This place is lowkey and a great place to relax and get away from it all. I’ve never had a problem. Amy is an absolute SWEETHEART :)
Also, they are puppy friendly and have a bowl of water and treats waiting for your furry friend. Love going to this place after walking my dog.

The diviest of all dive bars!
Takes cash only, has cheap drinks, Rita is generous with her hard liquor, and the people always seem eager to talk and if you are open to it, you can kill a few hours chatting up the locals. 2 Pool tables, dart games and on Thursday there is amateur karaōke to let loose after a few shots.

This is really fun place to have good time. Specially bar tender Rita is really cool. We played pool most of the time which is not really crowded. Recommend this place as lot my friends become regular customers!!! Cheers!!!

Nice dive bar with darts, 2 pool tables, and a couple of arcade games. The drinks are cheap and the staff and regulars are friendly. The only real drawback is it can be a magnet for local crazies, which can either be really entertaining or really irritating. Mostly the latter.
Tips… it’s a cash only bar, they have an ATM though. The Chinese restaurant next door delivers to your bar stool, so drink up because their food sucks.

Love love love me some Rita!!! Coolest bartender ever! That’s my girl! And Mike runnin Karaōke on Thursday nights. That’s when to go! Good times! Not lookin for a bunch of fake people trying to impress everyone. Just some real good ones and a few drinks and some good tunes. That’s all.

If you like slipping in the back door, then this is the place for you! It’s a local watering hole in the heart of Little Kabul (Centerville.) The staff is friendly and so are the regulars. It’s a great place to pony up to the bar and enjoy your favorite libation while chitchatting with the bartender and other patrons. Rita and Amy are great bartenders.
They have a couple of dart machines, two pool tables, a pinball machine, and a some kind of hunting video game if you have a hankering to kill something. They also have a modern digital jukebox if you want to get your air guitar on.
There is no kitchen, so chips and beef sticks are about the only thing on the menu. Food from the outside is permitted. If you’re really lucky and perhaps tip well, Amy might be so inclined as to make you an awesome grilled cheese sandwich. But don’t count on it. :)

Pro tip: The lounge is not visible from Fremont Blvd. Turn right onto Parish Ave. and left onto Jason Way which dead ends into the parking lot.

The backdoor is a cool place to hang out the bartenders are friendly and the drinks are well poured. Rita and Amy are alot of fun to chat with and there are pool tables. This establishment is cash only but does have an ATM. Updated 12÷2÷15 Morgan is cool too !!

This place is an old school local dive bar. I feel the crowd here is older here than Mojos down the street, but this place has a charm all it own. Drinks kind of taste funny, place kind of smells but the people are friendly.

A fun dive bar! Atmosphere varies from loyal regulars to first timers. Pool tables, Dart boards, Chess, Pinball, Games & the jukebox defiantly keeps you entertained. Karaōke nights and occasionally there is live music…

I made a dumb joke when ordering beer and the bar tender yelled at me «of course we have beer. This is a bar.» Other than that being mildly funny this place is a waste of time. Unless you like sitting on plywood and the most awkward people in town.

This is a great local bar. Cheap drinks and a great staff. This is a drinking bar. There is no B.S. here. Nobody cares who you are or what you do. Good stories, bad jokes, pool tables and a juke box. This is what a bar should be.

This bar is decent if you just wanna hang out with friends, grab some cheap drinks and sit outside to smoke and chit chat. They have a juke box that you can pay and select 3 songs to play, nothing brand new but pretty decent stuff. The bartenders are nice, patrons are decent, but beware of the bouncer; my friend got hit on by one of them and he would not leave her alone for the whole night, kinda creepy.

The bartender was really polite, the environment is pretty chill n calm, roomy. Not to mention they have a jukebox u can preselect your songs from but I didn’t get the chance to see what songs it contains. In the back is two pool table n gameplay is 3 quarters each which is not bad at all. The Pool table is in descent condition. Beer starts off 3.75 n mix drinks is 7. I don’t mind coming back at all. =P

Don’t be weary of the name, as it did me, way back in the day. They really only have one door and it doesn’t open to the front street, but rather the back parking lot. Hehe, me and my imagination.
It’s a dive. In its purest form. No hip factor, no youngsters doin’ Jagerbombs, no i-​phone check-​ins here. Just a drinkers/​smokers hangout. An honest working man’s watering hole if you will.
This place does have a place in my memory, even before I even took a step into this place. About 10 years ago some buddies of mine got together for a going away party on a weeknight at another dive across town. I left early that night only to hear the stories that unfolded throughout the night/​morning.
This was the place where all five members of the group last recollected being together as a group. The next day everyone had a different story on where they ended up, ala the movie The Hangover. To my disbelief, the stories included jail time for one member, grass-​stains on the other guy’s clothes, waking up in a strange couch with a strange dog on his chest was another’s story, while two different victims both had blisters on the back of their index fingers due to some burns.
I’m just glad that I left early that night and did not contribute to the mayhem. But a couple of drinks here while I’m waiting for kabobs or pizza from the neighboring businesses, that I will be a part of.

