My husband and I got tattoos from Ron a few months ago. This was my first tattoo and I was extremely nervous… On the way there, I was thinking I probably was going to back out. But Ron was SO nice and checked in with me every few minutes to make sure I was OK. My husbands tattoo is AWESOME, so detailed, and Nick incorporated some amazing tribal designs which give it such an awesome meaning as it was for his dad who just passed. I’ve been so a few other tattoo parlors with friends and I’ve never really felt the awesome vibe I did here at Mainland Ink. Alllll the artists are extremely kind and want you to feel at home.

By far the best tattooing experience I’ve had! Came in with an idea for Regina, and she took the time to further research the emblem I wanted done AND presented me with three different versions of her design to choose from. Everyone at the shop was extremely friendly, professional, welcoming and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back and get more ink done!

My cousin and I decided to get matching tattoos for our birthdays, and we came in during September and got an appointment with Ozzy! He is absolutely excellent — he was incredibly clean and he quickly helped my cousin design her tattoo and helped me figure out the perfect placement! He helped design Sanskrit tattoos, even though he doesn’t write/​read the language! The tattoos turned out excellent and he was so calming and helpful throughout the entire process (because we both were freaking out)!
A few months later, my cousin decided that she wanted to fill in her tattoo and make it completely solid instead of the brushstroke version she initially got, and Ozzy agreed wholeheartedly and agreed to do it, even though most tattoo artists would probably say no! He even agreed to touch up my tattoo and make it look even better.
I would definitely recommend looking into his work and talking to him about tattoos because he is absolutely excellent!

I got tattooed the other day by Regina. She is amazing! Her tattooing skills are impressive along with her skills as an artist. She is very friendly and easy to sit with for 2+ hours, which you dont always find with artists these days. I was sifting through Unilocal awhile ago which led me to her instagram and i was floored by her pictures. I knew i had to get something done by her. I gave her very little to work with and she created a beautiful piece of art from it. She made sure to tell me that if i needed any touch ups to perfect it, it wouldnt be a problem (not that i think it needs any though). The other guys in the shop were nice as well, everyone seemed approachable. I will definitely be going back for more pieces.

I came in with a friend today and we each got small tattoos ($ 60 each). Ozzy was super nice and accommodating. I was pretty nervous because the tattoo I wanted was on my chest, under my collarbone but he assured me that it would feel the same as any other place (this is only my 2^nd one). He really made sure we liked the sizes and placement and gave us tips on where they would be best. Our tattoos came out perfect and we love them! We will definitely be back soon.

I walked in today without an appointment and Ozzy helped me as soon as he was done with his other client. I had an idea of what I wanted, but he gave me great advice on size and placement. He seemed very knowledgeable about how my tattoo might work with future pieces and how it would age.
The actual tattooing process was quick and I’m really happy with the result. Overall, Ozzy was super nice and I’d be happy to go back. Mainland Ink also has great prices.

I love this place! All the artists I met so far are friendly. The shop is also very organized and decorated really nice. They also have great music taste which I love because it helps out getting through tattoos.
Anyways, I’ve only been tattooed by Regina (@inkbypush on IG) and she is AMAZING! She is beyond creative. She’ll be tattooing and randomly thinks of little details that would make the tattoo stand out more. She’s done 3 of my tattoos so far and I love them all! I love love LOVE her dot work. She also has a very fun vibe which is great because it made me feel comfortable during all my tattoos.

I cannot rave enough about Regina and every artist I came to interact with at Mainland. Shop is extremely clean! All artists are extremely diligent about sanitation and their tools. The vibes in the shop were nothing but positive.
Before even making profit, Regina (@inkbypush on Instagram — this has more recent pics of her work) was so informative and patient. She is great with email inquiries. She created for me an amazing black work piece of sweet pea flowers. Her dot work, shading, and lines were nothing short of precise. The final product is perfection and I couldn’t be happier with my friends experience and work of art.
Regina has a gentle hand and a great personality! She made me feel super comfortable and her work is absolutely unreal. I LOVE my tattoo and can’t rave enough about it. Thank you Regina!

