We specialize in pediatric and behavioral ophthalmology vision therapy for kids, low vision therapy, American Academy of Optometry certified in irregular fittings for contact lenses — distorted, diseased, irregular, post surgical special and unusual cases (corneal transplant, keratoconus, scleral contact lenses).

History

Established in 1978.

Dr Terry and Kristine Cole moved to the Fresno area upon completion of their education in 1978. They liked the northwest Fresno area of Fig Garden and settled in across the street from «Farrell’s Ice Cream» and «Jack Pieroni’s Ski and Sports» — Fresno landmarks!

Dr Jeff Krohn joined the practice in 1989 after a short time teaching at the Southern California College of Optometry, where he had trained. The practice grew from referrals and great customer service.

Dr Alesha Jensen started working alongside Drs. Cole, Cole and Krohn in 2010. At first part-​time and now full-​time, she brings a great new perspective and exceptional training to the team!

Now, we are Fig Garden Optometry, a group practice that has become (in our opinion) the best of both worlds — an eye care practice small enough to know you and large enough to take care of you!

Business Owner

Dr. Jeffrey Krohn graduated with high honors and joined the faculty that trained him at the Southern California College of Optometry. He came to the valley in 1989 but has never stopped learning and training. He was granted a «Fellowship» in the American Academy of Optometry in 1992 and achieved status as a «Diplomate» in the Section of Cornea and Contact Lenses in that organization in 1996. He has spoken in front of his peers across the country and has conducted research for a number of contact lens manufacturers. Most recently, he has been granted «Board Certification» as a Diplomate in the American Board of Optometry. He is also an «Administrator» for the professional organization known as «Vision Source». He is married to Pattie Krohn and they have four children. He is an elder and teacher at Trinity Community Church.
