Whole Foods Market Fremont

Small store. They don’t always have what I am looking for and the staff aren’t as friendly as I have met at other Whole Foods locations. The parking lot is a disaster — no one ever collects carts since they are strewn everywhere making it difficult to park. Only go to this store when I absolutely have to.

I start work at 8 am and I’m sure many so, have WF consider of opening earlier like 7:30 am to make the customers and me happy having their delicious breakfast and coffee before going to work? Like I said I work at 8 am so sometimes if I’m lucky, I can be there 8:30 am so I could make it quick to get my iced mocha but then I noticed the baristas are busy making drinks for the WF employees, not that I’m complaining but just I’m on a time crunch. Can they order before the store opening? And last, is there any reward for getting drink daily? I used to attend Starbucks daily but now I liked WF better but no reward. :(Thanks again for hearing me out

Cane here for lunch and their salad bar and lunch stuff to go never disappoints! Clean and easy to pick from a plethora of tasty homemade food!

Really nice ppl working there. Always stocked and clean aisles. There is a beer garden and they make their own smoked fish n bbq stuff! Their Dosa at the food area was awesome but too bad it was replaced by burgers n fries. Maybe it’s seasonal and it’ll come back. I enjoy eating there. The outdoor seating expanded and it’s nice.

This place is amazing. It gets 1 star dinged only for the crazy prices. But such a great selection and you can’t beat the lunch selections. Just tried a few of the bakery cake items and they were on point! Parking is a little cramped but just allow extra time.

As far as Whole Foods goes, they have a pretty awesome formula that works. My husband and I wandered in looking for breakfast, and they had a good selection. Mushroom omelette, bacon, oatmeal, etc. The salad bar was open as well for those of us who aren’t big breakfast people. Bonus.
And, don’t judge, but perhaps we had a little breakfast drink– the beer/​cider/​wine selection is pretty stellar. Can’t go wrong with Common Cider.
Apparently they even have a wine bar open in the afternoon.
Would’ve loved to have had the sandwich bar open. Only request– because having a fresh made sandwich in the morning to go is wonderful.

I couldn’t get to the City this past weekend to see my friend Migs at Papalote in the Mission to pick up jars of his gobsmacking salsa. He recommended that I should check out Whole Foods in Fremont to get them there. Alas! They were! I picked up two jars of his serrano chili and roasted tomato salsas and a jar of his chipotle salsa for the road back to SoCal! It was a win-​win!
It’s a great addition to the Central Fremont area.

So yes, it is a little pricy here and the parking lot kinda sucks because I’m finding that it’s almost always sort of packed, but I can’t deny their stuff is good here so I’m gonna keep coming back for more!
For the most part, I can pretty much count on their baked goods. I love how you can get two pieces of desserts for $ 7. It really does seem like they use only the finest ingredients when making their desserts because I can totally taste it. For example, I’ve had several versions of the German Chocolate Cake and my goodness, theirs is delicious! It’s the right amount of sweetness. Now, this isn’t a baked good but it is something sweet, and that’s their Belgium Chocolate Milk. If you are a chocolate lover, try it because the taste is super premium and smooth!
Also, I love their hot food section and how they provide you healthy alternatives. I always get their turkey meat loaf because it makes me feel less fatty.
Anyways, you got a loyal customers in me when it comes to this place so I’ll be back soon.

Oh and you really need to extend the beer taps so the servers don’t have to stand on their tip toes and reach so far. Someone is going to have a serious ergonomic injury and sue you.

The employees here are just so nice. It was raining when I stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and it probably contributed to the lack of a huge crowd. The store itself always make me feel like I’m in a quality supermarket. While not as large as Cupertino’s location, they carry my peach Noosa yogurt, garlic knots from the bakery, and all sorts of organic produce.
I came in to buy blueberries, apples, and yogurt. Completely forgot they carry Three Twins ice cream! I spent a while perusing the hot cooked food area. Lucky me– they just brought out a fresh tray of mac and cheese! Oh so tempting. The guy in front of me had the same idea and got his portion before my turn. Grab your ideal box size and load it up. $ 8.99 per pound of food? Or was it just for salad …
Omg I loved the peppermint chocolate alfajore cookie in the bulk cookie stand @$ 10.99/lb. Refreshing with the sweet taste of semisweet chocolate. Oh the regrets of only buying one. I was disappointed they didn’t have chocolate dipped Madeleines available. The toffee cookie I got was good, the M&M one was hard!
So many delectable desserts I had to turn away without even taking a photo. My issue is the garlic knots. At $ 1.99 each they’ve shrunk to half their original size! Nice how someone can warm them up for you though. Pizza is self serve at 2 for $ 6. Use the wax paper sheets near the slice boxes.
As for coconut water, the more pink stuff in it the better! Antioxidants? Something like that.