I stumbled upon this place because my brother and I were going to get matching tattoos and we were getting a really small piece. I’ve been calling familiar shops that I’ve known and been going to and friends that also go to asking how much would it be and if they could do walk ins because we did it last minute.
The first place we wanted to go was by appointment only which was really close to were we lived and the other place we called that was our second choice was too expensive just for a tattoo smaller than a size of a nickel.
So we looked on Unilocal for ratings and there only one that stood out was Mainland. So I gave it a try and called them first asking if they did walk ins and how much for a really tiny piece and they said the minimum would be $ 60 and we decided that was fair. Thankfully they were able to squeeze us in. The guy that helped us was named Ron and he was a sweetheart. It was my brother’s first time getting a tattoo so he was a little nervous and very picky and indecisive with the tattoo he wanted. But Ron was totally patient and understanding with him and took real good care of us. He made sure that if the placing was okay or if it was too big or whatever. Basically what we wanted, he did it for us. It wasn’t awkward with him at all. I believe we all had a good time sharing stories and laughing and sharing some personal stories.
Now, I can’t say much about his true art work because all I got was a semicolon and four characters in kanji but I’m totally and completely satisfied with what he did and I’m sure he’s one hell of a artist if you get worked on by him with a bigger and more complex piece.
Although, this place wasn’t our first choice I’m super happy it all worked for the better. And I’m definitely coming back here for a bigger piece when I’m back in the Bay Area.

My sister & I were feeling spontaneous since it was my birthday & wanted to get tattoos. By default, since we live in Fremont, we went to Inkies first. The stuck up person working at the front told us that they no longer take walk ins on weekends so we decided to check out the spot that took over the original Inkies location – Mainland Ink.
We were welcomed right away by all the artists in the shop. THE PLACE WAS VERY CLEAN. The artwork displayed had really Bay Area vibes, which I appreciated. My sister asked if they would be able to do something small for us with a budget of $ 120 & Ron took us in without any hesitation like «Hell yea we can do $ 60 each let’s do it!» That made me so happy & excited. There were two other people getting some pretty hardcore tattoos done like full sleeves & all so I was a bit embarrassed to admit we just wanted a small Winnie the Pooh & Piglet tattoos but Ron was just as stoked as I was saying he loved Winnie the Pooh too. (If he was pretending, he was really good at it & I appreciate the reassuring customer service.) What I liked about Ron in comparison to my experience with artists at Inkies is that he does want to build a relationship with his clients. The artists I had at Inkies never really talked to me at all. I truly felt that Ron wanted to know more about me, what brought me to Mainland Ink, why we’re getting that tattoos & if we want/​have any more. He even asked if we ate anything all day & when we said no, he gave us a bag of chocolate so that we could take our mind off the pain while we were getting our tats done. Ron even made sure he completely broke down & cleaned his station after I got mine done/​before my sister sat in even though we were just getting small tattoos done & explained to us the importance of preventing cross contamination, which was professional of him.
Ron specializes in tribal tattoos & was explaining to us all about it when we expressed interest in getting Filipino tribal tattoos done in the near future. He was able to ask about our family story a little bit & tell us what tribal symbols we would need on our tattoo, which was cool. He definitely knows what he’s taking about especially since he’s covered in Korean & Filipino & Polynesian tribal tattoos.
Ron did an excellent job with my request on making our tattoos look like it was straight out of a pencil sketch book. I really wanted to avoid having a kiddy tattoo that looked like a press-​n-​peel sticker & he definitely was able to add that edge to our Winnie the Pooh & Piglet tattoo with that vintage, storybook feel that I wanted. My sister & I were very pleased with the size, texture, illustration & overall result of the tattoo especially for the deal he was able to give us. When we left, he even gave us a hug & a significant thing that made me feel very welcomed & gain my full trust in this place is that unlike at Inkies, Ron did not make us wait while he counted our cash in front of us to make sure we paid him in full amount. I always found that insulting at Inkies & I was glad to see that Ron & my sister & I had built a good relationship that day.
Looking at the other artists who were there, they were all super chill & funny & also very talented. There was even another artist who was reading literally over 5times his client’s script tattoo & made all of us read it to make sure he didn’t mess up any grammar or spelling (#NoRagrets). My sister & I enjoyed our time with Mainland Ink & will definitely be coming back. Thanks Ron & Mainland Ink! See you again soon!

Got a tattoo here recently from Regina Push! I found her on instagram and loved her work! From the moment I contacted her she was super helpful and had great communication. She helped me decide on the exact tattoo design and got an appointment for me really fast. She was patient with placement and color selection and and her work is amazing. I would absolutely (and can’t wait) to get another piece done by her! Best tattoo artist I’ve met, hands down.

