Fresno Moving and Storage

These people are the worst. I purchased a couch with JC Pennys and was told these people will deliver. Well I have scheduled with them twice and both times the hour they said would come they didn’t. What is the point of making appointments with them when they are non-​compliant. I will have to call JC Pennys and hopefully they pull the contract with them. I also called the office and they are supposed to be there and they are not answering phones. Lousy service.

You guys have a contract with Pier 1 to deliver things quicker than 10 days. I was also told by Betty you only deliver on Fridays and Saturdays. That may be one of your issues. I am also still waiting on a call from Ron.

Betty in the office and the warehouse crew great! I had an IKEA shipment from Sacramento that was late getting to Fresno. They made a special effort to find my items and allowed me to pick up the same day. Thank you Betty!!!

I ordered a desk from Office Depot and Fresno Moving and Storage was assigned to deliver it. They attempted to deliver the desk to my house twice without notifying me. They didn’t leave the desk because nobody was home (sorry but you can’t just randomly show up at someones house and assume they will be there). When I called they asked if they could deliver the following day between 11am-​2pm. When I said I couldn’t because I was working the person I was talking to sounded annoyed with me as if they were doing me a favor delivering my item. I should have canceled right then but we finally agreed on a day the following week. I got a call the next day saying they were on their way to deliver my item! I called and again they sounded annoyed with me even though we had just agreed on a different day the day before.
Well today was the day we agreed on and they called me this morning saying the delivery wouldn’t be here until 4pm even though we agreed on 11am-​2pm. I was frustrated because I had asked all along if they could deliver after 3pm so I wouldn’t have to miss any time at work and they said that wouldn’t be possible. Then at 4:30 I received another call saying their driver was running late and he wouldn’t be at my place until sometime around 7pm and again they were anything but apologetic. I had finally had enough and said forget it and cancelled my order.

I wanted to hire local movers and provide business to them, rather than picking an anonymous big company online. Big Mistake. Freno Moving and Storage seemed very nice over the phone, but in the end it was the worst service ever. When I first called the receptionist told me this is peak moving season so there’s a 10 day delay. I asked what that means? They won’t be able to pick my things up for 10 days? It will take 10 days longer to get to the new city? Her response, «I don’t know I’m just the receptionist.» Great thanks lady. Still she insisted on sending a mover over to my house to talk to me, they only come during business hours and I work. So I told her I need to be out of my house by a certain day and need the furniture to arrive by a certain day, if they can’t accommodate that there’s no point in me rearranging my work day to meet the mover for an estimate. Typically I don’t get scheduled lunch breaks and work out in the field, so I can’t just go home for a lunch break. Still she insisted the mover would come by and work something out. The day of the appointment I called to make sure the guy was on his way, the receptionist says «Oh no, you’re appointment is tomorrow.» I had told her this was this ONLY day I could arrange my schedule to take a break and go home, so there’s no way it could be the next day. After lots of arguing over the phone, the mover came over 45 minutes late to give me a quote. As soon as he walked in he told me they would not be able to pick up my furniture until two weeks after the date I need to be out of my house! Obviously, that didn’t work and it’s something they could have told me over the phone!!! They just thought they could somehow convince me and get money out of me. It was a huge waste of time. DO NOT HIRE THEM, I DIDN’T.

Recently, I observed Chris Gutierrez, his brother Steven, and father Richard (who work for Fresno Moving & Storage (FMS)) unload and setup furniture that was shipped from Nashville. As soon as they entered the truck packed with a house full of furniture, their first comment was this was a poor packing job. Just to start with, a mattress purchased just over a year ago for $ 2K was not wrap and you could see the dirt, and when unloaded you could see a deep hole with liquid damage. As they unloaded FMS they identified and took pictures of the all damages (due to the poor packing which was pretty extensive) before they removed the items.
FMS unloaded with care and in a professional manner in a timely manner. They did a great job of setting up items and putting the labeled boxes in the correct rooms. The folks who packed the house in Nashville are no way connected to FMS. Probably would have better to pay to have Chris, Steven, and Richard flown to the origination city to pack and flown home to unpack, that way you could be sure everything would look the same and be in one piece.
