The level of incompetence displayed at this pharmacy continues to amaze me each time I visit. For the past few months, I haven’t been able to just pick up my prescription and go – they always screw up something. If this pharmacy wasn’t so close to home, I would never in a million years come here. I can’t say the customer service of the clerks and cashiers are much better. Avoid coming here if you can.

At STARBUCKS, there is a young clerk named ZANE. He is rude, unprofessional, and was gossiping about another coworker while making my drink, which he didn’t make right. I will not be back, while he is there.

I used to live right around the corner from this Safeway. They have a nice location and great selection of fruit and vegetables as well as other brands for shelf foods. However, I do feel like they need to open up more check stands on the weekends because long lines at 1 or 2 check stands are a common sight here. Other than that, everyone here is friendly and parking is super easy with a big open lot out in front.

Pros: amazing staff from deli department, managers(such as Trevor), cashiers and even in the bakery department. Meticulous when making sandwiches or their sushi. Quick service but there is always a mini rush for them around lunch time. My go to place if I didn’t bring lunch and don’t want fast food or eat at a sit down restaurant. Cons: slightly higher prices than other grocery stores

Make sure you check your receipts. They mess up their price all the time. The checkout price is always inconsistent with the tags for promotion items. And when you try to get the problem fixed at customer service, you’ll have to wait like forever. Oh, to echo one other review, I also found the yelling bagging man a little annoying, and I am glad that someone point that out. But I think it’s the manager’s responsibility.

On my way to home and that’s about it. Meat section is bad. Seafood section is pathetic. Customer service sucks! There’s a retarded worker who always screams out what you are buying! So freakin annoying and disrespectful! Seriously, why is he in the front bagging yelling out the items we are buying ??? And because he’s mentally challenged we are supposed to let it go? Uhhhhh, no! He is rude and offensive. Plus the quality of food is below standard. I learned my lesson. Only come here if you are desperate to get frozen food. Other than that, I go to whole foods, Raley’s or sprouts.

I went shopping today and spent over $ 50. The two guys in front of me were given bunches of the Monopoly game cards. They bought snack foods. I was given one. Go figure! Not too happy with this type of service. The clerks there are not particularly rude but act like they don’t care.

I am very tired of grocery shopping but even safeway grocery delivery sucks. They are always out of stock on something and recently left half my order somewhere. Still waiting for refund. In this location please make those $ 5 valentines day cupcakes an annual thing. Also it is annoying when the lady cashiers socialize too much and it delays speed of line. However manager here is cool & nice. Whats his name? Starts with m. I forgot.

I had the worse experience at this particular safeway. Usually I go the one in Newark because they are very friendly here. Sunday night my husband and I were shopping and he had wanted to get a mylar balloon that was in the flower department. As he tried to move the potted orchids get the balloons, he knocked over 2 of the small potted orchids. Immediate the«evil chinese florist» came with her broom, and she gave us dirty look. My husband tried to help her pick up the glass pot and she never even once said, «maybe you shouldn’t because you can cut your hand. She let him pick up the pot and then again gave both of us a dirty stare. I said this is a accident and she looked even more annoyed. I told her«okay, I will purchase both of the plants since the pot broke. She handed a potted orchid to me and told me to tell the cashier to ring it up to 2 of these. She was so rude. After walking around the store I thought«this is not a chinese place, do you really«BREAKANDYOUBUY» that so China town. Sure enough when I went to the cashier and told him what happened he said, «yes, you break and you buy». Never knew safeway operated like that. It is our fault that we broke the potted plants. However, the«evil chinese lady» should not have been so rude and let customers pick up glass off the floor. That is just crazy. That is the last time I am shopping at Chinatown Safeway. «YOUBREAKYOUBUY!!! « Evil chinese lady at the florist department!!!

Waste of time. Worst Safeway I have shopped in. Fewer choices than other Safeways in the area and incompetent staff, too. After one cashier screwed up scanning my little, three-item purchase THREETIMES I left it on the counter and WALKEDOUT.

Giving this location a 3-star because no matter how many times it happens they still let it. After about 9 or so, don’t go here because there will only be one cashier. They may call over the intercom but nobody ever comes to help. I like the help I get during the day, it’s great. I understand companies can’t pay a lot of people to be on the clock at non busy hours but a lot of time you have longer lines at night than you ever do during the day. Btw. Seafood salad at the deli counter is the best. Definitely try it.

