I give 1 star for this place only because of the female receptionist who works in the front. She is really rude and don’t know how to talk to the patients. I usually go to the one on Mowry, but this is really close to my work. I will never come to this location. The rest of the stuff is really friendly, but her. I recommend the Mowry location then this one.

I have to say that I am so happy my office referred me to Dr. Isaac. Kristy at the front desk was so nice from the moment she answered the phone with a smile to the moment we said see you next week for a root canal. Lol. She got me in to see Dr. Isaac immediately and worked with my schedule to get me seen right away. She made me feel very comfortable and was very friendly.
I could’ve stayed there all day just chatting it up and laughing with Dr. Isaac. I felt like there should’ve been an extra charge for the comedic relief. He was hilarious and so easy to talk and even with the jokes he was still able to relay his diagnosis in an extremely professional way and in a way I could understand. You never expect to enjoy your visit to a specialist because that means it’s a more invasive procedure you’re going to have completed rather than what a general office can do but I genuinely enjoyed my visit.
And last but not least, Katie the dental assistant did a great job as well. X-​rays can be uncomfortable and dig into you but not today. She was very gentle and got the X-​ray she needed the first time.
I highly recommend this office!

I waited a good hour to have a consultation. When the dr finally came in he took
Maybe 3 minutes on me and said my tooth is damaged and there was nothing he could do for me. The front desk lady said I prob damaged the tooth myself not very nice. I don’t think I will be going back.

I am grateful that I was referred to him by R. Michael Alvarez D.D.S. He and his staff do exceptional work and make me feel like family member.

Dr. Isaac and his team are simply wonderful. The care I received when I was referred there for my root canal was superb. I had two visits including the one today for the actual root canal and I feel so much better. His entire team is wonderful and I would highly recommend them.

This review is based on the root canal I got on Monday.
Dr Isaac and the work he does is absolutely amazing. When you walk in his office there is a wall with cards that his patients sent him. That tells me 2 things:
1. He made such an impression that his patients actually thought to send him a card.
2. He has patients who would think to send a card rather than write a nice review on Unilocal.They’re old school which means Dr Isaac is old school– he’s been around for a while which means he’s experienced in his field.
I was completely traumatized by a previous dental experience. So much that I began to have anxiety attacks when it starts getting close to my next dental appointment. Not horrible attacks but not being able to sleep the night before and shortness of breath. I didn’t know what to expect with Dr Isaac but I was referred to him by my orthodontist and anyone would have been better than going back to my old dentist.
Dr Isaac is so funny and friendly he made a great first impression and immediately put me at ease. Plus he’s kind of older (but not too old) which means he has had years of experience, doing the same procedures day after day, year after year. That is really what I wanted because the dentist that traumatized me was really young and I felt like a helpless lab rat, being experimented on. Anyways, its been 5 days since my root canal and everything is fine and dandy. No pain, no swelling, I was able to eat solid foods from day 1. In fact I had korean bbq right after my root canal (chewing on the other side only of course). :)
The procedure itself was really quick and painless, it literally felt like 20 minutes but I didn’t check the time before/​after so can’t be sure. The assistant rubs your arm when he numbs you up which helps. They put some oxygen/​gas mask on me and I’m not sure what that was supposed to do, maybe help me relax? I was totally expecting to get high and see pink elephants but that didn’t happen. Bummer.
I highly recommend Dr Isaac to anyone who needs a root canal. I really wish he could be my general dentist and do all the procedures I would ever need.

