The best massages I’ve had were at this spa. I had everything they offered at the time and loved each one. They had nice refreshments, I had privacy, and I loved the historic building, it just added to the atmosphere for me. I really had fun with the mud bath! I also had really great customer service because I think I might have been the only one there at the time.

This spa is the best day spa facility in Southern Indiana — with that said though, there is for sure better ones out there. First I’ll get into the one main issue we had there, and then will talk about the actual facility and services. So I made appointments for my sister-in-law and myself… my sister-in-law was getting married 2 days later so i wanted to treat her to a nice pamper. Unfortunately, when we got to the spa, they had no record of our appointments. It was really disappointing, but I will have to say that the 2 girls at the front desk were extremely apologetic. Them and the massage therapists did everything they could to fit us in. We had to give up a couple services that we originally wanted, but I feel like they handled it really well and took full responsibility for their mistake. One of the massage therapists even offered to stay late to fit us in. They also discounted our prices of course, and then gave us full access to the pool even after the spa closed for the rest of the evening. Honestly, based on just their sincerity, I probably would have rated this a 4 star, regardless of them having messed up our reservations. So why the 3 star? This is all based on the services and facility itself. I’m a frequent spa-goer… I wouldn’t say I am a snob about it, because I have gone to all types of spas — the fancy/expensive ones, and also the cheaper/basic ones, but so I know which ones are worth the cost. Don’t get me wrong, the place itself is really nice, but for the prices they charge, I’ve been to better. One thing that stood out to me was that the tranquility room was more of an open lounge. The room itself was really pretty, but tranquility rooms are supposed to be intimate. It’s also supposed to have dimmed lights to go with the relaxing ambiance — this room was really large and bright. The entrance to the mani/pedi room was also in this room — but there was no door… so you can hear them chatting. that’s not tranquil to me. Speaking of chatting, my massage therapist would not be quiet. He was a very nice guy, but he talked the entire time. Yes, I know I could have told him to shut up, but the point is, I shouldn’t have to. I paid to get a massage, not listen to your life story. Afterwards, my sister-in-law said that her massage therapist kept talking too! Anyway, I don’t mean to bash it so much — like I said, the spa really is the best facility in the area. but when I have spent that much money on a spa in the past, my treatments have been top notch. West Baden seems to fall short in the fancy-spa category.

Lovely facility, the treatments are first class. Setting is clean with a serene ambiance. It does not receive a higher rating because the receptionists(s) are unfriendly, No eye contact or greeting when entering empty entrance area-on several occasions. No thanks for your business after you drop hundreds of dollars on services. No confirmation of appointment or return of phone calls. Again, the treatments are superb, but get rid of the«kids» in the front who don’t understand customer service and have no sense of how to treat clients who are having a special day. Update: the review has been up for weeks now, not a surprise that we have received no follow up from spa management or hotel management as to how our visit went.

Wow. This place was beyond amazing. It is gorgeous. You feel pampered just walking in. The ambiance was on point. Relaxing music, relaxing lighting, comfy chairs to wait in and a sauna in the changing room for after your treatment. We got the package with three treatments. The massage was the best I had ever had. Amber(I Think) was a magician. The worked out knots that other masseuse could not. Simply phenomenal. Next was the mineral springs bath. The hotel was built because of the local mineral springs and the bad is a detox. It was nice and relaxing. Ended with the wrap which included a yummy scalp massage and rest time in the sauna. I felt feeling like a new person. It was pricy but worth it.

This is a beautiful spa in the gorgeous West Baden Springs Hotel. The facilities are lovely, with a glittering mosaic design running throughout. Locker room fully stocked, with a sauna. Tranquility room with a fireplace and refreshments to enjoy before or after your treatment. There is also a pool and jacuzzi located below the spa(open to hotel guests). I had a sports massage with Stephanie, who is great! She has a good flow and technique to her massage. While not a true sports massage(those massages hurt so good), it was definitely relaxing and relieved some muscle aches and pains associated with long periods of travel in an airplane! I enjoyed the friendly service, the comfort of the massage room/bed, and the small touches(warm weighted blanket on my spine, feet wrapped in hot towels, etc) that gave the overall experience«oomph»(that’s a happy sound).