It is a typical dive bar. Its a cash bar so make sure you bring cash. Its a vet bar so be prepared to hear stories. First bartender was very nice. 2^nd bartender was 1^st nice but by the end of the night she was pretty rude and not very friendly anymore. The regular patrons were friendly only other bummer was that money was taken out of my purse. I would probably not go to this bar again.

You want a dive bar — it doesn’t get much divier than this. No ambiance, lots of smoke, wizened oldies at the bar, jukebox playing random music from every decade, no draft beer (unless I missed it?), pretty friendly bartender, pool tables, shuffle board, chess, a book exchange (seriously?), and boxes of beer bottles in the chairs. It’s pretty much love it or hate it depending on what you are after.

Bar gotta feel to it alrite, nothing on tap, all bottle but ice cold which is a plus, kinda reminds you of a saloon when inside, jukebox got some older beats, cigarette machine, you can smoke inside just remember to ask if it is ok, i think there was 2 pool tables, a shuffle board and some other random things. hella random dive bar, really chill and laid back
funny thing: «there is hella seamen all over the back door haha». literally they got seamen pictures by the bathroom haha.

Not much to say… unless you are looking for an old little bar, where you don’t give a crap about what it looks like, get a weird look upon entrance and a bitchy bartender.
Even if I got all free drinks, no thanks.

There’s a small semi-​hidden sign on a Halal market on Fremont St. that says, «Back Door Lounge: parking & entrance in REAR». Feeling that we just stumbled onto something very cool and otherwise hidden from the main street, me and the boys decide to investigate.
Anyways, we come in through the back door to some Phil Collin’s «Take a look at me now» playing on the jukebox.
Nice.
Inside there’s a wall of portraits of military vets past and present in their uniform, who are all probably regulars now. The guys at the bar looked like some old school vets as well.
A more appropriate song given the Back Door’s ambiance might have been,
«Take my breath away.»

This joint totally reminds me of a bar that you’d probably see in the movie Top Gun. It probably hasn’t changed interior and crowd wise much from the 80’s either.
If 2 pool tables, a pinball machine, a golden tee and big game hunter arcade game, $ 3 dollar beers, a rose in a brown Budweiser beer bottle on the counter for ambiance, and a most military vets crowd doesn’t want you to come here then I’m not sure what will? Maybe if Tom Cruise aka Maverick makes an appearance.

I’ve been going to the Backdoor bar in Fremont for a few years now. The coolest thing about this place is the fact that it is completely hidden from the street. In fact, you enter through the back, away from Fremont Blvd. Hence the name.
That’s right: you have to really look for this place to find it. I love that fact.
It’s a sleepy little place that is a total trip back in time to the 80’s or even before. It has a strange yet charming air of benign neglect, with an unused, dusty old shuffleboard table in a pretty big lounge area with lots of seating… and nobody sitting there. All the regulars sit at the bar.
If you go at a certain time during the day, you will see the same regulars over and over. They are a funloving lot, congenially bantering in a good-​natured way. Drinks are honest and not expensive. Like a good dive bar, this place seems to be very conducive to getting drunk.
The only reason why I am knocking off a star from a five star rating is the fact that this place seems to really change on weekend nights. We took a taxi, and our taxidriver almost got into a fight with a biker who was standing outside the bar. The police even got called, and said biker was hauled away. It’s a much rougher place at night.
I don’t think this is a fluke, because the same thing goes for the Mojo Lounge right around the corner. It’s also a nice, congenial, slightly rowdy working class bar during the day and early evening. On weekend nights, it seems to a bit more trouble.

I liked this place a lot better before they changed ownership.
Before there was a whole ceiling of decorated dollar bills above the bar. Now they’re all gone, and although I really don’t know why, that did irritate me. My favorite bartender, Sherry, used to be my main reason to go back there. The suggestion was never «Let’s go to the Back Door,» it was always «Let’s go visit Sherry.» Now she apparently works somewhere in Hayward; these days the drinks seem to cost more and I have to work to get a conversation going. It also felt like I didn’t see the old «regulars» anymore and the «newer» crowd I’m not used to isn’t as friendly. I do agree that it is extremely convenient to have takeout so accessible.
I haven’t written it off entirely, but I wish things were how they used to be.

The Back Door is one of those old school neighborhood bars that Dad went to. The regulars are always warm and welcoming, as are all of their bartenders. 2 pool tables, GREAT juke box, darts and pinball.
On the wall are photos of military veterens (in their younger days) who have been and are regulars of the Back Door.
The Back Door was originally owned and operated by Richard Gubera, the owner of Gubera’s Pub in Newark.
Want grub while there? Next door is Yuk Wah (great Chinese food) and the Hogie place. which by the way makes the BEST fish and chips in all of the Tri-​City area, for sure!
