Gong Yu Acupuncture

I have been seeing Doctor Gong twice, so far I felt pretty good, Doctor Gong is nice, experienced and caring and really treat your problem carefully, it took app. 1.5−2 hours for each treatment and the price is pretty fair. I will continued to see her.

I twisted my back and it was so painful that I couldn’t sleep for 3 nights in a row. I went to emergency room on the 3^rd night, but the doctor only advised me to take some pain killers. It was Dr. Gong who magically healed my back pain. I can’t thank her enough. She is a magician. Highly recommended.

I had a shoulder pain and decided to go to this place upon friends referral. I have the best insurance one can ever ask for. But instead of calling the company to verify my coverage, they want me to pay $ 110 cash in case the insurance company doesn’t pay. I told them my insurance will cover and why should I pay cash while it is coveted?! I decided to leave because it’s very clear this place does not have the basic ethics in the healing business. I would give a negative number if there is such choice. Stay away from this place.

I was treating by another acupuncturist in Alameda for long time but the driving was too long from Fremont. I decided to give local doctor a try since GongYu office is real close to my neighborhood.
The first time was done when I suffered severe arm pain. She treated me with acupuuncture, cupping and massage (2 hours). My ppain decreased immediately. Later I had gone 4 – 5 times until all the pain (including the long time back pain) was gone. Now I am going regularly as maintance to keep my immune system high.
Dr Gong Yu is kind, caring and experinced Chinese doctor. I highly recommand her to you.

I first visited Dr. Gong’s clinic six years ago then became a regular visitor. In my opinion, Dr Gong is the best acupuncturist. She’s experienced, knowledgeable and very caring. I’ve tried other acupuncturists when Dr Gong was out of town, they are just no comparison.
Her treatment is very reasonably priced, for one appointment you receive full body treatment of an hour and half.

Came here twice for some back pain I was having on the insistence of my mother. Both times I had acupuncture and cupping done. I won’t comment on the effectiveness of acupuncture or any other Eastern remedies, although the lady who runs this place honestly had no idea what was wrong with me. She was fairly cordial and chatty, and wasn’t one of THOSE people that are constantly watching the clock while taking care of you.
I didn’t have any pain after the needles were taken out, which most of the time indicates that the person didn’t know what he/​she was doing. This is definitely a hole in the wall acupuncture place, which I don’t know is the best situation for something that requires a ton of needles being stuck into you. She did wash her hands and the needles were thrown away (in the trash, not a sharps container as is usually the protocol). Also it was super cheap (again, is that a plus or minus.?)
However, she came highly recommended from my mother’s friends, so it may be worth a try if you’re looking for some acupuncture. It also depends on your quality vs. quantity/​price perspective. Still, I feel that while this isn’t too bad of a place, there are definitely better places around. especially in Fremont!
