Beautiful Forever Dominican Style Salon

These females were racist. I had my hair tied up because I had just washed it and set it myself and all I wanted was a trim and a blow out because I didn’t want to trim it myself and the woman I spoke with with blonde hair was okay until she asked to see my hair and then all of a sudden decided to charge me $ 50 because she claimed they would have to do «extra work». First off I just grew my hair back from shaving the sides off last year so my hair is only down my neck and secondly her whole attitude changed once she saw my hair and assumed I was black so I will not have anyone like that touch me whatsoever.

I went to this salon in the beginning of 2015 and will Never ever go back to this salon. The lady with blonde hair is the absolute worst person in the world. I don’t know her name but I’m not talking about the owner. I am an African American woman and the whole time she did my hair she sucked her teeth. She is very rude and extremely nasty. She should not be working with humans if she has a problem with customer service.

I love what they did with my daughters hair! It was exactly what I wanted and she was so happy and looked so pretty I’m definitely going back to them for myself and telling my friends about them I got to get the lady’s name who did my daughters hair it was so quick and it came out perfect

I just came from getting my hair done there and I have never been treated so horribly in my life .
The fact is this, if your African American GO DO YOUR HAIR ELSEWHERE!!!
I wont get into too much details but the designated Uhm!, lets say African American (N) hair doer has bailed on them and the other ones there are not and I repeat NOT happy about doing any African American hair and she made it known.
She jabbed and yanked the hair in a ruff manner, almost giving me a headache
and at the end she started slamming the dryer and the comb every time she put it down
As if all of this embarrassment wasn’t enough the owner conveniently told me the wrong price at the beginning and pretended she didn’t understand English (LOL), OVER CHARGED…
on top of everything else, JUST HORRIBLE that some people have no shame, no honesty and no manners, to treat people in this way.
The owner has to find some other person who don’t mind doing African american hair but Im done with them.

Was Very happy with my haircut and blow out! The lady that did my hair, was not even Dominican, she was Ecuadorian. she was nice, friendly and funny! I definitely will be back, but will get my hair done by the same stylist!

Their sign says one thing but they don’t do it. They charged me $ 50. when in fact is should have been $ 30 as mentioned outside. I was asking her prices on the various things that they do and it was like she was increasing depending on the person. For certain people it seems like they lower prices but others they increase. I believe it was the owner that did my hair. I have had a far better experience in corona and they are much more fair. The owner kept on stopping my hair to talk. She did not even thank me for the tip I gave her.

This is my go-​to Dominican salon. Contrary to other reviews they are pretty friendly. I came in at 9 am and while a bunch of us customers were under the dryers someone came by and asked us all if we would like coffee. They are not unfriendly they are just moving fast and frankly I’m glad because I do not enjoy spending hours in a hair salon. There is never a wait here and while this salon may be more expensive than other Dominican hair salons the prices are still cheaper than regular salons and the results of their rollos and blow dry last a looooong time. They also don’t increase the price terribly if you have longer hair. They are reasonable. The last time I did my hair here, it lasted almost 2 weeks. So glad to have access to a good Dominican salon in Fresh Meadows.

My 6 year search for a good Dominican hair salon has (finally) ended. I moved to Queens about 7 years ago and the salons I have visited left much to desire. Enter Beautiful Forever. I found it by searching for «Dominican style hair salons» on Unilocal.At first, I was skeptical due to the mixed reviews. But my hair was in DIRE need of a makeover. I recently got a promotion at work and being that it was also Spring time, I wanted a complete «new beginning». I was initially just going for a wash and set but seeing how clean and how nice the equipment looked, I decided to get the whole enchilada-​color, cut, highlights, wash and set PLUS a deep condition. My ends were HORRIBLE. They fixed that. My hair was parched; they rejuvenated it. The color was exactly what I wanted. This is a mom and daughter duo. The mom colored and the daughter styled. It was a very long process but so worth it! Got in at 9:10 on a Sunday, seated by 9:20, left at 3:05. Whew! Some of the reviewers said the ladies had sour faces and yes they did upon my entering. But, once I engaged in conversation with them, they were actually quite friendly. And yes, I speak fluent Spanish. Would I recommend? Yes. Prices? I guess decent. I’m not sure how much the prices are now elsewhere. The total of me and my daughter’s wash and set was $ 223. I gave $ 77 in tips. I was recommended going back in 7 weeks and for maintenance. Yes, I will!!!

Ok so after a year I came back to see if they’ve improved or not, I wasn’t happy at all. First of all they’re acting like they’re DOING You a favor by doing your hair. They all have attitudes and my hair didn’t even come out as nice. And I was charged 30 $ when I brought all my products. If you want a good Dominican salon go to corona

It was really hard for me to choose between 3 and 4 stars here. I come here about 1 – 2 times a month. I adore the look of the salon and the high end hot dryers. For a Dominican salon the prices are a bit higher then I’d like. I live close by and continue to come out of convenience. Suli and her mom Luc over the year I’ve come have gotten so much better doing hair. Suli the daughter is the better stylist and blow out. Luc is getting better! Her mom did an amazing job getting the color I wanted and cut my hair short w layer. (I’m growing out a Brazilian blow out and have a lot of thin very curly hair. I’m Puerto Rican with a lot of frizz especially around the hair line). The last thing I’ll say is they can work on customer service. Their faces are miserable lol if you live around check um out don’t come out of the way I’m sure you can do better around your way.