Cookies, pies, desserts, cheese, fruit, meat, fish, pasta, rice, organic, gluten free, vegan, less sugar, it’s all here! A bit pricier than your average grocery store but there’s quality and a whole bunch of brands that will seem unfamiliar, until your next visit, that is.
Cheerful, friendly cashiers! Omar helped me out and asked how my day was. Turns out the day I went was an inventory one. Shift ends at midnight? Yikes. The whole check out process was a breeze. After I got to my car, I noticed I was double charged for a hot food item. Once I explained the situation, a prompt apology and refund were given as soon as Omar explained to both me and his manager the system had been having double charge errors the whole day. Did I mention most of the many open lanes only had one or two customers each? Almost no wait in line! While that’s not always the case, it was pleasant.
I’ll be back in the future.

Another solid, new-​ish WF store. Maybe not as big as say Los Altos or Cupertino or SJ Alameda. But still has the shiny new paint type of feel and is well organized with the space that they have.
All the standard WF amenities are present. Well stocked produce, fish, meat, cheese and grocery sections. Also the prepared foods section with various hot foods, sandwiches, pizza, baked goods, etc. They even have a beer/​wine bar here with some food options as well.
As per standard WF experience, I have found the employees generally cheerful and helpful.
Happy to have this close to us!

When all family members has abandoned you for international travel, what’s a person to do for a Thanksgiving meal? I can’t possibly bake an entire turkey with sides to feed 2 people! It would mean I would either waste food and/​or consume way too many leftover calories. Probably the latter would happen since I can’t stand wasting food. But cooking was not an option since I didn’t own the right tools to bake a turkey. So, Whole Foods to the rescue.
What’s cool about Whole Foods was their hot food section had the whole Thanksgiving feast-​shebang To-​Go! Early TG morning, I found myself with other people seeking a hot meal for dinner. I was able to scoop up 2-​peoples worth of baked turkey, gravy, mash potatoes, salad, mac n cheese and cranberry sauce. They provided these handy giant foil tin pans to stuff as much food as you wanted into them. When I brought it home, the meal looked like sad cafeteria food but you know what? It tasted good! Really really good! At $ 8.99/lb, it was worth every penny because it tasted just like Thanksgiving.
Home cooked meals (cooked by family members, not by me) is preferable but if abandonment happens again during the holidays, I can always count on Whole Foods for a banging good meal.

I like to come here on occasion if I’m feeling fancy or want to just explore and try new foods, or if I’m feeling bad about my terrible dieting. My coworkers like to make a joke and call it «Whole Paycheck» because it’s pretty expensive, overpriced. The items just add up $ 5 bucks here and there and now my check comes out to over $ 50. Eek.
It was probably enough groceries to last me 3 days honestly. Maybe even just 2 days worth and I am shopping for 1. Most of it cheeses, crackers, and some vegan, meat substitute stuff from the refrigerator section.
The upside. I love that anything I buy here, I won’t feel guilty for consuming; it being mostly Non-​GMO/​organic and what-​not. I also like the specialty foods that you wouldn’t get elsewhere. Like the cheese selection, hot deli, and bakery. I bought some antipasti and it was like 10.99 or so per lb! Had to be real careful not to pack the container.
Really fancy shmancy grocery store but the quality is 5 stars. The price 3 stars. WAY TOO expensive. Like I said I typically only go here when I want to spoil myself with some goody yummies. I’d like to shop here more often but I’ll just go to Trader Joe’s down the road where it’s a little more affordable. And honestly you should not feel scared or worried about your bill when you hit the check-​out stand.

