So first of all I walked in. And asked For a restroom coz I want to wash my hands before getting any food. And lady was kind of stopping me. I asked again that I want to use a restroom. At that moment I think she finally understood what I want. Everybody there barely speak English. So I came out of the restroom and wanted to see what kind of food they got. I wasn’t surprised at all just like any Chinese buffet. Not the best quality what was expecting. I was like that’s fine. So I went to front desk to ask to get seated. Lady asked me to pay first, kind of unusual but whatever. Giving her my card she says that’s 14 $ which is kind of expensive for a lunch on Tuesday. But again whatever. I just wanted to get some food in. But right after she says that price with card 15 $. That was last drop for me of way how they run business. So I just went to hometown.

Upon entering you get that classic fishy Chinese buffet smell. The place was packed, we somehow got a table immediately. There are laminated signs everywhere with things like ‘not responsible for kids who get hurt while running’ and ‘don’t let your kids play in this pond their fingers might get bit by a turtle’. Many plates later we finished with a giant cutom stir fry plate with lots of bacon and pineapple. Great times. Also they have menudo on sundays cuz it’s Fresno.

Pretty okay Chinese restaurant. Not too expensive(About $ 13 per person I think) and it is AYCE. Food is definitely sub-par(with a few good exceptions), but not disgusting. I came around noon/lunch time from a bus trip. Service, while not top –notch, is fine.

40 bucks for 2 adults and a child I will not be returning, even if it was free I still won’t go back. Old cold nasty funky smelling food that sat out too long. Run down and disgusting.

Atrocious! I never write reviews… I feel I must … as a warning. Not sure what went so wrong in the kitchen. Even the jello was nasty!!! Each table comes with a huge bottle of hot sauce. Use it — to kill the taste of the food. Unfortunately other Unilocal reviews led me astray. This place needs to be closed down. Save your dollars and go elsewhere.

Second disappointment of my Norcal tour trip. Last day, heading back to LA and my tour guide told us that we will stop for lunch at a buffet on the way. It’s «good and cheap», which is what he also said about another awful Chinese restaurant he recommended the day before. Cheap? Yes. About $ 12 – 13 per person, what a steal! However, the only food choice that seemed worthy of that price were the clams. Nothing looked appealing. Orange chicken was hard. The short ribs or whatever it was was tough as a rock. Chewing was really tiring. The plus side is that there is a soda fountain, so you can get unlimited drinks and refills. Chow mein was super oily, but as is all Chinese foods at buffets. The garlic bread was good at least. It’s pretty hard to fail at that though. The icecream was good. It’s pre-scooped into plastic cups and placed in the freezer for your convenience. There were many flavors, and I can’t speak for the others, but the vanilla was yummy. For the most part, everything tasted like they’ve been left out on the trays for hours and hours. My review was not meant to sound sour, but why did I decide to give one star? Because both my dad and I had a stomachache after our meals. Diarrhea x2. Sorry for the TMI.

I ve been to this place about 3 times. Leaving a big time gap between each time I went just to see if it got better. Unfortunately it hasn’t I just ate at this place today and first of all its 12.50/person. The food is a bit tooo oily compared to other places I’ve been. And their fruit tastes as if it’s been there all day. Don’t recommend.

Price was right affordable and included drink unlike most places that charge an extra few dollars for a drink. Decent selection of food and a good taste, not great but worth the price.. My favorite is the Mongolian grill part where you create your own stir fry. They have chicken feet and pigs feet too for those with a sense of adventure.

Ugh this place is NASTY! We got there at about 8pm and spent $ 13 per person. The food looked«okay» but maybe it was because I was super hungry. The taste was awful! It was like the food had been left out for way too long. I got the spring rolls and they were so cold and pretty much tasteless. Now for the worst part of all…*warning, don’t read if your on a full stomach* The bathroom! After eating, I entered the bathroom and I almost threw up! It smelled like shit. I literally had to hold my vomit in. There was piss all over the floor and on the toilet seats. So unsanitary. I grabbed my things and got the hell out of that restaurant!

