SMB Tech started as an idea to bring large corporate technology methods, services and infrastructure benefits to small businesses and individuals at affordable rates. We therefore assembled a team of seasoned veterans in complimentary IT fields to provide the same level of security, organization and best practices know how to businesses and individuals who could otherwise not afford this level of technical expertise.

I called this business today and Brad answered the phone. My 9 year old Dell laptop was not recognizing the AC Adapter, and I did some research and it needed a new motherboard. When I told Brad the issue, he was very honest and told me it’s better to get another computer and also gave me all sorts of good tips on where to buy a good laptop.
Even though I didn’t do business with Brad yet, I did ask for his rates for future references. All in all, his honesty really stood out and that’s something any service-​related business should be proud of.

Brad is one of those rare techies who are downright honest, helpful and highly competent! Just as his shop is a hidden treasure, he is a rare find in the predator world of repair jobs.
My XPS Dell crashed with important documents in it. He discussed the problem with me, gave alternatives and laid out a plan of action. In less than a week, the system was up and running with all the data recovered! And this at a very, very reasonable cost. As a bonus, he gave valuable advice on what works well in the market out there.
I’m so thankful Unilocal directed me to Brad who restored my system to the best it could be, given the circumstances. Spread the word!

My hard drive fried! Ouch. Brad worked on it and worked on it. He got every bit he could, and then gaive me advice on my options beyond that. He did general clean up and maintainance on the older Dell desktop, and when I suggested maybe it was time for a new computer he told me this one still had a few years of life left.
I found him to be very hard working, trust worthy, and cost conscious. His prices were very reasonable, and by being an independant, there was no upselling, or pushing of any specific products. All the advice he gave me was around how to keep my costs low while protecting my machine.
He has won my loyalty and I hope he wins yours too so he can stay in business for a long time to come.

My laptop had a problem in which the monitor screen would not work; it displayed nothing but a black screen (but the computer worked, as I tested by plugging in an external monitor). Compared to sending the laptop back to the original company for repairs, the price is significantly cheaper.
Brad and his colleagues who were in charge of fixing my computer were quick, and explained all the processes and gave a detailed analysis of the computer repair and etc.
I’d recommend this place as a reliable and resourceful computer repair shop. Communication with Brad is also convenient.

i have a 5 year old dell laptop that still worked fine up until a month ago when i couldn’t even get it to boot. i was prepared to get a new one until i looked up pc repairs on Unilocal.smb stood out above the rest in the fremont area so i gave them a call. they are centrally located in fremont not far from the hub.
i dropped off the dell with brad and within a day he called me back to tell me what the problems were and explained to me the pros and cons of repairing the old unit vs. buying a new one. turns out there were some corrupt files from not shutting down the laptop properly over the years. the fan was also crapping out as well. brad got my laptop working again and i didnt lose any files. i’m aware that i really lucked out in not losing any files but more importantly i appreciated brad’s honesty and eagerness to explain things in simple terms. if you have any pc or laptop issues that you cannot resolve, don’t hesitate to let brad take a look.

Convenient hours!!!
I work in Walnut Creek and must be on the road at 7:30am. When i saw that this place was open at 7:00am i was floored. I dropped off my computer and within a couples of days it was fixed! Very knowledgeable IT guys. Finally a place/​person i am able to go to and have a peace of mind knowing my computer problems will be fixed and my wallet won’t be BROKE.

This team of techies is amazing!
My computer had a virus that completely took over my system and deleted all of my files. And like taking a car to the mechanic, i was reluctant to get my computer fixed for the fear of getting f**ked in the wallet. You know how that can be.
Brad took care of it and now its running like new. The service from the first phone call to the pick of my machine, is thorough, honest and expedient. I always felt important, and that my needs came first.

Brad was very accommodating and professional. He agreed to let me drop off my desktop early in the morning before I went to work so I didn’t have to re-​arrange my work schedule.
I utilized his services because we had purchased a new home PC and needed to migrate everything over from the old desktop to the new one. Now this doesn’t seem difficult unless you have ever tried to move an iTunes library with over 5,000 files. Brad was great and always communicated with me on what he was doing. He ran into one issue with our files and made sure to call me before I ended up driving over there to let me know he would need a little more time. He was also helpful in advice on home networking stuff and anti-​virus programs.
I will definitely be using SMB in the future for any of our home technical needs. The pricing is very reasonable, the service is outstanding, and not having to deal with it myself helps keep my blood pressure down. ;) I would highly recommend for anyone who needs a «helpdesk» for their home needs.

I have a old Dell laptop that had trouble with booting up. I didn’t want to get a new computer since I just use it for the «basics».
Found SMB on Unilocal and called. Got a quote over the phone and they even pick up and drop off your computer for you. Now that’s great service!

My Windows 7 notebook computer had a very subtle networking problem that was tough to find. Several people had tried, to no effect. Brad and Robert were able to solve the problem quickly. Their personal service and expertise can’t be beat, and the charges are very reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone with computer issues.

Brad is a total professional! His passion for what he does and his pride in doing every job as well as it can be done is reflected in the work that he does and his company does for every customer. I came to SMB with a severely infected computer that was unusable at a critical time for my personal and business work. I just had Brad repair my daughter’s laptop. They picked it up and brought it back the next day. Finding a good home PC repair place is like trying to find a good auto mechanic and I felt like Brad/​SMB knew what they were talking about and offered very fair prices. That’s all you can really ask.
Upon returning my computer, he even stayed and helped me connect it to our home wireless network for no extra charge.
