were either pushy or no one acknowledged us at all.
A week later we went back to Lou’s and this time he was there. He was so nice and still honored the sale price he had the holiday weekend we went before because we told him we had already looked at that piece when his wife was there. He didn’t have to offer that sale price but he did! Score!

Few days later. When we had a chance to look at the piece we notice a small scratch on the table, it was hardly noticeable but i thought id let them know and see what they say. So we called him and he said he would order another one and he would calls us once it was in… Cool!
Well in that meantime I had dropped a vase on the table and put even a bigger scratch on it. This time very noticeable! When he called a few weeks later to sch delivery on the new table I had to be honest and let him know.
He was so cool… He gave us two options. He for one would still take back the table or he would give us $ 100 refund for the original small scratch.
Since he was such a cool dude and he and his wife were lovely to work with we couldn’t take a new table knowing we put a huge scratch in it and it would be hard for him to sell especially since we already got a deal on it. So we were more than happy to take the $ 100 refund! Most stores wouldn’t even offer that. Especially because the scratch was so tiny.
Till this day I still refer to them and send my clients to them. I always hear how happy everyone is not only with the experience but with the high quality furniture they purchase! Plus it’s a local business! I love buying local, especially with a local business like Lou Rodmans who always remembers and care!
Next time I need furniture I will defiantly return to Lou Rodman’s!

When my husband and I purchased our first home, a few things were necessities: refrigerator, couches, crib and a bar. I wanted a designated area, with a couple bar stools, that still looked like a piece of furniture, rather than a bar in a game room.
I looked online, and at furniture stores, but the best looking and best price was here! The bar and matching bar stools were perfect for our home. We always get compliments on it. It was a couple years ago, but I want to say the bar was $ 800.

Went in looking for a dining room set and found one I really liked, on sale, but it was a little darker than wanted. Mr. Rodman looked it up and found there was a lighter wood but it would have to be shipped in and he would still honor the sale price. There was a problem with the shipping which caused the set to be delivered 2 weeks later than planned. He was very apologetic and said he would have the set delivered free of charge ($ 60) and would have the guys put the 8 chairs together. The set is beautiful Mr. Rodman was a great, stand up guy. I will be going back there!

Lou Rodman is great. If you need anything at all for your dining room or bar or breakfast counter he’s the man to see in california. he even lets you take a stool home to make sure its right for you before you buy the rest of the set. With thousands of stools and dining sets in stock you can tell he’s the serious one in this business in fresno. Oh, and the best thing is the low pressure sales approach. The only furniture stores I have ever been to where I don’t feel attacked are Lou Rodmans and mine.