Got a tattoo from Regina (Push) and it turned out amazing. The detailing skills she has are incredible ! We worked on the placement and different color options until it was perfect. Having an artist that is willing to put in the extra time to make sure the client feels comfortable and confident is so key in getting a tattoo.
I discovered her through some artwork at my local vape shop and checked out her Instagram and was sold. I am a huge fan of detailed single needle work and Reginas is some of the best I’ve seen.
Once I come up with an idea for my next piece I will be right back at mainland ink.

This is an amazing shop filled with talent! I recommend Regina. She is very creative with high attention to detail. With a gentle touch my work is beautiful and feminine.

If you want a tattoo done you better come here. Regina/​Push turned my thoughts into a great piece. I sent over a couple of pictures I liked and she drew up the best tattoo for me. Lots of tattoo artist have a specific style and rely on their own ideas with little room for change. Not that it needed much but if I had a detail change I needed she made it perfect. She owns my whole left arm (no joke)! She does everything quick with great detail making sure all is perfect. She’s super funny and makes you feel so welcome. Great person with great intentions. You won’t leave disappointed. Not going anywhere else. (Great at cover ups too!)

Push is one of the best artists in Bay Area, and mainland ink is a hidden gem of a shop in the east bay. I’ve gotten tattooed by Push twice, my friends have been tattooed by her, as well as my brother and now all his friends. We refer everyone to her. Very clean practice, beautiful original work, great communication, and most importantly, I’ve only ever seen badass beautiful tattoos leave her hands.
Long story short, go to mainland, all the artists produce great work, and like I’ve never seen anything but beautiful work from push, the same goes for the rest of the shop, in all the times I’ve visited the shop I only see quality gorgeous tattoos. A+ grade in my book.

I got my first tattoo here last Sunday after searching around for tattoo shops in Fremont. I had mine done by Regina/​Push. She was amazing from the initial email up to the preview of the sketch and the whole tattoo experience. I was a little nervous at first but the shop’s atmosphere and everyone who worked there had such a hospitable and friendly demeanor I felt comfortable right away and my nerves were gone instantly.
I can’t wait to come back for my next tattoo! I highly recommend this shop, Regina is awesome and is very talented, she can really create a beautiful work of art through her sketches. Check out this shop and its artists if you’re planning on getting inked.

If I didn’t say it was my last tattoo… then this would the only shop for all future tattoos! My husband and I both got one done by Regina Push two weekends ago and are so thoroughly satisfied! (I would upload the photos but they’re not on this comp, however they’re on Regina’s Push by ink instagram along with other amazing art).
The studio has thee most amazing vibe– very chill, relaxing, CLEAN, welcoming, and fun! You don’t even need to bring your own headphones if you want to zone out (from the pain or whatnot), you’ll find your body naturally bobbing to their upbeat music.
Although Regina was our tattoo artist, the other workers were just as sweet, GENUINE, and talented! haha in fact, in the interim waiting time, two of them gave each other tattoos (and it only took like 15 – 20 minutes). And they are all such great conversationalists and will make you feel right at home. By the way, the primary factor that stood out about this place is the SPEED + ACCURACY. I have 10 small-​medium pieces done by other artists and this one was by far the fastest for the intricacies, but the quality was even more superb. Regina told me it was done only by a single needle (crazy!).
The price is seriously more than reasonable. Thank you so much, Mainland ink you guys are awesome.

I have yet to go to this tattoo location yet, but did get my 2 tattoos from him at his last tattoo shop back when he was in San Jose in the Summer of 2013.
I was in a transitional point of my life and have been wanting a tattoo for quite some time. I found him on Unilocal,set up an interview with him, and set an appointment to get my tattoo. Sometimes you can’t plan a tattoo. you just have to go with it. Kenny Brown was the best person to do that with. From one artist to another, I respected his artistic talent and immediately trusted him at the time I first met him.
With that said, I did not know what I was getting tatted on me until the time my tattoo was completed! From just my interview, he captured who I was in the person and what I wanted it to represent. He definitely exceeded my expectations with the symbolism intertwined with the sentimental meaning of the important people in my life to the person who I am. My tattoo was 3 ½ hours long and was on my left shoulder on my back.
My second tattoo was a month later where I wanted my next tattoo to represent my adulthood and independence. It was my shield as an independent woman! Again, I trusted the artist he is and was insurmountably ecstatic about the outcome. This piece was on my outer thigh resting a couple inches above my knee to right below my hip.
This was definitely an experience with Kenny Brown who is an overall beautiful, down to earth person, genuine, and keeps it real. No matter what part of your body you get tatted, he is professional and makes you feel comfortable checkin in on how you’re doing.
It’s been quite some time… but I will definitely be in for another tattoo when my new chapter soon begins!
