(Written for his Redwood City office, but review still applies to this location). Fail! I’ve wanted to write this review for a while, but I withheld because I didn’t want his office to take it out on me by increasing my immunology dosage. Dr. Lipson is nice enough, but there’s no bedside manner from him or his staff unless it benefits them. They failed to inform me of their immunology hours, so I came at the wrong time more than a few occasions. The entire conversation when I called — Me: Hello, are there shots given today? Receptionist: Yes. It would have been helpful if she said yes, but told me Shannon was out to lunch. When I tried to go to their East bay location, they again failed to tell me the complete address and that it was another doctor’s office, so I’m standing there stupidly at the directory looking for Dr. Lipson’s name. Once I find the right suite, I was given the wrong hours again! Not only does it hurt my arm from the shots, but such an additional pain in the booty to even try to receive them. Three more things that irk me: 1) Dr. Lipson requested I not call the phone number listed on Unilocal anymore, because they only use that number for tracking new clients. 2) Dr. Lipson wanted to take a photo of me receiving my shots to post on his page. I’m beginning to see a pattern here, so I think not! 3) His office never forwarded my records when I tried to go see a new allergist. The one star is for the free candy, but you’re going to need a good dentist after long-​term treatment.
Addendum: A few results of my food allergy testing record were incorrect. Reactions: 3+ for chocolate, 3+ for lobster, 3 for tuna, etc. I’ve never had any problems eating these items, and I eat tuna sashimi/​tartare all the time. My new allergist confirmed my non-​allergy to cocoa bean, so could it possibly be that Dr. Lipson’s office chocolate solution had egg white in it (which is a confirmed allergy).

I am new to Unilocal!and don’t normally write reviews. Visited Dr. Lipson last week. had been having terrible allergies. Found Dr. Lipson to be very knowledgeable and thoughtful. Rather than trying to get me in and out … he took the time to provide a very thorough diagnosis (found out that I am allergic to about 20 different trees, grasses, weeds, etc). Staff was also fantastic. I would highly recommend Dr. Lipson.
