I had dental phobia and severe anxiety sitting in a dental chair that’s why I have avoided dentist for many years until I stumbled upon DR salmon Rafailov an extremely professional curtious friendly individual that treated me like family and was respectful towards my needs and issues with fear of going through dental procedures, will definitely recommend to anyone, his secretary inna is a doll very sweet and knows her job very well over all beautiful luxurious office high end equipment and great staff thank you.

My wife Helga had an emergency with tooth pain and they were able to see her at the last minute. They even took her insurance. She came out of there pain-​free. She needs to go back for extra work, however she definitely wants to go back to him not our regular dentist. Thanks very much Dr Raifalov.

I visited the Bright White Dental Website last week after losing a filling and breaking a molar. I noticed that DC37 was among the insurances accepted. I scheduled the appointment through his website and received a confirmation email the next day.
Today (Tuesday, Sept 8, 2015) I arrived for my appointment and was seen by Dr. Rafailov. I was informed that he accepts DC37 Insurance but is not a participating Dentist. I was also informed that DC37 would pay «only» $ 250.00 for the required root canal and «only» $ 250.00 toward a crown and that I would need to pay $ 800.00 out of pocket.
Dr. Rafailov then brought up my 2014 Unilocal review in which I stated the dentists I’ve seen over the past several years were the worst and that my family and I returned to Bright White Dental because he was «the best of the worst» and then In my review proceeded to praise his hygienist, then his niece for «knowing where everything is,» «being very professional,» and «never letting us forget an appointment because she sends out post card reminders.»
Dr. Rafailov then logged into his Unilocal account to show me that he had responded to my 2014 review by no longer participating with DC37 and explained that DC37 does not reimburse him enough to cover his costs. It seems odd that the reimbursement by DC37 was sufficient the prior year that he performed a root canal (single post) and partial crown, that he is such a petty person that he would stop accepting DC37 Insurance because of a Unilocal review, and that he has any clients left at all.
Anyone that works for the City of New York should take offense to the actions of this petty little man and his petty practices. It was okay for you to treat DC37 members while you were building your practice, now that you’ve built your practice to what it is today you’re just to good to treat us poor Civil Servants. Maybe sanitation workers are not being paid enough to pick up your trash, maybe the Firefighters aren’t being paid enough to respond to an alarm at your practice, and maybe the Police aren’t being paid enough to respond to emergencies at your practice.
Don’t bother responding to this Unilocal post Dr. Rafailov I would rather my teeth rotted out of my head than to have you work on them, and trust me the $ 500.00 that DC37 would have reimbursed you would have been too much… I changed my mind, you aren’t «the best of the worst…» You are the worst of the Dental Industry because you run your business on greed, not on «providing a service to the neighborhood» as you stated in your rebuttal to my original post. Did you forget that you started out in Dentistry working on prison inmates.

Dr. Rafailov is absolutely the best, in every way! The office is in Queens and I travel here all the way from Staten Island to see him. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Rafailov and his amazing staff. Your teeth will be in the very best hands! We’ve been going there for a few years now, and very happy! He’s extremely knowledgeable, personable, and really takes the time to go over the issues with you and explain everything in a way that you can understand. I was there yesterday with my wife for cleanings (yes they are open on a SUNDAY!!! a huge benefit as I work crazy hours throughout the week). I can’t recommend this doctor enough.

The office is very clean, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that I had to wait over 20 minutes before I was seen however, the doctor did explain that he had to attend to someone who was having an emergency. The doctor is very friendly, knowledgeable, and knows what he is doing. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend!

I’ve been in pain for years, it started with an intense migraine, and little did I know my tooth had to come out. One of my relatives referred me to his dentist, Dr. Rafailov. In less than 15 minutes he was not only able to determine which tooth was causing all the pain, he removed it too. I can’t say how pleasant of an experience it is to have him as a dentist. I give him 6 stars, and refer him to anyone who even wants a consultation. He’s an amazing person who’s an even better dentist. Thank you Dr.

if you believe that all dentists are like Steve Martin’s maniacal character Orin Scrivello, DDS, from «Little Shop of Horrors»…then fear not, Dr. Rafailov is an amazing dentist who will take care of your shark teeth with care!
the doctor and his staff are extremely nice, patient, and work fast. no sass or commentary, just get in and work. always great with the reminder phone calls and note cards, plus they take emergencies in with ease. the office is modern, clean, and comfortable.
MOST IMPORTANTLY… they keep late hours a few days a week and are even open on Sunday! I don’t have to take time off from work to go! it always boggles my mind how we have a «service economy» yet too many services (banks, post offices, doctors) don’t keep hours that fit the working man/woman’s schedule. the office is on my way home from the carpool spot, so it’s convenient; there are a ton of buses on Union Turnpike if you don’t have access to a car.
almost all medical insurances are accepted here, and if they don’t have yours (as was my case), they will offer competitive pricing. plus, they accept medical flex-​spending cards (WIN). his website even offers some coupons!
if you live in the area and need dental work, check Dr. Rafailov out. I think you will be very satisfied, as I am.

I had been putting off some dental work because I don’t have dental coverage and I’d gotten a quote that was way over my budget. A friend of mine told me about this dentist and told me that I would get a free eval and estimate. The dentist was cognizant of my situation and took his time to explain the different options I had (some treatment was important for my dental health, other stuff was cosmetic).
He was also very friendly and kept cracking jokes. Either way, I got good work done and paid significantly less money than what I expected. I would absolutely go back and recommend him to my friends and family.

I am scared of dentists, so I was very nervous. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by a very nice receptionist the facility is bright and cheerful it looked like a lot of time and effort was put in to make the office look inviting. The registration process was very quick. Everything was in a timely matter; I didn’t have to wait more than 15 minutes. DR. RAFAILOV IS THE BESTt he came out to great me, the first thing I told him that I was nervous. I was really happy when he told me he will work at my pace, so I will be comfortable. It’s a top of the line new facility; everything was high tech it looked like 21^st century dentistry. DR. RAFAILOV IN UNBELIEVABLE, I LIVE IN BROOKLYN AND TRAVEL ALL THE WAY TO FRESH MEADOWS TO BE SEEN BY HIM. I was still nervous but he had the time by very quickly, I had practically no pain YAY!!!
