Fremont KinderCare

We started taking our 6 month old daughter to Kindercare in Fremont earlier this year. So far it’s been a great experience. Mrs. Gurdeep is her primary caregiver and has done a wonderful job. Our daughter has bonded well with her and has shown a lot of developmental growth already. The other caregivers in the infant room are also fantastic and take over for our daughter in the late afternoons. Overall, the Fremont center is very well run and we are very comfortable with the arrangement — so much so that we drive an extra 40 minutes each day for drop off and pickup. I’d definitely recommend this daycare.

My son started at Kindercare from 6 months old and I am happy with our decision in his first day care providers.
My husband and I love coming home from work and reading our son’s daily progress report together over dinner. I love the level of detail Ms. Gurdeep provides with going over all of the activities she did with our son and all of his meal times and diaper changes. I feel from these reports that she genuinely cares about his growth and education and that he is receiving a curriculum rather than just day care.
Also when we first dropped him off when he was 6 mos old he was just a little baby sitting up on the floor. I remember being so impressed by some of the other little kids who crawled right up to me smiling and interacting. In 1 short month, he had transformed into a little boy, crawling to greet me when I came to pick him up in the evening. Now, several months later, he’s walking and very independent. I hardly recognize that little baby.
Things I love about Kindercare: they provide sippy cups, spoons, bowls etc. You just bring the food and bottles you want fed (with labels they provide!).
They also provide a sleep sack for your child if you choose, and bibs etc. Less laundry and washing for you!
They followed my schedule to the letter but also gave me feedback when they felt he was changing or growing out of his infant schedule, or if he needed another snack for example. He has his own cubby and his own crib designated just to him.
They follow AAP guidelines– back is best for sleep, no pillows etc in crib. You need to sign your child in and out each day and there are codes on all of the doors– good for security!
As the child gets older, they even get food provided at school!
One of my favorite things about Kindercare is the community feeling. They had events such as picture day with a professional photographer, and for Father’s Day they had a group come in to make porcelain hand prints etc. I love getting these tokens and projects my son «makes» at school.
Thanks Kindercare for taking such good care of my son, and for being not just a daycare, but a school!

Teachers and classroom are clean ! Good hours. The prices compare to other places are high. Maybe fix the drop off parking better. Some kids come in sick they should be send home.

I scheduled a tour with Kindercare after seeing the Unilocal reviews. However, my experience during the tour was not pleasant. Cyndi told me that there were openings for an infant and hence we decided to visit. But during the day of our visit, we were made to wait for 15 minutes with our infant without even being offered a seat. and then a lady named Janet appears to say that the spot has been taken yet she can give us a tour if we wanted to have a look. She simply went into the office without even waiting for an answer from us. She was not even apologetic for wasting our precious time. I am glad that i got to know the attitude of the administrators before i could enroll my child for i do not want my child to behave like Janet did when she grows up. God save the children who live in this daycare. Appalling customer service.

Our older daughter graduated from this Kindercare 8 years ago and we are extremely happy with the care, attention and love she got for the five years she attended. In addition to the usual activities, we signed her up for «Hooked on Phonics» and by the time she was 4, she was fluently reading children books in the local Barnes & Noble. All teachers in every room were near tears to see her and her classmates when they left for kindergarten because they loved each of them as if they were their own kids. She is now in 7^th grade getting straight A report cards and reading advanced books (To Kill A Mockingbird, Lord of the Flies, Julius Caesar) easily. We feel the social and educational foundations she developed at Kindercare gave her a head start in excelling later in school.
Fast forward 8 years and we were looking for a place for our two year old. We visited Kindercare again and was surprised that the director from 8 years ago, Miss Syndee, was still there. In fact, the assistant director, Miss Janet, was still there too. The surprises didn’t stop while we walked around the campus and a great majority of the teachers from 8 years ago WERE STILL THERE. On top of that, Miss Wanda, the «Hooked on Phonics» teacher that taught my older daughter how to read WAS STILL THERE. Even though we visited other daycare facilities, this was a no brainer and we signed the little one up as soon as a spot opened up.
Eight years ago, my wife and I remarked how all the teacher turnover was nonexistent. This gave us comfort in knowing that our daughter would get consistent care as she transitioned between rooms as she got older. Eight years later, I’m convinced that the teachers just love what they do and happily stay at this campus, giving warm guidance and care to all kids. This is a testament to the environment Miss Syndee provides to allow the teachers to do what they do best. For example, I told Miss Wanda about the books the older daughter was reading and she was giddy with excitement. They are just excited about their «jobs».
There is a reason why this Kindercare campus has a long waiting list. I hope my review explains why.

Both of my kids are recent graduates from this particular daycare center. My wife visited several preschools in the region before deciding on this center, and we are so glad we did. Our kids loved the program, and graduated being more academically and socially prepared for kindergarten than their counterparts.
My daughter graduated last autumn. On her last day, the teachers cried. That’s how much the teachers love their kids at KinderCare.
Ms. Cyndi does a great job of running the center. Everything is well organized.
The fees may seem high for the uninitiated, but it’s really a small price to pay for the knowledge that my kids were happy, safe, and learning for the 10 hours they spent there each weekday.
