This was the WORST experience we ever had with painters. The work was atrocious. We had to hire another company to undo the damage, and start from scratch.

CHECKTHISOUT: After further investigation, it turns out the guy in the white outfit is actually«John Ellis», not«Paul Barthel». He used to have another painting company called American Painting with the same address. Prior Unilocalers called this guy out in the past but with the company name change I was thrown off when conducting the required due diligence. Paul Barthel is actually John Ellis’ son-in-law’s name so if you do meet this soft-spoken snake in the grass, realize that he’s not who he says he is. He’ll take your deposit, hire someone else to do the work, and then tell you your«standards are too high» when the job doesn’t come out anything near what he promised. For all their destruction, the team he sent to my home relayed that he uses an alias because he’s opened and closed his company under many different names over the years, has been sued multiple times, including having filed for bankruptcy. After connecting these dots, not receiving a penny for compensation for damages or being issued a refund despite he and I reaching a verbal agreement over one month ago, I’m forced to file civil litigation. His son Paul Barthel refuses to answer the phone, even though his name is on the company’s logo. The address to the company is actually to a private home. Out of all the trades I worked with on my brand new home, nobody was as deceptive and conniving as he proved to be. The new team I hired had to start from scratch and said it would’ve been 100x better had Barthel & Sons Painting never stepped foot in my home. Anyone who hires them is begging for trouble as their cheapest industry pricing is not worth the headache. For all this drama I could have painted the home better myself and caused no damages to premium cabinets and flooring. BYFARTHEWORSTEXPERIENCEON Unilocal!
