All Weather Canvas

We were referred by a trusted local boat professional to «Bimini Bob» and Patti Logan at All Weather Canvas to replace the vinyl on our boat. When we dropped off the panels and seats to be recovered, Mr. Logan told us that it would be six weeks before our work was finished. We were satisfied with this time estimate. THREE MONTHS LATER, the job still hadn’t been completed. We were advised that Mr. Logan has special contracts with local vendors and frequently «back burners» work from «little people» to complete the contract work out of order. He never called; every time we spoke with him, WE called HIM. When the job was finally finished, we tried to negotiate with him on the price because they hadn’t held up their end of the bargain or even acted professionally. Not only would he not discuss the issue, but he refused to take my credit card or check stating that we would try to cancel the check or charge. We are honest, hardworking people; it would NEVER occur to us to do that. The fact that it DID occur to Mr. Logan is an indicator that it must have happened to him before. (Gee…I wonder why???) The icing on the cake, however, was Mrs. Logan calling me a bitch and Mr. Logan kicking me out of his shop. He wouldn’t even allow me to look at the workmanship. In the end, my husband got cash and picked up the finished pieces. What choice did we have??? Watch out for these people!

Bimini Bob is the best. in 2000 I took my 1991 Sunbird 23.7 cutty cabin to him to build a cover, and make a total canvas unit for my boat. What a job he did. I was very happy with his work. I used the cover and the enclosure for years, salmon, crabbing, and albacore fishing in Monterey Bay, Half Moon Bay, and Fort Bragg. Here it is 2012, 12 years since he built the units, and I needed some small repairs. The repairs were very minor. the clear window material had a couple creases (it was the way I folded the material) and the cover needed some repair from normal wear and tear.
Bimini Bob has completed the work. Not only am I happy, but ecstatic, with the job he has done. He is a professional.
I recommend Bimini Bob for any size job with canvas. He is very reasonable as well.