My old dentist referred me to Dr. Isaac’s office. I went in for a consultation, but Dr. Isaac informed me that I would need to have my wisdom teeth extracted before he can continue with the consultation. In the process of searching for a dentist to perform the extraction, I was introduced to a dentist that just opened his practice in Fremont. To be brief, a modern, component dentist performed my root canal therapy and wisdom tooth extraction. As a college student, I did not want to pay for a specialist because for most routine root canals, a well-​trained general dentist will have as good a success ratio as an endodontist. Also, going to a specialist in any discipline, does not guarantee you success either. It only tells you that the person has been trained further in a particular discipline.
My dentist was not able to take out one of the roots and three months later, I decided to give Dr. Isaac an opportunity. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was not friendly and unpleasantly asked me what my name is and to have a seat. While waiting, I could hear everything that was going on and there is zero privacy as everyone in the waiting area can hear you voice your concerns to Dr. Isaac. I was waiting fifteen minutes after my scheduled appointment, and just as I was about to leave, another unpleasant employee called my name. The first thing she said to me was «oh, I see you kept cancelling appointment.» I literally wanted to run out of there because I could not stand the employees and tacky décor. Finally Dr. Isaac appears and tells me who worked on my root canal and immediately becomes defensive. He continues to ask me in a condescending manner who this dentist is and where his practice is located. Yes, my old dentist did refer me to you, but I am not obliged to see you, it is perfectly acceptable that I explored my other options. While I am awkwardly sitting in the dentist chair, he is there explaining to all of the ladies that work there, including reception, what I did. I mean, I thought you were a specialist, clearly you are not asking the opinions of others on what to do, you are blatantly gossiping in front of me. Finally, he tells me he cannot treat my tooth and dismisses me. In other words, he can’t charge me full price for a root canal because another dentist completed more than half of the work. But I digress, I should have listened to my instincts from the beginning and should have left this unprofessional, avaricious establishment!

Love this place! Crazy that you could say that about a dentist office and I surely hope that I never have to go back inside the serene office with the cool Hawaii pic walls and even cooler old nautical stuff (like the giants metal old school scuba diver helmet) but the reason this place is awesome is that Dr. Isaacs and his staff are all PROS! The harmony in which they work is amazing.
I felt like I was a Race car and they were the Pit crew. If you know about racing then you know that the Pit crews have to be all on the same page and the TIMING has to be impeccable.
That is the crew at Dr. Isaacs. They specialize in Root Canals so obviously they do tons of them and you can tell by how smoothly they work together.
Also, Dr. Isaac is super friendly and makes you feel at home/​relaxed. It sucks getting a Root Canal but if you have to get one this place is the place to do it at!
He even personally called me the next day to check on the how i was feeling! Awesome service all the way around!

Dr. Isaacs is a nice guy and his office staff is very kind as well. I didn’t actually end up getting work done here, but I did have a consult and considered the option.
What I liked: easy to get in, great customer service, financing options
What was slightly less awesome: still pretty expensive if your insurance isn’t stellar, the actual consult took about 5 minutes. I have had 2 root canals done elsewhere and those consults were far more detailed and the conversations therein involved much more explanation.
Since I knew that paying for a pricy root canal + crown in cash wasn’t going to be super feasible for me, I am leaning more heavily towards extraction (it’s a molar and broken anyway).

All I can say is wow!!! The best dentist experience I’ve had by far.
I’m one of those people who really afraid of dentists, and Dr. Isaac and he’s staff were amazing they made me feel very comfortable, even make sure to call the next day To check on me!!!
I wish all the dentists were like him :)
If I’ll ever need another root canal or implants i’m definitely not going to think twice.

My regular dentist sent me here for a little serious work. The office staff is great. The procedure was explained and Painless (pun intended :-)
Four stars for now even though saying «yay! I’m a fan» in regards to someone who crawls in you mouth for two hours or so on the first date seems a bit odd;
I recommend them!

I was referred to Dr Isaac by my regular dentist since an old root canal appeared to have left part of the root and needed to be reworked. A fairly intricate process which took a couple of hours and 6or7 x rays to confirm success, but Dr Isaac and his team helped make my visit painless and relaxing. I was very impressed by the professionalism and communication between Dr Isaac and the two assistants… They seemed to know exactly what Dr Isaac wanted next before he said a thing. almost choreographed. I’m kind of wishing Dr Isaac was my main dentist now but don’t want to let my existing one down! Highly recommend and very skillful. Thank you and your very efficient staff.