Dined here for lunch as part of a San Francisco tour. For $ 12 you get the typical greasy Chinese/American food. The food was average, with some being rather soggy(e.g.steak sandwich, rolled tacos). Despite being average I am a fan of this kind of stuff, especially the addition of Mexican dishes that I’ve yet to experience in buffets. The addition of drinks being part of the price is a plus. The service was warm and welcoming, providing fast plate cleanup. You pretty much get what you pay for, and I enjoyed it very much. I Would dine here again!

I went there today as part of the tour to White Sand in New Mexico. Lunch price: $ 13 per person everything included! Food: you get a variety of food from pizza to noodle soup to sushi. For the price, I thought the food quality was quite good. I loved the pork feet and clams and broccoli with beef. The fruits were average. But overall I thought it was totally worth it! I was really surprised at the quality with this price range. We were with a tour and there were two tours eating plus some locals. So I think the food was really fresh. I would totally recommend this place!

Well… I actually want to give it a 1 star, but I am giving it 1.5 because I guess I am get what I pay for. Yuck! Our tour bus took us to this location for dinner, but they weren’t much other options except for KINGBUFFET in the area. *COST* we were told by the tour guide that $ 15 will cover cost of dinner, tax and tips. What we weren’t told was that they tag on an additional $ 0.50/person when you pay with your credit card without telling you in advance. *FOOD* They have mostly Chinese food on the hot trays, one selection of pizza and a small selection of sushi. There’s also Teppanyaki made to order. Personally, I think the food was kinda nasty and oily. I literally gag when I took a bite of the Chow Mein as it tasted like it was stir fry with old oil. Oh yeah, don’t be expecting Prime Rib or Roast Turkey, they might have some Short Ribs on the hot tray, but they looked like they have been under the heat lamp for 6 hours by the time I got to it. One word — Meh

I was brought here by our tour bus after Yosemite. The food quality is not too bad for a small town Chinese restaurant. Price is not bad also.

I am tour guide and take tourist to Yosemite National Park very often. Almost every time stop Fresno around lunch time, I go King Buffet to enjoy the Buffet with my guests. Restaurant is very clean and foods quality is very high standard in Chinese and American Buffet business. Service is very polite and higher standard too. I must say they have very good management. Before I became tour guide business, I was manager of Japanese Buffet restaurant in Buena Park, CA You can trust my experience but, don’t go there little before closing time… you will disappoint most of buffet restaurant … Always opening time is the best. Highly recommend for budget buffet meal for everybody.

Why am I writing this? I guess as a public service to warn people. Just kidding, I’m not that messed up. I had a bad experience here is all. First, the PRICE was about $ 14 for dinner and a soda… very reasonable. I can’t complain there, and as for service, we were seated immediately, probably because the place was pretty empty. I think to myself that a restaurant being empty is usually a bad sign. Anyhow as for the actual FOOD itself, it was lack luster and disappointing. When we got there, it was about 6pm, which is usually peak dinner hours at a restaurant, but what I experienced was a let down. I don’t know if its because Fresno is desolate and empty in general compared to so cal, but I think I saw some tumble weeds out front… I had a feeling that no one was there for lunch either because the food was very stale. And being dinner and all, i would have thought that they would make the food fresh. The meats seemed as though it was sitting idle for a few hours. The only fresh thing they had was the mongolian bbq. Of course that would be fresh, they make it in front of you. Anyway, I hate to hand out one-star ratings. But they earned it.

Had to bring mom here as she spotted a $ 3 off for seniors coupon in the Fresno Bee. The food was pretty marginal; the only thing that I enjoyed was some broiled Spanish Mackeral, which is not readily available. I left there feeling like I had attended a Mexican wedding reception as LOUD Mexican music was blaring throughout the restaurant. Add to that the constant grinding of an ice machine and you have epic noise overload. I longed to be sucked into a cone of silence after dining there. Don’t botha.

I know this place gets a bad rap. But let’s be reasonable. For about 10 dollars, you have access to your regular greasy Chinese food and some types of American food. I was a fan of the generic spicy octopus that almost every buffet like this serves as well.(As long as there’s the generic spicy octopus, I’m happy.) But what gives this place an extra 2 stars is that I lost my Nikon outfit here. I called them four hours later, as I realised I lost it, and they had it. A few days later the other tour guide picked it up for me as he dropped by there. King Buffet, thank you for renovating something about your lackluster interior the time I was there. Thank you even more for helping my camera come home.
