Ms. Jaynes is an incredible lady and I could not be happier with her advice and services. She helped me out while in a very stressful and confused time in my life. She will respond to e-​mails at all hours of the day and she even made herself available on a day that she was not supposed to be taking in clients. I hired Lorna Jaynes between 2010 and 2011 to help me with a divorce that had been well prepared on the other side since at least 2007. Sadly there was no room for conciliation but there was ample room for involvement of the children and escalation of costs.
Lorna was efficient, practical, highly professional and her help was invaluable especially at times when I had a hard time figuring out right from wrong.

I had not heard of collaborative divorce until my (ex)husband and I were looking to divorce. He had stumbled upon the concept. And I thought it sounded worth trying. I am so glad we did! I found it to be less stressful and hostile than I’d feared divorce to be. Everything was up front and out in the open. Lorna helped me every step of the way. Even now that it’s done, custody questions still come up that she quickly answers. I don’t know what I’d have done without her help. She is fair and knowledgeable. After dealing with a bunch of money hungry shark types of attorneys who did not actually care about putting my children’s best interests first and spending thousands of dollars on much overzealous litigation I met and retained Lorna Jaynes services. I wish I had met her sooner. She always looks at the situation objectively and tries to come up with workable real world solutions that are fair, appropriate, and realistic without trying to extract every last penny from your bank account. I highly recommend Lorna to anyone who is tired of all the double talk, price gouging, unfair, self serving, predatory attorneys trying to make a quick buck by stroking the legal system and prolonging the nonsense and hassles associated with already difficult situations. If you are a bitter vindictive single mother trying to alienate your children’s father from their lives then you might not appreciate Lorna’s approach. Honest, professional, intelligent, knowledgeable, sincere, diligent, and compassionate… other legal professionals should take some tips from Lorna on how to conduct themselves and actually solve issues while encouraging their clients to do the right things for the sake of their children. Simply put, Lorna is the best in the business.

When my (ex)wife and I decided to divorce, we needed someone who knew how to file the legal paperwork. Most of the self-​help stuff we found was not helpful, wrought with «see form blah blah blah», and probably written by a Vogon.
We hired Lorna to do the legal paperwork and answer a few procedural questions for us. My (ex)wife and I already negotiated the terms of the divorce amongst ourselves and didn’t need a mediator, so most of the terms were well understood ahead of time.
Lorna was very helpful with the paperwork and even brought up a few points we weren’t aware of for assignment of property and rights post-​divorce.
She was transparent and fair about billing. All of the billed amount was accounted for, and she was very prompt about returning the left over deposit.
There’s little about a divorce that doesn’t suck, but at least the legal matters were quick, easy, and understandable thanks to Lorna’s hard work and expertise.

My ex-​wife and I saw Lorna for our (amicable) divorce, on the reccomendation of a friend who had seen her for the same.
We found Lorna to be very personable and understanding — which took the edge off of the proceedings since, even an amicable divorce requires a lot of paperwork and is stressful. She helped us feel very at ease.
She also helped explain all the technicalities to us, from terminology to common processing times for forms and procedures. That helped a great deal since California’s processes are rather complex. She even went out of her way (uncharged) to help check on some of the processes.
She also went over the divorce agreement with us in detail to help divide up our finances, and helped find a less-​complex solution than the one we’d initially suggested.
Lorna made a challenging time a lot easier on us. We were glad to work with her.
