I’ve been doing Zumba for 6 years now and Javier is one of a kind! He is an amazing dancer and always has new and fun choreography to share with his students. His energy is infectious and he provides a great workout while being fun and encouraging. I can’t say enough good things about Javier. I drive from Livermore to attend his classes in Fremont and Hayward! He’s that good!!!

The best Zumba instructor! He’s like the energizer bunny– he doesn’t stop! Whenever I attend his class, it’s like a party.

The best Zumba teacher. Very sweet kind and loving to all his students. He tells you there is no right or wrong way to dance — then he starts the music and for an hour you move. I burn 500 cals in a class and I don’t jump skip nor shimmy. But it is all fun. I take his class at 24-​hr fitness on Fremont blvd and the class is always packed. You pay for your spot 2 weeks in advance. It is crowded and some 6 ft giants crowd around him so you can’t even see him to be able to follow– but luckily he moves around and finally you can figure out the moves. Really people you are 6′ tall and you have to stand in front? Sometimes I get a glimpse of the moves in the mirror but it’s not like you can follow the front people since they don’t know the new moves either But it’s not Javier’s fault there are knuckleheads in his class –
Javier is so good — his class is worth it. We are lucky to have him teaching.

Let me preface this review with, I have a LONG history of dance, both stemming from the love of dancing as well as being in organized dance throughout school ie school dance troops in college and high school cheerleading/​dance team.
When I first met Javier, I thought wow, a male teacher. This should be interesting. Being older and now a mommy, I’ve always had the love for dance, but my clubbing days are over. Javier has seriously brought me back to the days where I used to go dancing with my gfs, without the environment of being at a club. He reminds me how much fun dancing and working out can be. Seriously, you think Zumba can’t be a workout then you haven’t taken his class. He is probably one of the few if not the only Zumba instructor who gets me out of breath half way through.
This man is amazing in technique, style and his music choice is awesome! Now if only I can get him to sub at a super sport instead of that 24hr previously Ballys.. He would really make this girl happy!

I am a work in progress and thought I would be out of place in his class but Javier is wonderful. His class is full of energy and is a lot of fun he is so encouraging. Its always have a great time and get a good workout

If you’re interested in having your sweat seep through your workout clothes and becoming healthier, he’s the ZUMBA instructor for you. I remember when I first took his class, it was so fun! He definitely makes sure you get your money’s worth. His songs are catchy and the dance moves are so fun! Also, he’s so positive and full of energy!

I’ve traveled far and wide doing zumba all over the US and Javier is a shinning star you must experience. Intense workout disguised in exhilarating fun I can’t help but smile from beginning to end. Javier clearly LOVES what he does. You haven’t experienced zumba till you try his class!

I have been working out for 3 years, never lost any weight, but when I joined Javier’s Zumba Class, I started to see the difference in weight & also my mind set. I do not want to miss his Zumba class, There’s so much of energy in the class, Everyone’s actually enjoying the class along with the workout.
He”s such an amazing instructor, full of energy, passion, enthusiasm & the entire class gets motivated by his energy.
Javier is super duper talented guy, I never thought work out could be so much fun & Joy, I have a Gym membership but I prefer paying some extra money & get my Zumba work out done.

Javier is FANTASTIC! He is so energetic, and, most importantly, he is extremely talented at Zumba dancing. I haven’t done Zumba consistently for a long time due to ongoing foot issues, but I hope to return some day. When I do, Javier’s is the only class I’ll be interested in attending. He just exudes and inspires so much fun and joy in his Zumba classes!

Javier is the best Zumba instructor I’ve had, and I do a lot of Zumba. I have a gym membership, but I take his classes at a local studio (and pay the extra money) — he’s that good.
I have a dance background, but you don’t need to be a dancer to enjoy his classes. I love that he doesn’t use the same choreography every week; he’s always changing and challenging you to do something different.
Highly, highly recommend his Zumba classes!

I have been taking Javier’s Zumba classes for only the past few months. I have a dance background so I know a great instructor when I see one. Javier’s classes are high energy (he moves very quickly) and he brings that Latin flavor to another level. Students new to Zumba, or to his classes, will find that he is welcoming, professional and modest. He is also funny and his classes are never repetitious so you will not be bored. I recommend getting to class early to get a spot in the front.
Also, there’s times when I feel like stopping, but he motivates me to keep going… definitely that extra push I need. And I admit, I am always watching the time when I work out because I want it to be over and quickly — but with his classes, I don’t keep track of time, instead, lose track of time and just can’t get enough (and that would be my only complaint)!! Be ready to be challenged!

Javier is the ultimate Zumba instructor! Excellent class each time, no doubt you will come out of his class drenched and feeling great! Great work out all the time. My sisters and I are all hooked attending his classes. Highly recommended!

Zumba classes with Javier is definitely the ultimate workout! I enjoy his choice of music, his steps are easy to follow and his classes are always fun!
Javier is the best zumba ass-​kicker! He pushes us hard and at the same time, blends in other steps for newbies. Since I started following him, I have toned up my muscles and my cardio endurance has increased.
I would highly recommend him for Zumba and those who invited to his classes are hooked!

Javier is with no doubt a great teacher, dancer & person! I’ve taken his class multiple times and (because it’s worth it) in multiple locations; his teaching style is worth the drive.
I feel COMFORTABLE in his classes, normally in a «fitness» class you get the impression the instructor wants to be finished as fast as possible. Also the people he attracts to his classes are great, everyone enjoys the music selection, the moves, his personality & positive energy.
If you are looking for that one instructor you would like to have help improve you life & health, Javier is hands down the man for the job! Ciao!

Zumba with Javier is a great experience! I take his classes at Symbolic Dance & Fitness is SF.
He is an amazingly talented dancer, and is able to break down the steps so everyone can follow along. Javier’s fab dance style and fun attitude make his classes fun and 100% inspiring. I am not a good exerciser but these classes have changed my attitude about exercise and being active. Thanks Javier!
