Bitwise… what in the heavens is that? For a city majorly known as the hub for the agriculture industry of California, a tech industry seems out of place, yet just like an unlikely oasis in the dessert — imagine dubai, Bitwise similarly stands proud as a tech hub for the central valley that has been seeing growth every year. Bitwise is simply explained as a place where geeks and tech crowd work together under one roof in a common work space and in addition a brilliant place that cultivates new technology talents from the valley and beyond through its geek wise academy education program(an affordable speedy tech program that teaches young and old people about app development, coding and etc). Bitwise is not something new to the fresno crowd — because they have been here in downtown fresno spreading the tech effort and bringing small tech companies to fresno for a few years now, this new building that they call«south stadium» is the new stuff, it is a great extension to its current effort of bringing technology business to downtown Fresno. I have worked in the older location before, and I must say this new building is impressive and a huge improvement from the current facility, the south stadium is a complete ecosystem — a place where work, play and health line together like a happy marriage. This new place combines a fun and trendy office space, that is rented to over 90 tech tenants with a luxurious 50,000 sq. foot space to move around, divided between its 3 levels. It boast a 24 hour gym, a coffee shop, a business amenities shop –UPS, a restaurant/café, a complete kitchen, game room, lounges, meeting/conference room and more. I am truly impressed with the new kitchen, its massive, and has lots of counter space, while the game and lounge area, is a great place to sit back and relax. Lastly the 24 hour gym, is a complete gym with weight area, bench press, dauntless and barbells, plus the excellent variety of cardio machines. I do love the fact that this building was actually a historic 100 year old building(Phelan Garage building) that has since been updated, given a facelift and rejuvenated to thrive once more as a tech hub to the central valley, I was truly impressed how the building has an industrial feel, yet the 100 year old building image seems non-exisistent since everything installed is new. I honestly think is a great space for tech companies from the valley and outside the valley to call their home and consider it as their space, and start rising with such a minimal and affordable startup cost for a luxurious office space, yet supplied with the generous amenities known to spoil the crowd from the silicon valley. I know first hand that the owners/managers of the building will go all out to help a new tech company startup and rose.
