Wow I love Hanifa so much! This was my first time getting my makeup done so I was really nervous. I came in & let Hanifa do her work… And I was absolutely astounded after she finished! She was very sweet & considerate when she did my makeup. Hanifa is not only a miracle worker for makeup but also for hair. I told her that I wanted a one-​side style & left the rest up to her. Amazingly, Hanifa styled my hair perfectly even though I did not even show her a picture of what I was looking for. Thank you so much Hanifa for my amazing PROM look! I 100% recommend Hanifa for anyone who’s looking for an artist/​stylist to make them look even more beautiful!

had a party of 6 + myself reserved for my wedding day to come here for hair and make up. My mom and sisters ended up going else where THANK GOD and only myself and 2 sister in laws remained here. They came at 11:30 and Hanifa Jaan finished with them at 3:30 ish Mind u I have to be at my wedding by 4:30 so how on earth will I be ready on time for my own wedding? Anyway, after she completed their makeup she thought to spend more time and take pictures of them for her IG… at 3:38 she finally came to start on me. I’ll never ever forget the time as my husband called me to say he’s at the salon to pick me up… and I had to tell him in tears that she was just starting. As opposed to an apology I got yelled at and was told that I was making her nervous. Anyway, I didn’t end up paying her the full $ 450 she wanted due to her spending only 1 hour and 2 mins with me. The reason you charge a bride so much is for your time and what I was given was a horrific experience. So sad cause in the past I always enjoyed my haircuts etc.

This is my Before and after I get my brows threaded by Farida at cutting edge in Fremont Blvd! Love how she does my eyebrows! I’ve been going to her since 2006!!! She’s great and the price is great as well! I would def recommend her for eyebrow threading.

I’ve been here a few times in the past. My experiences haven’t been the best but not as bad as a few days ago. I went in for a hairdo, basically blow dried hair, half pulled up. Nothing super hard. I wanted a few more loose curls added in. I made an appointment at 2 and got there around 2:10. Mind you, they don’t have enough parking. Usually even if you’re late a few minutes, the stylists usually wait because no body schedules appointments after one another. Wrong. I waited until about 3:50 when the older lady finally tells me to sit down on a chair because they had a lot of clients. Hanifa, meanwhile, was working on another client and when I ask her how long? She ignores me for a couple of minutes instead of saying hold on and then finally goes a few more minutes. This was around 3:20. The lady then puts me on the chair, warms up the curlers, and walks away. If you’re so busy then why did you book so many clients on one day? Anyways, I sit on the chair for another 10 minutes and then she comes back and I tell her I have to have my dress picked up at the alter by 5 since I has an event I needed to wear it to the same day. At this point, it’s already 4 o clock. She tells me how she was waiting for me for an hour and asks me why I didn’t call her. She wanted me to CALL her when I was in the SAME SALON she was working at?!? What kind of bs is that? They need to invest in an assistant because they obviously can’t do time-​management themselves. She starts on my hair and tells me she needs to do another clients eyebrows since she had an appointment and it will take 7 – 10 minutes. I sit there for 11 minutes freaking out that I won’t have time to pick up my dress from the alter. She finally returns and rushes my hair. Doesn’t even pin it up even though we talked up it being a partial updo, hence why she told me $ 60 in the first place. The pin’s were not even pinned properly. One side was higher than the other. Gives me a slight tease, which fell down halfway home, normal curls that I could have done myself. The middle part wasn’t even straight. I mean, I paid you $ 45 for a hairdo and if you can’t split my hair evenly, why do you even work at a salon? On top of that, the picture obviously shows the hair being blow dried so it’s all sleek and she just resorted to curling my hair right away. Stay away from this place. They charge you so much money for such a horrible job. I would much rather pay $ 80 at a salon like 3sixty.

I LOVE Hanifa, she is absolutely amazing! Her prices are pretty high, but she will not let you down. My mother, sister, sister-​in-​law, and I got our hair and makeup done here for my engagement party and we all turned out so gorgeous. My mom looked so skinny, more beautiful than I’ve ever seen her– so elegant. Hanifa works very quickly, and does quality work. We came a bit late and all left on time.
I just had to show her a pic and she gave me better. Two days before my engagement party I got my face waxed for the first time, the next day I broke out like crazy. I have never had more than three or four pimples at a time and just before my spe day my whole face was bumpy and red. I was devastated. I let Hanifa know, and did everything I could to reduce the redness and acne. By the time Hanifa was done with me you could barely tell my face wasn’t anywhere near flawless.
When I walked into the banquet hall, my father, aunt, and sister all reared up and everyone told me I looked so beautiful. Hanifa made me feel so beautiful for once.