If I am not living next to this store, I will not visit it at all! This happens all the time. Anytime around 9pm, the store has only 1 cashier. The line is hugely long, but never see anyone shows up to help! Today there were 3 ladies just there enjoy their conversation and till line was almost reach to the door!

You know when you’re out on vacation and instead of checking out the city at night, all you wanna do is head back to the hotel and watch reruns of Fresh Prince and eat cookies? I thought so. After a long day of sight-seeing, we dropped into Safeway to grab a half gallon of milk, some donuts and other munchies/beverages. I noticed upon walking in that there was only one register open and a line was starting to form up. I didn’t think much of it and continued through the store. Through the overhead intercom, I heard that their system was down and they would be up and running soon. We got in line and waited some 15 minutes or so. It appeared that the register had begun working again. Three, maybe four customers were helped. But then it died again. I busied myself with US Weekly and People, reading about Ben and Jen’s failed marriage as well as stuff about Princess Charlotte. Hubby came by and said we needed to go. We’d been waiting for over an hour. I guess my highly educational reads, coupled with the reward of donuts and milk back at the hotel, was enough for me to turn a blind eye to the horrible customer service that was ensuing. In situations like these, if the store cannot do manual transactions, or even cash transactions, then they should continue to notify the customers waiting in line that it might be a while, or close the store temporarily. But no, the manager, or whoever was in charge that night, was holding a phone to his ear for ages without getting any answers and no announcements were being made on the intercom. By that time, the line had become 15+ people long and customers were leaving their loaded shopping carts and exiting the store. We eventually did the same but I actually put our groceries back where we got them from(curse you, OCD tendencies). After that time suck, we ended up going to the 7 – 11 next door and grabbing the same stuff and were in and out in less than 3 minutes.

Being stuck in traffic on the way home on Mission Blvd. is the worst! I was starving and knew there was no way I would make it back to San Ramon with out eating my own arm. So I came here to stop and rest from traffic and then get something from the deli. They had a nice looking Apple and Brussels Sprouts Salad and a side of Chicken Tenders. I only wanted 2 Chicken Tenders and the guy pretty much forced me to get more because they were on sale. I didn’t want more because I was going to be in my car for so long. The Brussels Sprout Salad was terrible. I would kick who ever invented this salad in the shins. It consisted of pretty much hard stem ends of the Brussels Sprouts. They were hard as a rock. It was impossible to eat. The only being that could have eaten this would have to have been a low land gorilla. Sorry I don’t have the mandible strength to chew through raw Brussels Sprout stem ends. My one joy from this visit was the Iced Americano from Starbucks, which is located inside this Safeway too. I took the rest of my now soggy Chicken Tenders home for my kids and didn’t even eat more than one bite of the salad. Bleh!

Bad customer service! Ordered my daughter’s 16th birthday cake. When we were ready to cut the cake, it was someone kid’s 4th birthday cake and it was not even the cake we ordered! Basically they screwed up two different family celebrations! When I went to talk to the store manager, he had no remorse and on the top he said since I did not bring the cake back, nothing he can do. He was so bad that he did not say sorry even once. I will never order cake from this place ever again!

Yea, I never liked Safeway. It just seems so dreary whenever I come in, and I think their prices are a bit higher than Luckys. I just feel so Lucky when I’m in Luckys. Anyway, I just came into this location for a Starbucks Coffee at around 9:30 a.m. No line. Great! Coffee wasn’t what I asked for. Sad! I didn’t have time to go back and ask him to fix it. The pastries at this Starbucks don’t look yummy at all. I know Starbucks markets their pastries like they are from Paris or what, but they really taste processed and«fake». Sadly, I still eat them.

Safeway stores are usually the same. The difference is in how well the store is run and how nice the staff members are. The staff here are usually pretty nice and the store is pretty well stocked for the most part. The only time I’ve ever seen them run low on things is on New Years Eve when we tried to get champagne… For obvious reasons lol. However, I did feel like sometimes the check out lines are really slow and really long at certain times of the day. When will this location have self checkout?

All of the safeways have a great selection. This is the newest store in the area. Prices are up there, I only shop here for deals. I like the app, but it needs to work when there is not a connection. I’d like to be able to look at my list when I don’t have a wifi/cell connection.