Dr. Isaacs and his wonderful staff made my first ever root canal an extremely smooth experience. I was wholeheartedly impressed with the level of skill, efficiency, and professionalism by EVERYONE there! My only compliant is he doesn’t practice general dentistry! Thank you Dr Isaacs and staff!

I try my best to avoid dentists by good brushing and flossing habits. Unfortunately for me, pain and swelling was so serious that my regular dentist sent me to a SPECIALIST. I decided to try out Dr. Isaacs based on a referral, and I greatly appreciate that referral.
All of the other reviews are spot on, from the equipment to the comforting. Dr. Isaacs office, staff, and practice is top notch and I highly recommend to all friends, relatives, and Unilocalers.

A patient of Dr. Isaacs for years. sent to him for root canals which I guess is his specialty. He deserves 6 stars. They don’t get any better. Premier dental service in every respect

Dr. Isaacs is FABULOUS! Again I waited longer that I should have to make this appointment, but he made me feel like I wanted to come back the next day and do it all over again! (almost) Very comforting and ultra «state of the art». I would have certainly lost my tooth if not for Dr. Isaacs. He is the very best in his field.

I woke up at 4am with a terrible pain in my tooth. I waited till 9am to call a dentist (
). I went and saw her and she referred me to Dr. Isaacs because of the severity of the root canal needed. They normally closed at noon that day, and that’s actually when they took me in… so they stayed over 2 hours later just to help me out!
I had to go into Dr. Isaacs’ office two times since the nerves were so inflamed. He told me that it is possible to do it in one visit, but it would’ve caused a lot of pain. Instead, two visits. First visit, some work, then antibiotics and pain meds, then second visit was no pain at all!
I was pleasantly surprised by this, since it was my first root canal and I was pretty stressed out about it. He, along with the rest of the staff, kept saying «you’re such a good patient.» I imagine they tell most people this, but I don’t care, it’s still nice to hear.
I don’t have dental insurance (the joys of self employment), so they worked out a payment plan.
If I ever need more work done that my regular dentist can’t take care of, I know where I’m headed!

Went in for my other root canal this morning and I survived! It went pretty much as smoothly as last time. I say ‘pretty much’ only because my jaw was KILLING me because of my TMJ but it is not their fault that I ate too many cornnuts as a child. Plus, anytime I needed a break on my jaw, Dr. Isaacs would stop and let me rest until I was ready.
I am now on the road of recovery! I was assured again that I handled myself, and the procedure, well and that I was a great patient! Yay!
It’s always good for me to hear praise since I had a dentist in the past who, when I started screaming in pain, insisted that it was my fault that it was hurting. Yeah. Right. Jerk.
For anyone needing tooth work done, I recommend this office in a heartbeat! (:

For me to give somebody whose job basically entails abusing my mouth with various medieval torture devices 5 stars they have to be pretty special. He’s quite possibly the best dentist I’ve ever seen. He seems genuinely interested in medical science which I find to be an endearing characteristic for a doctor of any type. Plus, for a person who probably deals with cranky people all day he’s quite amicable.
I love the way the office is decorated in a nautical/​island theme. The other members of his office were all just great. I was actually referred to a different endodontist but went here instead because, well, I’m a rebel without a cause I guess.
They pay a lot of attention to hygiene and cleanliness. Dr. Isaacs seemed pretty intent on making sure I wasn’t swallowing a bunch of chemicals which I appreciate. They even put goggles on my eyes to protect them from flying tooth debris.
Of course, I’m in horrible pain… but it’s nothing that can’t be solved by 800mg of ibuprofen and 3 glasses of wine. I’m looking forward to the day when root canals can be given the Star Trek way… but for now I’ll stick with Dr. Isaacs.
The only complaint is that he’s a specialist and that means I can’t see him for my general dental needs (not that I’m the type who actually goes in for regular checkups anyway… but if I wanted to…)