If I could give Hanifa 0 stars I would! She is very unprofessional. My cousin and I went to her for wedding makeup. She is getting married in June and needed to do a trial with her. Hanifa told her that she was going to charge her $ 130 for foundation, blush and ONE EYE. ONE EYE. We asked her how can she know how the complete look will look like if we are getting an incomplete trial? She said if we wanted the full look it will be $ 450. Mind you this is a TRIAL to see if she wanted to even go with Hanifa for makeup… I am truely disgusted with Hanifa and her tactics. This is not the first time she has done something shady or tried to pull a fast one. My last experiance with her was just as bad. We had booked her for the day for the bride and bridesmaids makeup and hair and she decided to go on vacation without telling anybody and the day of the wedding we all showed up at the salon confused and baffled. My poor cousin was in tears on the day of her wedding. Another time my mother and her had set a price for hair and makeup and after she finished the look she raised the price $ 40 extra dollars! These experiences are a couple of years apart but we all can see even years later she is still just as unprofessional as she was a couple years ago. My family and I won’t be coming back to this salon and we are partly to blame for continuously coming back but not this time. I would definitely steer clear from Hanifa and her salon.

I went to cutting edge to get my eyebrows threaded by Farida. An acquaintance of mine recommended this place and I thought why not check it out. Farida did my eyebrows and usually I can easily handle threading as Ive gotten my eyebrows threaded for over 7 years now. When Farida threaded my brows, she was a bit rough and her hand was kneading into my eye which felt really uncomfortable. I also did not like the fact that she was talking on the phone while threading my brows. I think its a bit unprofessional. She used pluckers and thread to shape and trim my brows. I thought she did an ok job for the price-​$ 10. I did have some stray hairs that I had to trim after I got home.

Hanifa and Farida are amazing

I was recommended to Hanifa thru one of my friends, and i have to say she is the best! I love how she does my hair! I have recommended all my friends to her! If you want a good haircut or dye go to Hanifa!

I’ve been coming to this salon for over 10 years and keep coming back. Their prices are very reasonable and staff is like family. They always always do a fantastic job in my color and cut not to mention eyebrows. I live in san mateo but drive all the way to Fremont. Well worth it…

Unprofessional buisness. Had my sister’s wedding party here before with 5 girls but they did a horrible job on one of the bridesmaids hair which ended up with curls falling out. The brides hair looked like a birds nest. And last, when the other 3 girls were waiting on the hair dresser, we went to the back of the salon to see her talking on the phone with her man instead of attending to the other girls in order to get them ready in time to head over to flamingo soon. All in all, the bride dropped everything busted out our own hair tools and did the rest of the bridal party’s hair. It was a nitemare, but the bride came to the rescue. Little enough, the 2^nd hair and makeup lady decided she and the main hair dresser wanted to take pictures to put into their wedding portfolio. UH HELL NO. She over charged us for using her hairsprays lol. What a joke of a place. No thank you. We will not be recommending ur services to anyone else. Thx

This place is pathetic. Hanifa is extremely unprofessional and has no idea of customer service. She never keeps her appointment time and will finish her lunch half-​way through your hair color and come back and do your hair smelling of food.

Farida is the BEST with threading eyebrows. She really doesn’t care if it hurts you or not and BOY DOES IT HURT. But the results are fantastic. If you don’t want thin eyebrows, you have to tell her multiple times. She is amazing.

This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded here and it will definitely be my last! My appointment was with Farida. She was busy talking to someone on the phone the whole time doing my eyebrows. I told her I just wanted to clean the eyebrows up and requested her to keep them full and not to make them thin. Obviously she didn’t listen to my request because when she was finished, instead of looking like I had eyebrows, it looked like I used a magic marker for eyebrows. Just awful!

i dont remember her name but i got my eyebrows threaded here 2 times so far. LOVE IT!!!
she does a clean and thorough job. threads it then trims it. my eyebrows dont look like a furry catepillar but they do need grooming. i was recommended to this place after my friend (who does have furry brows) got hers done here. continiously when i see her, her eyebrows were great
the lady that does my eyebrows was a middle-​aged women and the whole process with $ 10. cant ask for a better deal

Been coming here for a few months now due to the new nail lady working here named Lany. She definitely knows her stuff with nails and does a great job. Trying to find the place is a bit tricky due to all the small shops around plus its on a busy street. You can park on the main street but there is parking in the back just keep a sharp eye out on the small driveways and turn in quickly. The shop is decent pretty tight-​knit with everything close in range. They offer cuts, styling, perms, waxing, threading and nails. The owner Haniffer (exuse my spelling) is a very sweet lady and always has different music playing. Kinda feels like a mini-​club. Go get your nails done and hair did!

BEST PLACE TO GET YOUR EYEBROWS THREADED! Only 10 bucks and they shape and clean eyebrows so perfectly. I’ve been going here for over 6 years, and have always left happy.
