This beautiful and spacious campus includes eight large classrooms and secluded play area for children ages 2 years to 6 years.
The Irvington campus offers learning spaces indoors and outdoors. Indoors, the classroom are spacious and filled with natural lighting. The classrooms are designed to meet the needs of the child, provide structure, and promote concentration. The attractive materials allow each child to take on an enthusiastic role in the building of an intellectual and independent self. The materials inspire interest and encourage children to learn at their own pace through self-teaching materials, observation, discovery, and interaction with other children.
Children will be introduced to and advance in areas such as math facts, phonics, writing phrases in cursive /script, poetry and the richness of expressive language, understand the concepts of earth, water, continents and countries, and use an extensive vocabulary for botany, biology, and cultural concepts. Lessons are provided individually or in small groups to promote the child’s independence, concentration, academic development, and social skills. Children will also be engaged in arts, music, Spanish, and movement.
The outdoor playground provided opportunities to study the natural world face to face. The playground is fenced for security and safety. The play structures provide opportunities to explore and have fun. Along with natural light, the tall trees provide natural shade for the children.
History
Established in 2008.
Learn and Play Montessori School opened it’s first location in Fremont in year 2008. Behind LAPMS was 15 years of montessori experience along with passion for teaching and love for children. There are currently four beautiful campuses of Learn and Play Montessori School in Fremont and one in Dublin/San Ramon.

Manager
My name is Yvonne Lam and I am the Site Supervisor/Director at the Irvington Campus.
I have been working for Learn and Play Montessori School for last seven years. I was previously the Director at the Peralta Campus.
My background is in Digital Graphics and Multimedia but I also have my degree in Early Childhood Education as well as training in the Montessori philosophy of teaching. I became interested in working with children because of my grandmother who was also the Director at a Preschool. The passion and enthusiasm she had for working with her students inspired the hands on approach I take with my students.