This place was really good to me the other day.
Last Wednesday, Bay Area public transportation was not on my side. Le fiancé had to borrow the car, so I decided to take the free Stanford bus I kick myself for not taking more often. The way there, what should have been a 45 min bus ride took an hour and a half. On the way home, it took upwards of two hours, with a nasty old man hocking lugies the entire time behind me. I tried walking the .8 miles home from the Bart, but my feet were killing me at the end of a long workday.
I tell this semi-​long tale just to put into perspective what a truly awful mood I was in when I walked into Whole Foods last week. I probably looked just as good. I decided I needed to just sit down somewhere and would have le fiancé pick me up, I didn’t particularly care where. I would have sat on a street bench but couldn’t find any.
And then, like a light emerging from the 5:30 PM darkness, I saw Tap Alley. I walked over, curious, and the world’s friendliest bartender walked me through all of their selections. I was so happy. I opted for a Lagunitas on tap and a cheese plate. The Lagunitas was crisp and refreshing, the cheese fresh and hand picked, a delightful mix of manchego, Brie, and a few other selections.
So thanks Whole Foods, for making my Wednesday a positive one last week. My fiancé thanks you too, for elevating my mood 1 032 112 308 231% before he picked me up. I will definitely be back.

This is a great location if you’re heading home from Fremont Bart. The parking lot can be a sh! t show when it comes to entering and exiting off of Mowry, so I can’t give it the 5^th star.
I love everyone that works at this location. I appreciate that the meat and seafood guys are super patient when I’m struggling to figure out what I need for the particular recipe I’m trying out for the day. The floral department is always so friendly. The people at the registers are usually efficient and helpful when there is a long line. Lastly, there is always someone to help at the customer service desk when I’m turning in my Strauss dairy bottles. Any time I’m in line and there’s someone returning something, there’s usually someone else that pops in to help me fill out the voucher for the deposit redemption. Love it!
I usually go early in the morning before the lunch rush so I can avoid the lunch time crowds. It’s always neat and clean, and I never have a problem with items being out of stock.
Yes, some items can be pricey, but I shop around to know what to get and what not to get here. For example, Sambazon Acai frozen packs are $ 2 cheaper per pack at Fresh & Easy. But I never go cheap when it comes to my meat and seafood. The quality is just so great and consistent here.

So what’s with the running theme that Whole Foods always has this smell of fish wafting through the air when you walk in?
With that aside, this has been my go-​to store recently. I feel like Goldilocks when I visit most Whole Foods locations, with either being totally cramped, or gigantic like an auditorium. This one is just right, spacious without being an arena, and not a little gum ball sized store.
I find that parking is easy if you go to the right-​hand side, and usually find a spot right up against the building. Then again, I have some awesome parking karma, so it could just be me.
Courteous staff, nice clean store, special bonus points for getting coupons in the mail for moving in the hood. (Whole Foods has coupons, who knew?)
My only advice to Whole Foods, if something smells bad… like for instance, fish … throw it away!!! Perhaps we should call it Hoarder Foods instead of Whole Paycheck.

The store is smaller that other locations at mountain view and stevens creek.

I’ve been spending half of my time in Newark this year, getting firmly reacquainted with my old stomping grounds. The Tri-​City area has definitely come up in the world since I moved to San Jose a little more than four years ago.
When I was growing up, this area was an empty lot where they sold Christmas trees every year. Now you find Whole Foods, Boudin Bakery, See’s Candies and a bank. Parking here can be tough depending on the day and time you show up, but at least you can get a charge while you shop if you own an electric car.
I’ve gotta say this Whole Foods is much, much better than my local Whole Foods store in Campbell. The Fremont location is spacious and you’re not hit with the overpowering smell of fish as soon as you walk through the door. Also impressive for me is the area up front where you can get a pint of beer or a glass of wine. They have the usual prepared foods area with sandwiches and burritos, but unlike the location close to my home, they also have the «daily dosa» spot where you can get masala dosas made to order. The demographics of Fremont may have something to do with that, but I appreciate the variety to be sure.
Aside from being super clean and brand spankin’ new, all the employees seem much friendlier here than at my usual location. I still wouldn’t want to buy all of my groceries here as that would be prohibitively expensive, but I would definitely come here to pick up beer, wine and quick eats.

I love Whole Foods. There isn’t much to say about this chain of stores because you either hate it or you love it. If you hate it, that just means there’s more space for me to shop in. If you love it, then I recommend their tomato soup, Horizon’s whole organic milk, and just about any of their cheeses with that rosemary flatbread.
I remember when the closest one to Fremont was all the way in Cupertino. My brother would bring me there so that would could pick up lunch at the hot food bars. We would grab a few other drinks and snacks and then drive all the way home to enjoy it. Thank goodness for this location in the heart of Fremont! But I’ll pretty much go to any WF because they’re consistent despite geographic location.