I will give them 5 stars because they worked well with my hair and are very nice.
I have naturally curly hair. I went for blow dry and flat iron.
The lady took over an hour and normally my girl does it in 20 mins but she did good work so I can’t complain.
Parking is horrible. (This is obviously not heir fault) but I’ll mention it for those who drive. It is only one hour meter and the residential parking is always full.
Be ready to run out mid hair and add more to the meter if you get one of the slower girls.
There was a young hair dresser tall thin who worked super fast and did great work but she was with a customer already.
I will be returning!
It was $ 35 for a blow/​flatiron. No wash — I had already washed my hair.

The only reason why I went here was because of the prices, they where reasonable and where listed. Don’t have listed prices then charge me something totally off. I was charged extra, I asked the owner why and she said «it’s different prices for different people «not to mention they charge an Extra $ 10 JUST to flat iron my hair, you should tell a client that it’s extra before doing it had I’ve know that I would’ve stuck to my regular spot reactions on suphtin which only charges me $ 20 for a blow dry, flat iron included. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here

Went there today for the first time and I must admit for a small salon they definitely have higher-​end dryers, wash sinks, and all other styling tools. As far as my hair, it took 4 hours for them to finish my hair, which is a layered short cut and even though I loved the end result, they do not have enough stylist for their volume. After my relaxer was done, and my deep condition, the woman who cut and blow dried my hair couldn’t flat iron it, so I had to wait 35 minutes for the best stylist, Suli, to finish a girls nails. That was unacceptable. All-​in-​all, Suli and her mom can do hair like the back of their hand. Suli worked in my relaxer and made sure I wasn’t burning, and her mom layered my short cut and blow dried it to perfection! I would definitely revisit this salon, but maybe on a slower day!

I came in to get my hair fixed after I bleached the ends of my black hair to an orange color. All I wanted was a natural brown/​red color. I could’ve done it myself but I saw the prices on Unilocal and thought it wouldn’t be so bad. All she had to do was lift my roots a little and darken the ends. The woman who I believed is the owner/​manager was looking at my hair like it was the most difficult thing she’s ever seen. All she said was if I use bleach it’s going to be $ 100+. It got to the point I can tell she was inexperienced & I was gonna let her dye my hair black but I could spend $ 5 and do it myself. So I left.

By far the best Dominican hair salon I’ve been too. My hair is transitioning from relaxer to natural and it takes a lot for it to be tamed. The ladies here are very gentle and use good products. They also address any issues going on with your hair. I have excessive breakage and they recommended some treatments as well as daily maintence. All in all when I was done, my hair was straight without too much heat, soft and bouncy. Will be a regular for now on. Thx ladies!

I have had to go outside the neighborhood to get my hair done all my life. No more ! They are awesome. I couldn’t be happier. Us Dominican girls aren’t easily impressed and I was a bit uneasy trying someone new, but I was blown away. They did a great job on my hair and used high quality products. They do nails and have a barber here as well. I’ll surely do my nails next visit. I love one stop shopping. BTW they open at 9am not 7 and they have been trying to get that corrected since it’s caused a bit of confusion.

I have very dry, curly, over processed, frizzy hair; I’ve been to so many hair salons in Queens to only walk out disappointed and with a puff 20 minutes later. This place is amazing! Finally, my search is over!

I have gotten Brazilian straightening before and the last time was a waste. Not here it came out perfect! I have washing my hair and it relaxed my curls out and NO more FRIZZ!!! Yes!!! She and her mom are great they worked together to get me out as soon as possible! I can’t wait to go back! I’m in for life! Thank you so much for the great service! Go here with confidence! P. S. Today was my first time going to this salon and I will most def will be returning. They charged $ 25 for rollers and blow dry. I love how their dryers are attached to the wall and all the dryers are the «good» dryers lol. Usually you have to wait for that one because most salons have 2 maximum. The «good» dryer that I’m referring to are the ones that dry your hair in 30 mins! Place was nice and clean. They also do mani/​pedi and eyebrows. I like that they have dryers above the pedi chair, you know what that means! They do accept credit/​debt cards but there is a $ 2 fee, which isn’t terrible considering the place I used to go to started charging 6 plus tax (RIDICULOUS) especially for me because I NEVER have cash. Anywho! Nice clean spot, didn’t have to wait and they open at 7am! Can’t beat that especially if you’re like me and hate waiting. I hope you enjoy this salon as much as I did!

As a girl who never «cheats» on her stylist, I must say, coming to this place was a bit nerve wrecking. For years (10+) I’ve been going to my Dominican salon each Saturday for a fresh wash and set. I’ve been staying in Fresh Meadows recently with a friend and didn’t want to have to keep asking for rides home for a few hours to the Bronx. As hard as it was, I decided to try a few salons in Queens.
I went to one on Hillside and didn’t really care for the way my hair turned out… dry and pretty frayed looking. Another one I went to did a pretty decent job, HOWEVER, they used the dreaded flat iron on my hair after blowing me out. Way toooo much heat for my somewhat thin hair. Although it came out beautiful, I knew I would not be returning. The burnt smell of hair stayed in my scalp for weeks.
Finally, I Unilocaled this salon which is about less then 10 mins away by car. Came here for the first time on a Saturday and was the only person there. In and out in no time. My hair actually came out beautiful. I usually only have my roots blown out and have loosened pin curls. This gives body, but allows a pretty straight with body wrap down the next morning. I’ve only been here twice and each time my hair has come out pretty well done. I’m going here today actually once they open at 9am. One other thing to note, they do accept credit or debit (no American Express) but you will be charged an additional $ 2 for this. Pretty steep as I know some places that will tack on maybe $.50-.75 cents. This is the reason for my deducted star. Other than that, you’ll love these ladies!
