Our salon offers haircuts and styling for men, women and children. We also offer color, highlights, blowouts, weaves, relaxers, extensions and special event hair. Skin treatments include facials, peels, waxing and makeup. We have a full-​service nail center offering multiple types of manicures and pedicures. Jia Salon and Spa started as an idea between myself and my daughter when she was about 10 years old. Now, a beautiful 23 year old, we are realizing our original vision, and look forward to our vision continuing to grow as we serve clients over the years.

For Christmas my boyfriend bought me the spoil me silly package from Jia. It included a customized 1 hour massage, 1 hour facial, lunch, and a deluxe mani/​pedi for $ 255.
The massage was fantastic. I left the room feeling like I was on and cloud and my muscles had never felt better. The masseuse was professional and amazing and I hope I can come back to see her! Secondly, the facial was equally as nice. Alexis, the aesthetician, took her time and even massaged my neck and shoulders in between masks. Lunch was served promptly and wine and champagne where also given. Lastly, the mani/​pedi was aright. The manicurist took her time and my nails looked great. The big problem I had was that they charged me an extra $ 42 to take off the gel I had on my nails and toes. I did not expect this charge so it ended up being all of the cash I had on hand that I was going to use on a tip for the 3 ladies who had helped me that day. Also, $ 42 seems like quite a lot to remove gel, most places would have charged $ 15 at most.
Overall, my experience was fantastic and I would love to come again! Just know if you come in for a mani/​pedi with gel polish on to remove it beforehand!

I was needing to find a new hairstylist, and thought I would try Jia. I signed up for an appointment online and then also scheduled a pedicure for a different day. The website did schedule me, but with the same person which I found odd. On Monday I did get a call from them, sounding a little confused about my wanting the same person for these two services. There is apparently some trouble with how their scheduling website is syncing up. She was very polite and when I said I didn’t have a preference as to who, I was rescheduled. They worked with me to find a time when I could have back to back appointments and do it all together. I got my hair cut by Delia, and even though I was early, it wasn’t a problem and she took me back. She was very sweet and did a great job. Then I had my pedicure with Jackie, and it was so nice. The atmosphere was wonderful. I enjoyed both services very much. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the website scheduling issues. It seems to have a significant disconnect somewhere. I would recommend calling for an appointment and then rescheduling when you are there. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Lorig is awesome! She is a perfectionist and so talented. She can do it all, colors, cuts, up-​dos, makeup, anything beauty-​related, and she gives great tips and advice too (been going to her for years). She loves what she does and it shows. I always look forward to getting my hair done by her and on top of it all, we have so much fun! Go to Lorig, she’s the best.

I’ve gone to Lorig for years and she just moved to this salon. I hadn’t colored my hair in over 2 years, so i had my natural hair all grown out. It felt like the very first time doing my hair again lol. She did such a wonderful job on my hair and she accommodated to what shade of blonde I really wanted. She is very talented not only with coloring hair but also makeup. She’s my go to and I highly recommend getting ur hair done for any occasion.

My hairdresser moved here so I came along too as I really like my hairdresser.
Jia Salon is in the corner center next to the Woodward Library. The parking lot is not convenient as there are numerous places in the center that reserves parking spots for their business.
The reception area is very spacious and light. But that all ends at the door into the salon area. The space is cramped and the lighting unnatural. Work stations seemed to be piled on top of one another.
My hairdresser is happy here and that’s what matters to me. She has to work here every day, I come but once a month. The management seems to be very efficient and the salon is well-​run.

I’ve only gotten a spray tan here, so I can’t speak for the other services. But the tan was awesome! Jia did mine and she was very professional and friendly. She clearly explained how everything worked and what I should expect. The spray tan is done in a nice little booth in the back of the salon, very private. I’m pretty fair so she set the device to a 3.5 and it came out great! Its a little sticky right afterwards but that went away in about 45 minutes. My tan developed nicely over the next 10 hours or so. A very tan, brown color. Its looks super natural, not like a spray tan at all! I will definitely be going back.

Get ready for some pampering! I had a great haircut and style by Brittany followed by an exquisite facial by Miss Rosalinda. I can’t recommend Rosalinda highly enough. She went above and beyond with the pampering. She’s friendly, knowledgable and left me looking and feeling great.

This review is solely on Bianca the esthetician at Jia. I was referred to her by a friend and was able to book an appointment that fit my schedule. I must say I have gotten facials at a couple of places around town before and no one has ever given me the level of customer service and care that Bianca did today. Bianca greeted me shortly after I arrived and we went to her work area. The ambiance was relaxing, calm and private. Bianca made me feel very comfortable and informed of how the facials and extractions work. She walked me through everything that she was doing and applying to my face. Nothing was a surprise because she was so good at letting me know what she was doing. The products that she used were soothing and smelled very good. Bianca is very professional, great at what she does and I recommend seeing her for facials or extractions. She does eyebrow waxing as well. I can not wait to go back!

My first experience was a few days ago and I absolutely loved my experience. Brittany H. did my hair and she did an amazing job. She listened to what I wanted and wasn’t afraid to go in and give my hair a good cut. She took off 6 inches of my hair and gave me the cutest medium bob length cut. I will definitely be going back to her and will even consult her about color in the future.

