Fremont Auto Glass

This place is a rip off! I wonder if they paid for the positive comments and recommendations. They replaced my son’s truck windshield. A few days later it rains and the top of the windshield leaks. My son calls them and is told (without verification) that the top area of his vehicle where the windshield attaches has rust and reason for the leak.
The next day I call and talk to the Manager Naj I believe. Explained situation to him to fix the leak under their warranty. He states his technician said there was rust and told my son that. My son said «Dad he never told me anything. He installed the windshield, I paid him and he left. He never said anything.» I told Naj this and he agreed that they would come out and repair the leak.
Naj gave my son Omar’s phone number and gave him a two hour window for the repair. You guessed it no «Omar», call Omar tomorrow no show this happened four (4) times.
I call Naj who is very arrogant, rude and just a plain AH. I told him I am retired and this is what I am going to do if he doesn’t honor his warranty. Naj doesn’t let me finish and states don’t threaten me. I don’t care if your the President of the United States. You must be attorney (I am not) amongst other things. I finally told him no threat that if he would not fix the windshield I was going to take him to small claims court, his choice either fix the windshield or prepare to answer to the judge.
Naj then said let’s concentrate on getting the problem fixed. Finally a technician came out and I believe fixed the problem.
I asked my son why did you choose this company. He said they were the cheapest prices company he called. I told him I hope you learned a lesson that the cheapest isn’t always the best.
I believe this company goes by Nation or National glass also.
My advise pay a little more and save yourself a major Headache!

Naj at Local Auto Glass is the man. I hate it when I call a business and they dont’ know their product. I called a few places didn’t even know how to communicate. I ended up with With Fremont Auto Glass. I have quite alot of experience with glass vandalism and replacing windshields in the past. After Naj spoke to me, he earned my business because he knows his product very well. After listening to him explaining so many different things that could go wrong while installation, and so many cheap products out there that are being used. I always challenge people to answer my questions and he was able to, and as a very anal picky person he took his time patiently and answered all my concerns. Naj provided outcall service to my house on a Sunday, sent out Kenny to replace my windshield. Kenny shows up to my drive way within few hours with a nice clean bright red mobile truck. Very clean and organized set up of tools. After watching him install i was impressed with the quality of work they provide. The price was right and the service was professional. I will be Fremont Auto Glass repair life time customer.

Overall: After a Auto Burglary (Break-​in), I was shopping for an clean-​up and for an driver door window glass replacement. I found these guys online and on Unilocal but I was little spectacle about the deal since a windshield and a driver window should
be closer to $ 300 but I was surprised when I saw the final bill which included all
charges and fees, etc and both glasses (Windsheild, and Window Glass) for under
$ 250.

This shop is GHETTOOOOO!!! So I read a lot of great reviews on insiderpages and decided to go with them. I call and make a mobile service appointment (he was twisting backwards to get me to come in instead of mobile, but it’s just easier for me, did you hear of customer sevice?) same day and he quotes me $ 265, I decide to just pay cash since my deductible is $ 250. I’m researching online and see that have half off your deductible, so I’m thinking great, let me call back and tell them to use my insurance.
I call back and the guy is like I quoted you $ 235 (which is less than my deductible so the 50% coupon wouldn’t apply!) and I’m like no you just told me $ 265 10 minutes ago and I already wrote the check. He puts me on hold and says my bad, it’s $ 265. He then goes on to say, «if you go through insurance it’ll be a hassle because they need some numbers and I don’t have numbers to give them my boss does, and it’ll take days and I can’t provide you with the service today». So I ask how many days (I mean it’s $ 100, that’s a new pair of shoes!) and he says I duno, maybe 2. I say OK, then he says, «I lost your insurance’s number can you tell them to call me.» I ask him do you want them to call you today or in 2 days?” He says «whatever, today is fine» and hangs up. I’m like whoa that was rude, but justify his unprofessional behavior with an excuse that he got nervous or busy.
I called my insurance and they called him within 10 minutes to get the number and he tells the insurance lady, «I don’t have a tax ID number to give you and I never will». My insurance lady seemed pretty upset at how he had talked to her too.
I was completely shocked. They’re probably doing something illegal and I’m reporting them to the BBB. They tell me one thing (including that I“m going to be a hassle) and then rudely tell my insurance they’re never going to have a required number for them. I talked to my insurance and they said glass companies always have to provide a tax ID number when they bill the insurance. I guess these people are working around it somehow.
I’d rather pay $ 100 extra bucks now for some decent customer service and ethical/​legal windows. Now back to researching more window companies… ugh. Will never recommend this place to anyone, except maybe my enemies, but I don’t have any. at least that I know of.

The front windshield of our Audi needed to be replaced. I googled and found
where I could enter some info. I got a phone call from Naj within 15 minutes. He quoted $ 169 for a Chinese aftermarket windshield and $ 189 for one that’s made in the US. This was including labor, tax, and lifetime warranty on labor and defects in the glass. (I chose the US one because he said customers told him that one is stronger than the Chinese aftermarket one, so it was $ 120 for the glass, 57.50 Labor and $ 11.70 tax). I could go to the shop or they could come to my house, same price. Installer Miguel + another employee came to my house that same day and took care of everything in no-​time. The decorative rim around the glass (which had blown off on the bridge one time) was put on free of charge. I was very happy with the service and price.
BTW on the invoice it says Auto Glass 4 Less /​Fremont Auto Glass.
I also contacted Safelite and they quoted $ 202 and couldn’t stop by as soon.
