GSP Painting Company

For starters if you Google Map their address you’ll find that its not even their legitamate location. Its a CHP highway office. I had the startling and unfortunate experience of finding this out in the middle of my cabinet painting job done by a sub company they operate as Smart Choice Cabinets whom I hired to re-​do my cabinets last June. After two weeks of 2 hr late appointments and no shows the third week rolls around and all of their phone lines get disconnected. A few days after that happened no one even as much as tried to call me and I was sure they had gone into bankruptcy and my cabinet doors would be lost for good. Anyway, it took me two long and agonizing weeks to learn through more failed phone calls and a threat of legal action to their General Manager to get any kind of attempted resolution from them. They don’t understand the meaning of scheduling, don’t care if they push you aside and will never tell you the truth behind why there are so many delays. To date my job is incomplete. My advice about this company is «run the other way»…
I found out later that they moved their facility in the middle of doing my job. No one ever contacted me about it until after my job was delayed for three weeks and then their attitude was «whats your problem»? F–

Making an appointment with this company was great. They returned my call quickly and the lady was very nice. I made a 9am appointment for a popcorn ceiling removal estimate.
On the day of the appointment, Shane contacted me at 8:15am to verify my address and let me know they’re on their way. At 8:50 John called me to let me know he’s running late and won’t be here until 9:45. It’s 10:05, John calls me again to tell me his truck broke down and he’ll call me later to reschedule an appointment. It’s now 2 days later and I haven’t heard from them. As much as I hope him and his truck are okay, maybe it was just a fluke but it all just seemed a little odd and unreliable.
Good thing it happened to be on a day I already took off work. This seemed like a good company with the initial correspondence but it looks like I’ll be working with someone else.

The painters are really cool but they did miss two trim pieces. We had to call back, twice, to remind them. John was exteremely appologetic and promises to come tomorrow. I wish I could give 4.5 stars.