Jonel is the absolute best! Having just moved to Fresno a couple months ago I was trying to find someone consistent to stick with and when I had a hair emergency she went in on 4th of July to save the day! My sister and I both love her and will never go anywhere else! The salon is beautiful and everyone that works there is so nice!

I’ve been coming to Jia for a few years now. I followed my stylist here from several other salons and this has been my favorite.
The receptionists and other staff are always courteous and the salon is huge inside so it never seems cramped.
Angie M. has been highlighting and cutting my hair for 8+ years now and in this entire time I literally have not let another stylist touch my hair! I usually get partial blonde highlights and occasionally full highlights and a trim and it always turns out PERFECT. I literally have people stopping me on the street asking me where I get my hair done and who does it at least once a week. Angie at Jia is awesome and is highly recommend going to her for any of your hair needs.

After just moving to Fresno from San Jose was honestly nervous about finding a new stylist. I must say I am impressed and found one!
Even though I was 15 minuets early I was welcomed by Racheal. With no real plan for what I wanted other than a trim she found the perfect style for me even added so highlights to get me ready for summer! She was even kind enough to show me how to blow out my bangs.
I will definitely be returning, especially since I’ve learned that they are a full spa too

I started coming to Jia when my stylist, Felicia, moved here. I’ll follow her around everywhere — but since her move, I’ve had my nails done and a spray tan done here as well. I cannot remember the name of the nail tech, but she was extremely nice, professional, and kept our conversation going. Her gel manicures were PERFECT! A little pricey — but worth it as they’d last weeks!
One thing that really set Jia above the rest was my recent visit. I had a hair appointment set with Felicia for the evening. I had just found out I was going out of town and decided I needed a spray tan too! I called the morning of and asked if anyone could fit me in before Felicia did my hair. The receptionist was awesome was able to get me in!
Unfortunately, I live about 35 minutes away and even though I left with enough time — there was an accident on Friant and I got stuck in traffic and ended up running 15 – 20 minutes late to my tanning appointment. I called and explained to the receptionist that if the person doing my tan couldn’t wait, I’d understand.
I showed up and the person doing my tan was waiting! Thank goodness! I was so apologetic and she was extremely nice. I later found out she was the owners daughter. She was extremely nice and as she tanned me we talked about our kids and our husbands, etc! Many places would have cancelled my appointment for being that late — and I appreciated it so very much! So I’ll continue my praises for Jia!

First time at Jia. Very nice place. Receptionists were friendly and professional. My stylist was competent, but I found him a little rude (ex: he’d say «hi» and turn around even before you get a chance to respond… not good for a first impression). Also, at time, I felt like he had some urgent appointment to go to and I was in the way.
Other than that, he is skilled, and uses good quality products. I was pleased with the end results. I will probably go back, but with another stylist.

Wow Unilocal is being too harsh. Alright so I feel a bit obligated to review my experience here.
The first time I came here was two years ago when I hacked off all my hair (10+ inches) to donate it. Donna was my stylist and she did a really fabulous job! I asked her to give me long piecey layers, some long side bangs and thin out the rest of it. She gave me really cute layers and did a really nice job thinning out the body of my super thick hair. I got a lot of compliments on this cut from people who are used to seeing me with short hair and from random strangers. *I just found where I had hidden her card today or else I would have asked for her again if she’s still there
A few days ago, I came here for a haircut with Janelle. I’m not totally sure on the spelling of her name. Right now I have super long hair and essentially asked for the same thing. ½ an inch off the bottom, trim up my side bangs and freshen up the layers. Essentially keep my haircut the same but a touch shorter everywhere. I did get exactly what I asked for though I do feel the layers aren’t as piecey as before and just kind of blend in now which is fine. Janelle was timely, conversational and nice.
Overall I’d say it was a positive experience both times. I will definitely come back here. Both times cost between $ 40 and $ 45 for the cut which is pretty cheap if you ask me.

I had an appointment to get a hair color and cut on 04÷04÷12 but the stylist I had an appointment with wasn’t available that day. They set me up with Gloria instead. It was by far the most awful experience I’ve had. She did not bother to show me the hair colors to pick from. When I asked if she can show me the difference between an ash brown and a warm brown she acted as if I was asking too much. She just said well the color that u have is a warm brown. I told her that I was trying to go lighter but for now I’ll keep the warm brown. She dyed my hair the darkest brown it looked almost black. On top of that she was so rough with my hair a chunk of it fell out right after washing off that awful color she picked. I didn’t want her touching my hair after that. I am never going back there for any hair services again.
Seems like all the good reviews are a year old. If you really watched your videos you’ll probably see that I was upset before I even approached the registry to pay. I had a cut and style appointment but I refused to let her continue. That was just horrible service. You also must have missed –that’s if your staff made a note of it– the fact that I asked to get the lightest brown I can go when I made the appointment.
About your comment «we would extend that courtesy to her even though it was expired» you should review their policy. The living social deals promotional value expires but the paid value doesn’t expire till 5 years from the day of purchase. You had to honor it according to their policy that you agreed on. Also your salon didn’t mention anything on the voucher that after expiration it can only be used for infrared wraps.
